ohcibi Here we go again! Es ist wieder Mittwoch meine Jointer! In an unexpected attempt of reuniting hip hop Germany Samy Deluxe aka Dynamite Deluxe aka Dynamite Diesel along with Taktlo$$ aka MOR aka Royalbunker aka Royal Gorilla got together to make a final gig. Stay tuned for more information. Germination didn’t happen yet even though those are German rappers. But this still means we might face an embryonic death. Fingers double-ued. UPDATE April, 29th Woop woop! Both seeds popped! Light schedule set to 18/6 now. So let’s wait for them to grow up and then jump right into the second week exactly seven days after planting.

My second plant is looking a bit pale. He might had some condensation drops on him when first seeing full light. Apart from the leaves he’s doing fine. Water uptake is exactly the same as his brother and the leaves are equal in size. Shorter but wider. Do I have a problem?

Hey ohcibi! Don't worry too much just yet seedlings can often look a bit pale as they adjust to their environment and focus on building a solid root system. Those condensation drops can occasionally cause minor "lens effects" that lead to tiny spots, but as long as the center growth remains healthy, she should be fine. The fact that it’s growing shorter and wider actually suggests your light intensity is in a good spot since the plant isn't stretching for more. Just make sure you aren't overwatering while it's this small, and you'll likely see it darken up naturally as it gets established. Happy Growing Growmie🌱

ohcibi Entering Veggie week 1. Takti already got 300ml with my ferts week 1 dose yesterday and took it very well. Leaves were slightly hanging in the morning because of the added weight from the water. And they came back up to normal until midday today. Samy will get his water this evening or maybe even tomorrow morning depending on how his soil will feel later. Im recording time lapse videos again with a hopefully better approach than before. I can already tell it’s much simpler and less error prone. Let’s see if the quality can hold up to it. I already saw there’s more banding but that’s alright if the rest fits well. I just don’t have professional equipment for this (yet) and for what I have (iPhone 10, iPhone 13 and a Logitech c922 is literally all my video/photo equipment) it’s alright.

ohcibi Next week coming up. Don’t be confused. I let the last week in this diary run two days longer to account for the time those seeds needed to break the soil. This week I’m syncing back to the day of seeding, because it’s Sunday and that’s easier to remember, and because germination came so fast that the 2 to 3 day difference won’t matter much anyway. My fertilizer schedule syncs the same way, so I’m running the week 2 feeding three days earlier than scheduled, but that’s fine. On one plant in my last grow I was a full week ahead, and because of that I’m actually planning to push the feeding schedule hard enough to skip either week 3 or week 4 entirely. Currently I feed roughly 350ml of water mixed with 0.8 to 0.9ml of my 5in1 fert. In the first week that lasted 3 to 4 days. Seems like they’re chugging through it in 2 days now. Timelapse videos are recording. Since I’ve improved my recording method massively, I want to capture more material before I cut and process the raw footage into uploadable clips. Stay tuned!

ohcibi Update May, 20 Another 1.5l with week 4 dose. Takti recovered from topping. He grew massive leaves as well which wasn’t so obvious while he drooped. I also added training clips and wire to Samy as he grows „longer“. Takti is still too short for that. The clip would be too long. Update May, 18 Watered 1.5L each today. Used week 4 of the feeding schedule, so I skipped week 3. I also inserted a first scrog net to help with LST. I wanted to try using two nets this time, so this will be the lower one. The reason I hadn’t put it in yet was to not cast shade on the plants, so I placed it below everything. It has a nice side use: you can put lower hanging leaves up to make space for the water spray. Can only recommend putting the scrog net in as early as possible, in case you didn’t know that already. 😆😆 Update May 17 Another week, another progress update. Had a bit of a stressful situation a few days ago when Takti started drooping. Must be because he had a little root damage during transplantation. You can see it in the pictures from last week. Every other parameter was the same for Samy and he didn’t droop. I still set the light timer back to 20 hours, and he fully recovered. I’ve since increased it back to 21 hours and will go back to 22 in steps of 30 minutes. They are massive chuggers. I give them more than double the water I gave Ryu and Ken in my last grow, and they still handle it like it’s nothing. This week is also topping time. Started the week by topping both of them, as well as defoliating their single-finger leaves and the shoots coming from there. They should be fully recovered by the end of the week. Fingers double-u'd. Last but not least, I uploaded the timelapse, enjoy! I now need something to hold my iPhone in place facing the plants in their larger pots to continue it, and right now I don’t have the money for that. But I’ll see what I can do, maybe I’ll find something and can keep it going. On the upside: before, I was dependent on my gaming PC running to record the lapses. Now my iPhone can record for days without me having to babysit anything, so as soon as I have something to hold it in place, I can keep those going till the end of the grow, no problem. Stay tuned and happy growing!

ohcibi Update May 28 Topped the remaining two side branches. Versuch macht kluch as we say in German. Update May 27 Topped another two Side branches. I guess I’ll leave it at that. The temperature is permanently rising and I need more lights off to maintain it properly, so I will prolly go flower as soon as he recovers from this topping. Depending on how fast the recovery will be, I might do it one more time but that’s it then. So flower will start 🔜. Update May 26 Unsurprisingly Samy heard one of Taktloss' old rap battle punchlines, got insulted and they both decided to go solo. I was in the hospital for a few days and meanwhile Takti just exploded in growth. Took me a while to get everything nice and clean again but should work out now. Scrog is working well and within this and the upcoming week I have to decide whether to top the side branches before going flower or to just leave them alone and let them flower with only one topping. Lemme know in the comments what you would do. Obviously no news on the timelapses. I doubt I will find something within this grow. But as usual stay tuned!

ohcibi Update June 4th Another 3 liters fed today. As expected, this week is full of LST and scrogging only, but it’s going very well. The prep work I’m doing now is basically what I did in the first week(s) of flower in the last grow, so the foundation for flipping will be much better prepared this time. Maintenance on Taktlo$$ is even getting a tad bit simpler. Flipping is expected on Sunday. I’ll just keep the same week marker for simplicity, even if I could flip earlier. Update June 1st Fed a full 3 liters again. Those plants are chugging like hell. Prolly just more developed overall from double the feeding since the start. Maintenance on Royal Gorilla is still more demanding than Dynamite Diesel, but Takti is fully recovered from the extra topping. Scrogging is all that’s left now. Update May 31st FVW - Final veggie week. I’m not sure yet whether I will wait the entire week before flipping. I have no plans of further topping, so I might flip around Wednesday or something already. Strong feeding and light made this third of three Royal gorillas seeds grow like Ken. Very bushy and super large leaves. Stay tuned!

ohcibi Update June, 7th Flip flop flippidy flop flippidy flip flop floppidy flop! FFW - First Flower Week. Set the clock to 12/12 today and enabled the „flower mode“ of my lamp which basically just enables the red LEDs. So them plants ended up in the red light district now. This week will be continuing/finishing the scrogging and lsting and waiting for the stretch to set in. Only one row of scrog squares is left by now so the timing should be perfect. Plants looking good and healthy. I’m at week 7 of my fertilizer schedule and fed another 3 liters today.
