Anybody, I'm starting a sweet zkittles plant (1) in soil and have a few different size lights. I was gonna use a 400W Hps....is this a good choice providing I don't let plant get too hot ?
It depends on your tent space and what other lights you have. 400w are a lot of power for one plant. If you plan to do a Scrog to fill up a 100x100 tent then 400w is good. If you grow one plant in a smaller tent without using max space than I would rather use a light with less power as it could get too hot in there.
I have switched lights, using a 150W cfl, gonna switch again in a week to a full spectrum LED. (led has a max 100W, will only use 40%) So far all is good. Gonna train plant as only have a small space in a cupboard. Gonna try topping plant twice and tie branches down. Thats the plan 🤞
