Dagnele Week 2 | Early Vegetative Stage All plants have successfully germinated and are now entering the early vegetative stage. They have developed their first sets of true leaves and overall look healthy, with a consistent light green color and no visible nutrient deficiencies. During the first days after sprouting, weather conditions were not ideal, with limited sunlight and unstable outdoor conditions. As a result, the plants experienced some stretching, showing longer and thinner stems than desired. To manage this, I added small supports and am considering topping up the soil around the base to improve stability. The substrate is a light mix with added perlite, ensuring good aeration and drainage. Watering has been kept minimal and localized around the base of each plant to avoid overwatering and to encourage root development. At this stage, the main focus is: - increasing exposure to direct sunlight as weather improves - reducing further stretching - promoting stronger stem and root development Despite the initial stretch, the plants are responding well and should recover quickly under better light conditions. No nutrients have been introduced yet, allowing the roots to establish properly before starting any feeding. Outlook: A slightly slow and stretched start due to poor weather, but overall a stable setup. With improved light conditions, the plants are expected to compact and continue healthy vegetative growth.

Dagnele Week 2 Update | Recovering From Early Stretch The plants are now adapting much better to the outdoor environment and showing healthier vegetative growth compared to the first days after sprouting. After a difficult start caused by poor weather and limited sunlight, the seedlings stretched more than expected during early development. However, since moving them fully outdoors, growth has started to stabilize and the stems are slowly becoming stronger. All plants currently show: - healthy green color - active new growth - no visible nutrient deficiencies - improved leaf posture under natural sunlight Small supports are still being used to help stabilize the elongated stems while they strengthen naturally. The substrate continues to perform well, with good aeration and drainage thanks to the added perlite. Watering has been kept light to avoid overwatering young roots. Current focus: - maximizing direct sunlight exposure - strengthening stems naturally - encouraging root expansion before introducing nutrients Despite the early stretching, recovery has been positive and the plants are beginning to establish themselves properly outdoors. Outlook: Growth is now moving in the right direction. If weather conditions remain stable and sunny over the next week, the plants should continue compacting and building a stronger structure before early training begin

Dagnele Week 2 Update | Outdoor Recovery The plants are recovering well after the initial stretch caused by poor weather and limited sunlight during the seedling stage. Growth has now stabilized and new development looks healthy, with better leaf posture and stronger stems forming under natural sunlight. Internode spacing is becoming more compact and all plants show a healthy green color with no visible deficiencies. The substrate continues to drain well and watering remains light to encourage root expansion. For now, the plants are still being brought indoors during the night because temperatures are dropping close to 10°C. This should only continue for a couple more days, as warmer weather is expected soon. After that, the plants will stay outdoors full time. The forecast also looks much better, with several sunny days ahead, which should help the plants receive as much direct light as possible and continue recovering strongly. Main focus now: - maximize sunlight exposure - strengthen stems naturally - prepare for early LST soon Overall, the plants are adapting well and entering a healthier vegetative rhythm.

Dagnele Week 3 Update | Explosive Vegetative Growth The last few days completely changed the pace of growth. After a slow start caused by unstable weather and limited sunlight, the plants are now exploding into the vegetative stage thanks to much warmer temperatures and constant direct sun. Temperatures suddenly increased a lot, reaching peaks around 32°C today, and the plants responded immediately with vigorous growth, larger leaves, tighter internodes, and much stronger overall structure. I also started low stress training (LST) on two of the four plants. Maybe slightly later than ideal, but the stems were still flexible and healthy enough to begin shaping the canopy safely. The goal now is to open the plants up and improve light penetration for future bud sites. A very light first feeding with ATA Terra Leaves was also introduced, just enough to support the accelerated vegetative growth without overstressing the plants. Current observations: * rapid vertical and lateral growth * thicker stems * healthy green color * strong response to sunlight * no visible nutrient issues Overall, the plants have fully recovered from the early stretching phase and are now entering a very healthy and aggressive vegetative rhythm.

Dagnele Week 5 – Pre-Flower Transition This week the plants continued their explosive growth, driven by warm temperatures and long hours of direct sunlight. They responded very well to their first light feedings of ATA Terra Leaves, showing healthy green foliage, vigorous branching, and no signs of nutrient stress. The first white pistils have now appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage. Starting today, I’m gradually transitioning from ATA Terra Leaves to ATA Terra Max. The first feeding includes both nutrients together, and future feedings will be focused on Terra Max as flowering develops. I also noticed a small aphid presence on some plants earlier this week. Instead of using any treatment, I introduced a few newly hatched praying mantises to the garden. Within days, they had cleaned up the plants naturally. One of my favorite parts of outdoor growing is seeing nature take care of itself when the ecosystem is allowed to work. The LST-trained plants continue to develop a wider, more even canopy, while all four plants remain healthy and are entering the next phase with strong momentum.

Dagnele Week 8 – Flowering Stretch and First Colors Flowering is progressing steadily and the differences between the cultivars are becoming more apparent. The two Purple plants are currently the most advanced, with well-developed flower sites and abundant pistil production. Over the last few days, the pistils have started showing subtle purple shades, an encouraging sign that the genetics may express stronger coloration later in bloom. This week I continued feeding with ATA Terra Leaves while gradually transitioning to ATA Terra Max. Today’s feeding marks the final step of that transition, and from now on the plants will receive only Terra Max as they move deeper into flowering. The Sour Jealousy that was left untrained has continued its vigorous stretch and has now surpassed one meter in height, setting a new personal record for my outdoor autoflower grows. The Purple that received LST remains more compact and bushy, with a wider structure and multiple flowering tops distributed across the canopy. Bud development is accelerating, the plants remain healthy, and flower production is increasing noticeably from day to day. The next stage should bring significant bud swelling and resin production. ⸻ Grower’s Note: The untrained Sour Jealousy has officially become the tallest autoflower I have ever grown outdoors, exceeding 1 meter in height. Meanwhile, the Purple genetics are already beginning to reveal their characteristic coloration through the first purple-tinted pistils. 💜🌱

Dagnele Week 10 – Flowers Stacking and Resin Production The plants have now largely finished their stretch and appear to have settled into their final height. The Sour Jealousy has reached approximately 115 cm, while the Banana Purple has stopped around 80 cm, maintaining a more compact structure. Flower development is accelerating noticeably. Buds are swelling across all branches and resin production is increasing every day, with trichomes becoming much more visible on the flowers and surrounding sugar leaves. The plants are now clearly focused on flower building rather than vegetative growth. The difference in flowering speed between the cultivars has become even more apparent. The Banana Purple is at least one week ahead of the Sour Jealousy, with larger and more developed flower clusters throughout the plant. An unexpected visitor also made a comeback. For several days I hadn’t seen any sign of the praying mantis that had been living among the plants, and I assumed it had moved on. Today it reappeared—and it was at least three times larger than the last time I saw it. It seems the garden is providing plenty of food and a good environment for its growth. Overall, the crop looks healthy and vigorous. The focus now is on bud expansion, resin production, and maintaining plant health through the remainder of flowering.

Dagnele Flowering Update – Heatwave Challenge This week brought an intense heatwave, with daytime temperatures climbing above 35°C (95°F). The plants clearly felt the stress: flowering has slowed down, and they have started sacrificing some of their older fan leaves to cope with the extreme conditions. To help them through the hottest days, I moved them out of direct afternoon sunlight whenever possible and watered them every day to keep the root zone from drying out. Despite the difficult weather, both plants are still producing resin, and the buds continue to swell, even if at a slower pace than before. The Sour Jealousy is progressing steadily, while the Banana Purple remains about a week ahead in flower development. One disappointment, however, is that the Banana Purple has shown no purple coloration at all so far. I was really looking forward to seeing those characteristic purple hues, but genetics and the consistently high temperatures seem to have kept the flowers completely green. Overall, this has been a week focused on helping the plants survive the heat rather than pushing for rapid flower development. With cooler weather hopefully arriving soon, I’m expecting the buds to resume bulking up and continue stacking resin over the coming weeks.

Dagnele Another week has passed, and the heatwave has definitely slowed things down. Temperatures above 35°C (95°F) stressed both plants, causing the flowering process to slow noticeably. Despite daily watering and trying to protect them from the strongest afternoon sun, they still showed signs of heat stress, including the loss of some fan leaves. The Banana Purple is now clearly the most advanced plant. Most of the pistils have turned orange/brown, the buds have swollen nicely, and the trichomes are mostly cloudy. Harvest seems to be getting close. The Sour Jealousy is still around a week behind. The buds continue to bulk up, but there are still plenty of fresh white pistils, so it will need a little more time before reaching full maturity. One thing that surprised me is that the Banana Purple never developed any purple coloration. I was really looking forward to those colors, but this phenotype stayed completely green throughout flowering. Even so, the resin production has been excellent. Compared to the naturally grown Sour Jealousy, the LST-trained Sour produced noticeably slimmer buds. The training created many flowering sites, but the plant spread its energy across more colas instead of building one large central one. To make things even more interesting, an unexpected hailstorm hit during the night. Several fan leaves were damaged or torn, but fortunately the buds escaped without any significant damage. Overall, despite the extreme heat and the hail, both plants are still healthy and approaching the finish line. Now it’s mostly a matter of waiting for the trichomes to reach the perfect stage before harvest.
