fadedgreentaurus Moved my 6 finalist to their outdoor home. This is a soil I have been working on and amending for 4 years with a plethora of ingredients it would be impossible to list them all I have a huge earth worm population and am hoping for a really successful summer. The ladies got their first compost tea introduction after their first night in the new soil and are adapting well I transplanted with big foot gold mycorrhizae with beneficial bacteria. Started an over night worm tea brew in a five gallon bucket. With fish emulsion molasses humic acid and castings. I also planted a pound of clover and legume mix as well as packs of herbs and spice seeds I had for the hell of it. Organic pest deterrent and chaos gardening why not. I’ll update as go and am now current instead of posting past weeks. Pest prevention with neem, bt, diatomaceous. Expect summer caterpillars planning ahead this year. Seen flies already but none near the soil. So far we’re in the clear pest wise. Large earth worm population I dumped an entire case of decaf coffee on the soil patch late winter and 13 pounds of quality castings to encourage this situation early February . I’ve found great success growing worm population year after year it is very important to note only use decaf. I forgot to mention in February I did a heavy blood meal feeding of this soil not to feed my plants nitrogen but to provide better nutrients to the worm situation. Really heavy 3 lbs of blood meal to be exact. then I leech it deep and let the worms do the rest, I theorize this helps them leave more quality castings but have no real proof. So far so good, no nitrogen burn, healthy worm population and seemingly great soil health. i will continue to flood the root zone with inoculants and increase the amount of of beneficial bacteria, fungus and insects as the summer progresses. Capping the comment for the week and will update a
New week soon.

fadedgreentaurus Something to note as the weeks go on is the placement of my grow space due to its east west walls planting late march early april allows me to get 2 pre flowering growths spurts out of 1 outdoor season and has directly contributed to huge success for me in years past. As of now preseason planning this grow is all coming to a nice crescendo. Soils happy cover crop sprouting hoping for scattered shower and the ability to collect rain water. Planning on keeping tea brewing as often as I can and sorta winging it, outdoor grow with an overnight work schedule makes for awkward documentation and work hours. Though this seems to be my most well organized. Grow as opposed to years past. Praying for lots of rain a humid summer and well timed pest management.

fadedgreentaurus Gained 4-5 inches growth on every plant since moving outdoors. Been feeding compost tea I formulate myself brewed in concentrated and diluted 50-50 I’m ramping up my soil nutes for a week window I’m going out of town and having someone water for me. I getting exactly the results I’ve intended so far and couldn’t be happier. I’m rotating neem and bt. I’ve top dressed castings and guano as well as some other light dressing of other organics to promote micronutrients, I can’t recall everything as I tend to sort of wing it as I see fit. Soil coloration near black and teaming with life great aeration as green mulch becomes more prominent above ground, signifying penetration and good oxygen supply to established cannabis rootball. Teaming with the smell of signifying proper biome health. As spring establish new life the health of the yard has me feeling optimistic for the rest of the season. Most plants have near doubled in size and kicking off new stems from most recent topping. Survived a couple colder nights also which I hope to be the last that low for the rest of the year near 38-40 F*. Hardly fazed plants remain healthy as ever. Cages are up hotter temps are on the way.

fadedgreentaurus Really coming along nice trying to get established in case I am called away for work or anything else over summer ideally these ladies will continue getting fed as long is there given clean balance water I’m going to hit em heavy with seabird guano at flower, probably crank up the molasses on that end, really just properly letting water sit oxygenated mixing and letting solutions hit microbial levels that put the real work in, I’m hitting with a nute I’m making myself 3 times a week at point all water is being carbon filter dechlorinated the aerated then to casting or mycorrhizae brews that I rotate my mycorrhizae brew is Bigfoot water soluble and dechlorinated water except I do more then recommended ok on the each time. Results are stunning my cover are dense earthy and rich bio smells tons of spiders and other good predators a large toad made a home in the clover also he must be chowing cause he’s healthy. I will be making a drive and coming back with a bunch of nutes I’m picking up out of state as well as some Carolina mantis cocoon I’m staying up on pest this year. I’m steady rotating neem bt since birth I’m not fucking around this time. Crank up concentration slowly but hitting light preventative pest spraying at least twice per week as it get warmer I’m gonna be in a constant panic about the stupid moths. Plants drink a lot of water already and technically my outdoor season has not begun for most around me till Mother’s Day. I’m already 11 weeks deep. Cages are rough on leaves but I’m not to worried about the ladies are
Strong a week of cages they Wii all be locked hugging there cage in place. Something in particular that’s rather stunning is the leaf quality health of all strains, it’s def what I’m doing with the soil. it appears that microbiological forces at work influences aspects of the plants of which results I’d yet to receive. The greenness and the crisp leaf sound when the leaf’s brush against something. Getting REALLY Excited about things! near perfect start. My big healthy wendigo not the cripple is def a top perform when I comes to sheer mass that is because that plant is super definitely tallest sitting at about 2ft. They are topping and splitting real well, black phoenix v2 isn’t performing to my expectations so far, though it’s new branches that coming in will be game changer come solstice. So we are now over month and a half left of healthy veg and flower stretch on these, all things willing I’m betting three these size ration looking for. (12ft or bust) Hoku seems to be great seeds for people trying to do outdoor for quantity. Mind you I have yet to see the flower this is mere speculation from what I’m witnessing of its veg time. The gluey c99 though.. that plants a straight beauty. Short but kicking perfectly shaped little sativa shaped hybrid leafs this plant took to topping perf one the best veg ladies I’ve ever had In this garden so far. Not the tallest but a stunner none the less. The snow jokez are really going for the gain lane too both are topped real well but one particular was my earliest successful top I was able to establish clean two cola fresh off the rip. Perfect fork Excited if these end up becoming trees all these stems and tops are gonna be bursting out the seams. Really want to find something cool to make our massive outdoor cannabis stem knots into one of days if anyone seen any thing cool holler fs.
So I did not anticipate the plants flowering so quickly and will be monitoring the situation in the case I need to remove small flowers with a nice top on everything going two weeks or so into may. Got small bud sites developing on every plant.

fadedgreentaurus We have officially entered the mutant phase everything is starting to shoot out three pointed mutant branch sites. Days have hit 14 hours should be in full veg just in time to hit another preflower growth spurt come mid July. Trying hard to clear 12 feet. I got 40 pounds cow manure 40 pounds chicken manure and 40 pounds castings in route today. Been green mulching my top layer added some pine needles bio char alfalfa meal and insect frass to my top layer as well as turbo charging my tea brews with nitrogen like blood meal. Ramping up my feedings as my plants and roots establish. Still hitting em weekly with myko fungus. Feeding my brews with blackstrap. Starting to attract moths and grass hoppers hitting regularly with neem and bt which I’m about to ramp up also. 2lbs of nitrogen heavy bat guano is getting added to the topsoil today as well.
Added some of photos of my cousins from the original 15 to the mix he doing pots not sure if nutrients sent him a couple year old fox farms bundle I had lying around if he care to use it over all his seem pretty healthy too I haven’t went to see em myself pictures were sent, thinks he’s dealing with some heat stress nice thing about pots is they could be moved I suppose.

fadedgreentaurus Still a little stunted and mutated from the reveg hoping for a strong bounce back week. Working with the best soil and nutrient balance I’ve ever had. Really healthy topsoil frequent neem spino bt spraying seems to be working as well as having a few toads in the garden still waiting for mantis cocoons to hatch. Over all really happy with the over all biome I have going. Getting a little worried about the over all moth population I’ve noticed traveling with in my state but feeling decently prepared.
Wednesday: topped heavy with organic nitro, about a pound of nitrogen heavy bat guano, 2 pounds alfalfa meal 3 pounds cow compost 2 pounds of meal worm frass, 1 pound of pelletized blood meal, also dumped the remainder of some seabird guano I had lying around, flooded with some liquid humic and fulvic (soil revitalizer) I had lying around, almost went through an entire jar of molasses this week alone got a gallon on the way soon, 15 pounds chicken manure, hit em with pound of gypsum. Half a bag of epsom, bout a half gallon of Alaska fish emulsion since the plants been outside and the same of liquid kelp too, mulched with alfalfa hay and all the rest of the top dressing I listed as well as pine needles. my plan is to cover crop again with some no till ( legume, clover) once the top dressing I just put looses some heat. Also been steady brewing compost tea. Watering and feeding been tough got some showers, tryna brew with rain water but I’m fighting algae atm. Every so often I prepare Bigfoot water soluble mycorrhizae and dilute my tea with that also. Really tryna maximize the organic nutrients with the space I’m working with to pretty decent success this year. Think I’m happy with the top dressing for now I plan on bulking up during flowering w/ P-K dress.

fadedgreentaurus Another heavy week top dress about fully built for veg till mid July or so then I’ll finalize for flower. Plants are still growing through deformation but are finally beginning to stretch again. Did a nice job topping and pruning early on. Pretty happy with the plants over all structure, all are bushy wide and seem like they will have plenty of space for a second stretch. Black phoenix V2 seems to be struggling a bit to reveg completely but shows signs of promise

fadedgreentaurus This next week should be the bounce back out of the stunt I have really been waiting for. Went with a heavy decomposing top dress instead of the teas I been brewing. Might add more castings other then that I introduced slow burning phosphorus and potassium to start breaking down into July August so it will be available to the plants then.
Will add the seed list for new cover crop soon.
Seed mix:
California Bluebells
Plains Coreopsis
Cherry Belle Radish
Cosmos Blend
Royal Carpet Alyssum
Sweet Genovese Basil
Common Chives
Slow Bolting Cilantro
Bouquet Herb Dill

I put such a diverse blend knowing sum will win out I also need a dense buffer to accommodate any buffer nutrient and allow me also to continuously increase diversity. Included a lot pest deterrent as well as beneficial insect attracting seeds to this mix.
Lots of lst preparing the final canopy.
Going so see how it grows out from here then decide how I am going about the trellis.
Aggressive veg getting in the last of my canopy LST before first layer of trellises.
June 12 first layer of trellis on 5 of 6 plants. Trellis for the 6th en route.
Final trellis up plan on re trellising in a month or so

fadedgreentaurus Cover crop breaking through lots of visible beneficial insects dirt smells good. Primed for the rest of veg/preflower.
It with mycorrhizae molasses humic fulvic liquid this water will hit with the remainder of the alaska fish emulsion the next few watering plan on keeping kelp mycorrhizae and molasses. Mostly applying top dress going through flower as well as some potash and the remainder Pk blend I prepared.
Ph a little higher than I wish might be a culprit of some over watering gonna allow a long dry retest and go from there those that have overcame the hormonal flowering shit are beginning to take off. Been amending the gravel and dirt surrounding my planting area and water around it too trying to encourage further outward root spread.
