The_outdoor_guy It is finally this time of the year again! Finally!! This year i m super excited, cause i will be growing for my first time, regular seeds!!! I choose Durban Poison from dutch passion. Apperently regular seeds are supposed to be stronger and more resilient than feminised seeds. Most professional Cannabis producers use regular seeds as there go to. Iโ€™ve sorted my seeds based on an online theory that a "crater" at the bottom indicates a female plant. Iโ€™m curious to see if it works. I ll send some leafsamples later to a lab, to be 100% sure about the sex. On the 1st of april i took the pre-germinated seeds out of the plasticbag and into the soil. 2 days later the tiny green heads finally broke through the soil to officially be classified as a plant. Lets fckn goo!!!

The_outdoor_guy It is week 2 of vege i repotted them already and they are growing slowly but surely. This year i put my growchamber into a different place of the house. It is on avarge 10-13 degrees, not ideal but they take it and grow. In that room it will get warmer with the spring and anyway its just for the first 6 weeks, then they go outside. I can see some little structural differnce between some plants. I dont know though if thats related to their potential gender. Now i also took some leafsamples and send them to a lab in which they can identifiy the gender of each plant. I am super curious what the results will say!

The_outdoor_guy Only short update. The plantgrowth above the soil is slow, but i think the plant mainly invests its energy into the root growth below the soil rn. Its always funny it looks like the plant has some issues, and then one week later the plant grows like a mf. Two plants i watered with a neem-oil-solution cause they had weirdly wrinkled leaves --ใ€‹usually that mean there are some insects or nematodes in the soil that need to be killed, cause they are eating the roots. Btw for the Soilmixture I used our own garden compost mixed with the fertile first 3cm soil of our local forest. Its packed with nutrients, good microbs and a variety of diffrent mycrorhizae. No need to buy all this overprized soil they are offering! Thats just a rip off. I m doing my Master in Agricultural sciences rn and when it comes to soil and a lot of other gardening equipment, its crazy how expensive the companies sell something to you, that you can just get for free in your garden. Make use of your own resources guys ;)

The_outdoor_guy Week 5 The plants are exploding! Its just one week to the last update. The Durban Poison are the 4 plants on the top right. The whole bunch of them are very happy with the soil mixture and all the fertilizer I added. and i think the mycrorhizae from the forest-soil connected already to the plant roots, which is fckn good news! All plants are looking super healthy! And more good news 3 out of the 4 plants are females. The test results from the lab came yesterday ๐Ÿ’ช And apperently the seed sexing method worked quite well for 3 out of 4, very crazy! One seed that i idnetified as male turned out to be female. Only 2 more weeks and then these beauties will go outside! I m getting so excited! Next update in 2 weeks! I cant wait hahaha ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŽ‰

The_outdoor_guy In some days there will be more photos and extended update. :) So far the plants are loving the higher temperatures and growing like the mfs that they are. I added some fertilizer, just some regular multi fertilizer for tomatoes. That is good quality and has all the nutrients in abumdant quantity for canabis. And is much much cheaper than the special one for cannabis haha 4 moredays and then they go outside ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ช

The_outdoor_guy Chapter: Garden bed, going all out for the healthiest soil ever! Finally finally. The first chapter is finished! And now my favorite the outdoor chapter begins ๐Ÿ˜Š. The cosiest soil for thw beauties has been created, so they shall never lack of anything precious to them ๐Ÿ’ช. I prepared the plots as good as it gets. -Added loads of compost and sheep manure from my neighbour. The soil already had unbeliavably high number of earth worms, now even more to come ๐Ÿ™. -Added a 24hour compost tea from my own compost, to turn up the microbial activity to maximum. -Sprinkeled in some redclover seeds, for later soil cover and nitrogen fixation. -And put some strawmulch to decrease evaporation and keep soil tempreture steady. -And added more microrhizae, just to be sure๐Ÿ™ Now for the next weeks only thing to do is to water and wait for the plants to flurish! ๐Ÿ˜Š Last year i made a little mistake, i grew the plant like an indoor weed plant, mainlining... etc. Because of this the plants were quite small. This year i do it like i did in 2024, i top the plant after the 5th node, so it has 10 sidebranches to start with. An then we see where that goes. I really hope for at least one decent "Tree" this time๐Ÿ˜Š. Now lets see what the next weeks will bring us๐Ÿ’ช.

The_outdoor_guy Chapter Hail and Hope for recovery. 4th of june The weather is going crazy these days, it feels like we are in April. Hot day, sudden cold, rain, thunderstorm, hot, cold, cold, hot, rain... Then Yesterday (3rd of june) suddenly without even a warning in only minutes a crazy thunderstorm with Hail crashed through our garden. With Hailstones the size of my small finger. Nature showed again who is the boss wrecked literally all the plants in the garden, the chillis, the tomatoes, calendula... Playing with them like a rhino with a mouse. Ofcourse also the weed plants were wrecked and knocked off one of the young shoots of one of the plants. Its crazy to see the raw power of Nature, it just rolls like a wrecking-train. The pictures were taken the day after, there it looked already better. But yeah now I hope they really bounce back nicely! Fingers crossed!

The_outdoor_guy Chapter Mr. Plants! 9th of June One week later and this 2 soldiers stand like a steadfast german oak. They ate the Hail of last week like a free icecream desert in a 5 star restaurant. They look better than ever and packed on some good growth. Maybe they mistook the hailstorm for a nice massage in the spa, to release some stuck spinal tension haha. I m really surprised how well they bounced back. Awesome! So far they got no fertilizer, only good enrrgy and water. There are still lots of nutrients to be mobilised from the soil, and the plants are looking real good ๐Ÿ’ช

The_outdoor_guy Good Sun+ good Water = good growth. June 23rd Sometimes life is just easy. I m basically only watering this mfs and its hot af in Germany rn, and of course the plants are loving it. They r just doing there thing they dont care. They really donr haha. I just need to water them and with all the sun they reasamble that input into crazy Biomass = growth. If you watch close enough i think you would be even able to see them grow infront of your eyes haha. I didnt had the time to try that though haha. I dont even know if anyone is following my diary, in case of yes then i m sorry for the late update ๐Ÿ™ˆ. And thank you for going with me on the jurney ๐Ÿ˜Š In 2 weeks i will make more pictures and more infos. See ya soon!

The_outdoor_guy Performance of regular seeds is the shit! Juli 6th I think I can already see some difference in the performance of the Regular seeds. This plants look already more vigorous and healthier then the feminised one i had last year. Really interesting. Only 1-2 bugs on the plants, deep dark green and the growth is astonishing. Work done: I took of some leaves and some tiny side shoots. Treated them with more compost, organic horn mill and finished it off with some compost tea to get those bacteria working for us: Splitting that lazy as Ammonium into highly mobile Nitrat-juice. Plant response will be there ๐Ÿ’ช. Other than that, nothing crazy. Only watering, waiting and beeing amazed that this mfs grow in a blink of an eye. Next up, i will build the support cage, so no wind and no heavy branches(i hope they will be heavy) can harm them.

The_outdoor_guy Ready for that thunder storms. Juli 8th The physical support has been build. Now they are well equipped, in case those summerstorms are hitting. With two branches i was a lil too rough in stretching them out, they broke, so I had to fix them again. Really stupid. Pretty optimistic that they grow back fine, though. For my one follower, thanks for hanging around! ๐Ÿ˜Š I will update in 3 weeks again, cause I will be a bit busy in the next weeks๐Ÿ™

The_outdoor_guy Short update: 19th of juli Week 17 of veg. Everything looks real good. Growth is steady. Plants looking healthy, loving life. I added some "brenesseljauche", a german secret haha. Basically selfmade liquid organic fertilzer, packed with nitrogen. Real easy to make! Let me know if someone wants to know how that is done. Now its even more crazy to see how diffrent the structure of the 2 plants is. Its interesting, they look like they are 2 diffrent strains, but they arnt. The first one very broad, tall, laxly branched typical sativa genes. The second a bit more short and denser growth. But both impressive growth already! And since my last post my follower number has doubled hahah๐Ÿ’ช Now I have 2 followers๐ŸŽŠ. Thank you guys for sticking around! ๐Ÿ˜Š Next update in 2 weeks ๐Ÿ™

The_outdoor_guy Hello my 2 followers. And hello to the new one haha. Sorry for the late update! The last weeks were quite busy. But yes the 2 beauties keep doing there thing. Growing everyday, its always a pleasure to look at them. But now they grow more in body not in height, cause i topped them 4 weeks ago another time. They get 15 liters of water every day. But I maybe have to tone it down the next weeks, cause our 10meter deep well is barely recharging cause it is dry as fucking fuck in Germany. It takes 2 days so that 30cm fill up at the bottom. This summer is really the driest that i can remember of. All the gras in our garden is already dead. Its crazy! Maybe i have to use tap-water for my plants at some point. Anyway the plants got treated with the best organic fertilizer, that one that you cant buy anywhere, cause it is so limited edition, that fertilizer that would ruin the fertilizer companies if more ppl would know about it, cause its free: compost and "brennessel-jauche". ๐Ÿ˜‚ The plants just love it! But now I think I have to add some more for #2 cause it shows some nitrogen defficiency in the old big leaves, you can see it in the videos. Tmr they will get some long awaited compost-tea treatment, and maybe some spraying with lactic-acid-bacteria to clean them from anything unwanted๐Ÿ™ The calendula are doing a good job in keeping unwanted bugs away. And the plants are doing a good job in looking pretty๐Ÿ™ƒ See you in the next week! I m able to update now more regularly ๐Ÿ’ช Thank you guys for sticking around ๐Ÿ˜Š

The_outdoor_guy "Bugs and birds" + "organic wellness retreat" august 17th. Lots of stuff going on this week ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ช We had a beautiful visitor, a mettalic green shining beetle aka "rose chaver", Rosenkรคfer. So pretty to look at!! Then having some issues with birds, that are a bit too comfortable on the cage. They basically shit on the plants, that can really be an issue in flower. For now I had this shiny wind twisters. But they dont help. So I sadly have to make use of my shotgun ๐Ÿ˜‘. Just kidding! I will get a fake Crow to scare them away.. ๐Ÿ™ In the night I have my personal special force squad (aka spider squad) taking out those unwanted bugs. I even got one nice picture of it! And then the 2 sisters got a full on crazy organic Wellness treatment. This treatment that basically sends you into a new dimension moaning. I removed some branches and leafes for airflow. Then they got more "brenesseljauche" and compost and sprayed that with compost tea. I over did it a bit... haha some leave tips had nitrogen burn haha๐Ÿ˜ฌ Then sprayed the plants completly with neemoil to kill all bugs and aphids, even though there are almost none this year๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’ช Then sprayed them with LAB Lactic Acid Bacteria so any dirt and insects remaining gets metabolised by the bacteria. And finally added some organic PK "bloom fertiliser" with some phosphate compost tea to finish them off!๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™ Now they r ready for anything ๐Ÿ’ช! Ah yes and they started flowering like 3 days ago! So everything perfectly in the schedule! Man i m excited! they are looking brutally healthy this year! Cant wait for the next weeks!!

The_outdoor_guy "2 new guests" 24th of August The plants keep growing, looking good very healthy! I defoliated every day a lil bit, some leafes here some small branches there. I sprayed them again with lactic acid bacteria. They looking gorgeos! And i got 2 new much a priciated grow members. I bought two black scare crows for the birds. The mirror thingys were not working. And now with the plants in flower the birds shitting everywhere really got me worried. The scare crows really doing a good job. I have to move them every 2 days otherwise the birds realise they r fake. But they really solved the problem. Me very relieved. Other than that i will water them with a selfmade posphate bacteria tea tmr. They really enjoy that! And the weather got super cold in the last days, down to 8 degrees in the night. It feels like autumn already ๐Ÿ˜‘. See you in the next one guys ๐Ÿ™

The_outdoor_guy 3rd of September "Beauty" Week 3 of Flower, and this 2 plants just keep looking more gorgeous with every Week. I thought they r not making progress at all, but then i realised its cause I visit them every day haha. I looked at the pictures of last week and i understood yes they do grow thicker indeed. Always look at progress on a longterm scale, on a short term scale its almost invisble. So poetic hahaha :D Alright, beside from that little discourse, I put some more mulch, and gave them another LAB (lactic acid bacteria) treatment. And they are both pushing towards the 2 meters, they r now 1,97m and 1,98m. It would be so awesome if they break the 2 meter barriere. Fingers crossed ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿคž. I m also excited, cause it looks like #1 is gonna be purple, OMfG I m not 100% sure, but it would be so frckn awesome. Cause I never had a purple one before! The weather is staying relativly cold, with a couple of rain periods, but that early in the flower, it wont be a problem. Tomorrow i will give them another round of organic "bio pk" from Bio Tabs and keep watering them. Its nice that its not so hot anymore, so its not a big deal if I forgot to water them one day or the other ๐Ÿ˜Š Alright my awesome 3 followers! See you all next week! 5 more weeks to go ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŽŠ We are approaching the finish line on the horizon hahah

The_outdoor_guy 9th of September. Trunks and Flowers. These Plants are teasing me guys! They are literally now 1,99m and 198m tall... I took a picture so you can see๐Ÿ˜‚ It would be awesome if they crack the 2 meters. But yeah sooner or later it will happen! The Buds are getting thicker every week. #1 is ahead by half to one week to the #2 its interesting. And probably both plants will have green buds. I thought #1 will be purple but I guess the glory/luck of having purple flowers is still something that a future grow will conquer๐Ÿ’ชthere is always something to look forward to ๐Ÿ™ And I had the first mold scares this week, its a bit early but all under control. One bud had budrot, 100% a dead bug or some bug-shit. I cutted it out immediately. And some tiny small leafs had some meldew :/.I also took care of that๐Ÿ’ช. Because of the mildew this early is worrying me a bit, I ordered online the organic certified navy seal special forces for this kind of stuff aka "Bacillus subtilis". Its a naturally occurring soil bacteria, that you can apply as a foliage-spray mainly on the leafs and superficially on the buds, when they are not too big. They dont destroy the spores of the mildew but these MFs starve any kind of fungi so it doesn't grow. The product is called "Serena ASO". They also use it for organic Strawberries, tomatoes, cucumber... I couldnt find anything similar in a grow shop. We will see how effective this will be. Its the first year i m trying this๐Ÿ’ช Other than that i m brewing some mean as compost tea with amounts of phosphate bacteria going through the roof for the healthiest soil ecosystem the world has ever seen haha. And I will also add some more Bio PK as fertiliser. Alright guys thats it for this week! I m super happy my follower number more than doubled from last week. I m glad you guys enjoy my little Garden project as much as I do! ๐ŸŽŠ See ya next week!๐Ÿ’ช
