HerzundLeidenschaft The race is officially on! The first contender in the 'Banana Battle' has entered the arena: Banana Cream Cake XL Auto by Sweet Seeds. My goal for this run is to push the resin production to the limit and hunt for those specific vanilla and banana terpene notes. Germination & Substrate: Method: Seed placed directly into the soil yesterday. Substrate: Using Floragard as my base medium for its excellent structure and nutrient stability. Mycorrhiza: Added a healthy dose of Mycorrhiza directly into the planting hole to ensure explosive root growth from day one. Environmental Control: Watering: Pure water with a precisely adjusted pH of 6.3. Feeding: I am currently in contact with Advanced Nutrients to finalize the professional feeding schedule for this high-end project. Now, we wait for the first sign of life. This run is all about quality, terpenes, and documenting the battle between the best genetics. Stay tuned for the sprout!" Key Data for the Log: Grow Way: Soil Nutrients: Advanced Nutrients (Planned) Seeds: Sweet Seeds pH: 6.3

HerzundLeidenschaft Halfway through the early veg phase: The Banana Cream Cake Auto XL from Sweet Seeds lives up to its name. The leaf development is absolutely on point for day 14. Despite the current fungus gnat invasion, it looks extremely vigorous and can't be stopped. You can literally see how it's preparing for the upcoming stretch. The genetics have been extremely easy to care for so far and forgive pest pressure without complaint. The battle remains even!

HerzundLeidenschaft 🌿 Plant Status & Development Strain: Banana Cream Cake XL Auto (Sweet Seeds) Phase: Week 2–3 (Vegetative Phase) Vitality: Extreme growth & unstoppable 📝 Grower’s Log: XL genetics showing their full potential ? Fungus gnats? What stress? While other plants take a break under pest pressure, this lady completely ignored the fungus gnat infestation. No growth delay, no fuss – the stress passed her by without a trace. The genetics just have an insane desire to grow! ✂️ Topped with flying colors I recently topped the plant, and she took the procedure like a champ. No visible growth halt, no shock. She’s pushing forward powerfully and starting to branch out beautifully bushy. The XL genetics are really evident in every millimeter here. 🚀 Upcoming nutrient upgrade: Silica & chelator power The next evolutionary step in feeding is coming soon. To further support the already extreme growth, my power duo will be put to use: Horsetail extract: Gives the cell walls a massive upgrade with natural silica, making the new shoots extremely stable and robust after topping. Fulvic acid: Optimizes nutrient availability in the substrate, so the XL genetics can’t even hit the brakes. The plant is an absolute beast in the tent! 🍌🍰🚀

HerzundLeidenschaft Welcome to week 4 with the Banana Cream Cake XL! After making the main cut last week and starting the LST cross setup, the plant has made a huge leap forward this week. The transition to flowering has now officially begun: the first female pre-flowers are clearly visible at the tips of the shoots. Canopy & LST Development: The targeted bending is showing full effect. From the initial cross structure, a beautiful, extremely bushy, and flat canopy has developed. All shoots are absolutely even, allowing the light to be utilized perfectly. The center remains nice and open, providing optimal depth effect and great air circulation. Nutrients & Plant Stability: The plant is bursting with health and shows a rich, deep green without any deficiencies. I owe this mainly to my current supplementary feeding: Horsetail extract: The supply of natural silica/silicon is paying off massively. You can see how extremely thick, woody, and stable the "knuckles" at the topping point and the branches have become. The foundation is rock solid to support the heavy XL buds later on. Fulvic acid: Acts as a perfect bio-accelerator in the soil. Nutrient uptake is running at full speed, which is noticeable in the absolutely flawless and rapid leaf growth. The veg phase is perfectly completed. The structure is extremely powerful, and I am absolutely ready for the stretch of the upcoming flowering weeks!

HerzundLeidenschaft Welcome to week 5 with the Banana Cream Cake XL! We've officially left the vegetative phase behind. The plant is noticeably kicking it up a notch now and showing why it has the "XL" in its name. The notorious stretch is in full swing. Growth & Vertical Push: From the side view, you can see brilliantly how the shoots are now massively pushing upwards after the intense LST. From the formerly flat carpet, an army of equal, vertical shoot tips is developing. The top view also shows how perfectly the plant fills the pot – the canopy is completely closed, capturing the maximum amount of light, and the energy distribution is absolutely even. Flowering Progress: The flowering is really picking up speed now. As seen in the close-up, clear, dense clusters of white hairs (pistils) are forming at the shoot tips. This is no timid showing of pre-flowering anymore, but the starting signal for real bud production. Stem Stability: A huge advantage now is the groundwork from the last few weeks. The thick, woody node at the topping interface is extremely massive and stable. As the branches stretch from the stretch, this solid base ensures that the plant can handle the sudden growth spurt mechanically perfectly, without the shoots appearing unstable or drooping. Nutrient uptake is running smoothly thanks to the continuous care, the leaf color is flawless, and the foundation for a fat harvest is rock solid!

HerzundLeidenschaft Status Sweet Seeds – Banana Cream Cake XL Auto: The Banana Cream Cake XL unfortunately stayed extremely small in this run. It stagnated in the early phase and couldn't reach its full potential in terms of size and yield. With automatics, the clock is ticking mercilessly from day 1 – if there's a problem at the beginning, the lady just stays compact. Wipe your mouth, keep going!

Nice vigorous growth, healthy leaf color and she seems to have handled the topping really well. It’ll be interesting to see how she branches out over the next couple of weeks. Keep it up

Hope it tastes good. Then the yield weakness won't hurt so much. Good luck with the drying. This summer is relentless too.😉

Interesting. I'm curious to see if the 8 weeks from germination to harvest are really accurate or if it's just more marketing fluff like the potential THC content/yield is ;) Good luck!

@xhibo, so far everything is going great, despite problems with fungus gnats.

Hey, how long did it take for your seedlings to pop? I had success with Sweet Seeds after 3 days, but now I've been waiting 7 days (BananaCreamCake) and there's still nothing. Have a nice grow :)

@Ramue, hey, the seeds went straight into the pot. After 3 days, seedlings came up from the soil.
