MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 1 This time I decided to go with a cutting, specifically from the Utopia Haze strain by Barney's Farm. I plan to do a ScrOG (Screen of Green) with the plant later and spread it out nicely. Let's see how well that works. Honestly, the first week after planting went a bit differently than I expected. Right after transplanting into the big bed, it stood up well and looked stable. But after a few days, it started to let its leaves droop and overall seemed pretty limp. At some point, I got a bit uneasy about the whole situation, so I took it out of the bed again and put it in a smaller pot with some older soil. Since then, I’ve been leaving it alone and just observing. It’s still drooping a bit, but it doesn’t look completely done for. The leaf color is currently green to slightly light green, and the stem has taken on a reddish-purple tone, probably just stress from all the actions. The lowest leaf is already showing some signs of aging with small spots, while new shoots are still trying to come up at the top.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 2 This week was definitely a clear recovery phase for my little one. At the beginning of the week, you could already see that she was slowly straightening up and the leaf mass was increasing bit by bit. The new leaves look significantly healthier than the old ones, even though there are still a few yellow leaves hanging at the bottom. What was particularly exciting was a look at the soil. There are a lot of springtails and even some earthworms bustling around. When I lightly dug, I noticed that the top layer is nice and fine and crumbly, almost like coffee grounds. It looks a lot like worm humus, so the soil life seems to be doing well. I only watered moderately this week, more based on feel and the condition of the soil. The surface was dry in between, but there was still enough moisture underneath. By the end of the week, there was the next big step. I took the plant out of the pot again and planted it in the bed. Let's see how she handles the repotting this time.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 3 - 04/25 - 05/01/26 This week was definitely the wildest so far in the whole grow. After the Utopia looked rather limp the whole time, had yellowing leaves, and barely wanted to grow, I decided on 04/30 to loosen up the entire bed. I significantly reduced the mulch and lightly mixed in new soil so that the soil can breathe better again. I was already aware that I was interfering with the soil life a bit, but I just had the feeling that the bed had become too compact and the plant was lacking oxygen in the root area. While digging, I saw just how much life is in the soil. There were springtails, earthworms, and little millipedes everywhere. The bed is completely alive. But the craziest part was later when I watched the slightly older time-lapse video from the GrowCam. You could really see how the worms wander through the entire bed at night and turn everything over. It looked at times like little snakes were slithering through the soil. Really crazy and beautiful to watch.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 4 - 02.05. - 08.05.26 This week went by much more relaxed. I basically didn't do much except water here and there and just give the plant some time. And that seems to have done her good. In my opinion, the Utopia Haze has finally gotten used to the bed. The growth is slowly getting stronger, the leaves look greener and healthier again, and overall she seems significantly more stable than she did one or two weeks ago. Although the leaves are still hanging a bit, it's already a huge difference compared to before. You can really tell that she's starting to settle in and slowly gain momentum. Next up, it's time to slowly prepare for scrogging.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 5 - 09.05. - 15.05.26 On Saturday, I removed the first lower shoots that wouldn't have received much light anyway and would probably just have drawn unnecessary energy later. This allows significantly more air to reach the lower area, and the plant can better focus on the stronger main shoots. After that, I gave about 2 liters of water again. On Sunday, the Blumat system was installed, and finally, the grow net for later SCROG was set up. With that, the setup is now complete, and the plant can slowly spread out over the area. From Monday to Friday, I consciously did almost nothing else except keep the soil slightly moist. No major interventions, just giving the plant its space and letting it grow. The Utopia is continuing to develop steadily, growing visibly, and seems much more relaxed in the bed now. The phase is slowly beginning where it starts to build up proper area and prepare for SCROG.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 6 - 05/16 - 05/22/26 I haven't really done much this week, except let the plant grow. It was topped once and lightly defoliated to allow more air and light to get inside so it can slowly spread across the bed. The Utopia is looking really vibrant now. Rich green leaves, nice bushy growth. The clover cover crop is also growing well and keeping the surface nice and lively. I hardly had to water at all so far; the moisture is surprisingly well retained in the bed. Due to the warmer weather outside, the temperatures in the tent have risen a bit, but everything is still absolutely in the green zone. Overall, the week is going really smoothly, and I hope it gets a nice boost soon so I can start guiding the shoots through the net slowly. 😋

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 7 - 05/22 - 05/29/26 This week was actually pretty uneventful. I basically just gave the plant its space and let it do its thing. No major interventions, just removed a few leaves here and there and slowly spread the shoots under the net. The Utopia is now growing really strong. Rich green leaves, vibrant leaf color, and overall a very vital impression. The branches stay nice and short and sturdy, which is great, but makes threading into the net a bit more difficult. We'll see how long it takes until the SCROG net is completely filled. The cover crop is also developing excellently, and the bed is slowly turning into a little jungle. The Blumat system is running reliably so far and keeps the moisture nice and consistent. The temperatures were a bit higher this week due to the weather outside, ranging between 24 and 29 degrees. Humidity is settling around 65%, and the fan continues to run constantly. Overall, the grow is just running stable right now. It's a bit of the quieter and more boring phase, but that's how it should be. 👌

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 8 - 30.05. – 05.06.2026 This week everything went pretty smoothly. I lightly defoliated once and stretched the shoots further under the net so that the Utopia Haze can slowly spread across the area. The plant is currently growing really well, looks healthy, and has nice, rich green leaves. The SCROG is slowly filling up, and the cover crop has turned the bed into a little jungle. Other than that, I haven't done much and just gave the plant its space. The Blumat system is running stable, and the climate is also just right.

MyLittleGarden Vegetationswoche 9 - 05.06.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 10 - June 12 – June 19, 2026 This week everything continued as usual. I spread the shoots further under the net, defoliated a bit here and there, and pruned the clover cover crop again. Other than that, there was nothing special to do. The Utopia Haze continues to grow healthily and is slowly filling the area more and more. However, compared to my last grow with the King Juice, I've noticed that the Utopia grows a bit slower. The shoots are more branched, a bit stiffer, and don't spread across the area as easily. This makes filling the net take a bit longer than usual. Otherwise, the plant still looks in great shape and is developing exactly in the direction I envisioned. Now it's time to let it keep growing and observe.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 11 - 06/19 – 06/26/2026 This week was mainly characterized by the high temperatures. The bed dried out noticeably faster than usual, and the Blumat Digital showed values of over 200 at times. That's why I did some defoliation, continued to spread the shoots under the net using Low-Stress Training, trimmed the clover cover crop, and overall watered more than in the previous weeks. First 5 liters, a few days later another 4 liters, and then another 5 liters. Since the vegetation phase is lasting longer than expected, I also adjusted the light cycle from 18/6 to 16/8 to save some electricity. Despite the heat, the Utopia Haze continues to look very vigorous. It is growing steadily, slowly spreading across the area, and overall developing in the direction I envisioned. Now it's all about being patient and gradually filling the SCROG. 🌱

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 12 - 06/26 – 07/03/2026 This week I pruned the Utopia a bit more generously and spread the shoots further under the net with some Low-Stress Training. This way, the area is slowly filling out more evenly. I watered once with about a liter, otherwise I haven't intervened further. The plant still looks very healthy and is continuing to develop steadily.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 13 - 07/03 – 07/10/2026 This week was pretty chill again. I watered with about 5 liters, laid the shoots further under the net, and pruned the plant a bit more generously. Other than that, it’s still all about letting it grow. The Utopia is developing great and just doing its thing. But there was a little experiment this week after all. When I topped the Utopia Haze and the Blue Sunset Sherbert back then, I just for fun stuck the two shoot tips directly into the bed – near a Blumat dripper. After a few weeks, both cuttings actually formed roots and developed surprisingly well. I carefully dug them up and put each in its own pot. They are currently outside and can first get used to their new home. Let’s see what comes of it.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 14 - 07/10 – 07/17/2026 This week there isn't really much to report. The Utopia keeps growing, looks healthy, and is developing just as I imagined it would. I have hardly intervened at all, just letting it grow. I watered it once with about 4 liters of water.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 15 - 17.07. – 24.07.2026 This week everything went pretty smoothly again. I pruned the plant a bit more generously and spread the shoots further under the SCROG net so that the area fills evenly. I also cut back the clover cover crop extensively, as the bed had become quite overgrown by now. Other than that, nothing special happened. She still looks healthy, continues to grow steadily, and the bed is doing well. The Blumat system keeps the soil reliably moist and drips quietly away.

MyLittleGarden Vegetation Week 17 - 31.07. – 07.08.2026 Actually just like last week: not much done and just letting the Utopia grow. It still looks healthy and is spreading out bit by bit across the area. But it's slowly time for some defoliation again, and a few shoots need to go back under the SCROG net. Otherwise, it's just going smoothly.
