tantrumrage It's time to finally get my seeds going for this year's outdoor season. So I've soaked the seeds for 12 hours in a mixture of H202 and water and put them into the soil afterwards. Hopefully they should sprout within the next couple of days 🌱 I'll be running Sugar Black Rose from Delicious Seeds again as I really enjoyed this strain. And also Shaman from Dutch Passion. I've been curious about this one for long time. Only two plants this year so I'll still get to enjoy my terrace, at least partially 😅

tantrumrage We're off to a good start both seedlings germinated without issues. They grew a bit leggy so I've filled up the pots with some more soil and increased light intensity to ~300 PPFD. I will probably leave them indoors for the next 2-3 weeks and then transplant into bigger containers and move them outside. Really excited as outdoors is always special to me 🌱 thanks for checking in and see you next week!

tantrumrage They seem to be enjoying themselves, good growth over the past week and not too stretchy. I will probably top them next week and then move them outside around mid may. By then the chance of frost is near zero and they should be strong enough 💪🏻 Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage Fed some nematodes as a precaution, I might be getting paranoid 😅 Topped both plants and will start LST as soon as the branches are a bit bigger. Will probably transplant and move them outdoors next week. Really looking forward to having them on my roof terrace Thanks for checking in and see you next week. Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage They're finally outside and the weather couldn't be any better 👌🏻transplanted them into 42l SIP- Euroboxes, topped both one more time and put them onto my roof terrace. Can't wait to see them turn into bushes. A big thank you to Tim from Sonnenerde who was kind enough to provide me with their "Hanferde" soil for this run ❤️ Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage They've recovered from the translation and adapted well to the outdoors. Topped them one more time, maybe a bit premature 😅 but they've got plenty of vegetation ahead of them time to adjust. Weather couldn't be any better with 10-11hrs of full direct sunlight. Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage Both plants seem to be happy and adjusted really well to the transplant. Topped Sugar Black Rose again and did LST on both plants. The weather has been perfect the last couple of weeks and the plants grew quite a bit. They should turn into nice bushes over coming weeks 😁 Thanks for checking in and see you next week! tantrumrage Both plants made good progress over the last week. Removed a couple of leaves here and there and continued to LST them using stakes. In direct comparison Shaman is looking a lot tougher than Sugar Black Rose. Both are looking healthy with lush green leaves, really happy with the "Hanferde" so far. Thanks for checking in and see you next week. Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage What a difference a week makes 😱 They grew quite a bit despite the mediocre weather. Did some LST on Sugar Black Rose to spread her out more open. Shaman didn't get any training this week as I'm quite happy with her structure. I think they'll really pick up the pace during the next couple of weeks. Sorry neighbours 🤞🏻 Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage They are soaking up the sun and are really enjoying themselves despite the high temperatures. The wicker system is really shining in these conditions 👌🏻 Did some more LST and tried to spread them open and outwards. Not sure if I'll add a SCROG in the future or just tie them down using rope, we'll see 😅 They roughly got two more months of vegetative growth ahead of them and should turn into proper trees. Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage Another week full of sunshine and high temperatures🌡️The plants seem to love it and grew quite a bit. Topped a couple more colas to keep the canopy levelled and promote bushier growth. They are going to be huge 🙌🏻 The "Hanferde" is doing a pretty good job so far! Had a couple of pests starting to appear mainly aphids and also some thrips. Luckily nature took care of it in the form lady bug larvae I'll keep an eye out but it seems they've taken care of the pests. Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage I've decided to supercrop both plants. My fingers got numb fairy quickly so I've came up with the brilliant idea of using pliers 😅 PSA: don't use pliers as it's quite easy to damage the stems! I should've added a piece of rubber from a gardening hose. Or be more patient and do it by hand. A couple of branches died because they couldn't uptake water anymore. Shaman took the bigger hit but both will bounce back as there is probably another 4-6 weeks of vegetative growth ahead of them. Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage They've bounced back from the supercropping last week 🤞🏻 lost a couple of branches in the process but I'm not worried. It will probably take them another week and they'll be back to full health. It's also getting difficult to fit both plants in one picture lol. Smaller one is Shaman. Moved my chili and bell peppers because the terrace was getting crowded lol. Companion plants obviously did get to stay. Thanks for checking in and see you next week. Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage What a week it has been... a couple of thunderstorms, some hail and scorching sun. The plants don't seem to mind as they are thriving. They've now fully recovered from the supercropping and getting bushier every day. I was hoping they'd stay "small" but I don't think that's possible as they're not even in flowering yet. Hanferde is still doing a great job, will be interesting to see how the soil will perform during flowering. I've got some bottled nutrients just in case. Thanks for checking in and see you next week! tantrumrage I'm basically just waiting for flowering now. Will do a other defoliation this week and then once again during flowering. Shaman will probably have the purple trait as the pre-flower pistils are showing some pink/purple 😍 Thanks for checking in and see you next week! Happy growing 🌱

tantrumrage Another week gone by, real life has been busy so I didn't do anything apart from watering. And let me tell they've been drinking a lot roughly 10-15l per day. Shaman is really bushy and Sugar Black Rose is leaning more on the sativa side it seems. Shouldn't take to long now for flowering to start. Thanks for checking in and see you next week! I assume these are self-watering bases? Basically like the AC Infinity system I use, just 80% cheaper? 😁👌🏻

@tantrumrage, how many liters of water are your plants using at the moment? If it keeps going like this, I can water in the morning and evening... I'm already reaching the limit with the 30-liter fabric pots.
tantrumrage
tantrumrage commented2mo ago
@Tower84 I believe you right away. Currently, it's about 10 liters a day. Last year in the peak summer, it was even 20 liters a day 🙈🙈

@squalino, thank you very much! If everything goes as it did last year, it will produce enormous bushes. At Shaman, about 50% of the plants develop pretty pink and purple colors at the bud level. I hope it will be the same for mine as well.
