12/2 - 15th week of flower is here. I have made the executive decision that this is going to be the last week for the Chinook Haze. I look at the pistils, and the way the lower buds look, and think she is about done. The pic of a lower bud shows like 90% red pistils. I am pretty sure that growing up to about 12" from the light has caused her to foxtail and continue to spit out new growth, or something similar causing the top to not look finished. She was watered 2 days ago, I will likely chop in 3-5 days, letting her dry out as much as possible before chopping.
12/6 - She was chopped down today, day 103 of flower, after ~24 hours of darkness. Will update with the harvest information later after she has had some time to dry.
I found your journal because I was hoping to compare where I am at with my Chinook Haze grow. Its my third ever grow, and my second time growing Chinook Haze (from clones I cut last grow). Im day 37 Flower and theyre almost 6' tall in their 5gallon pots! Maybe you'll be happy you took the extra weeks to manifold... I will say, even though you said you wouldnt run back to doing it again, youve actually inspired me to start a new strain from seed and grow this way. Seeing your journal day-to-day made it so much clearer on what moves are necessary to end up with what you have now. Beautiful job man!
@majorlookboston, I do got to say, into the 7th week of flower, she has basically tripled in height. Flipped to flower at 10" and the tallest cola is now 29".
@buddha61, your photo-a-day journal really got to me, so I just uploaded all the saved pics I had from this chinook haze / purple lambo grow from my instagram story archive, and am going to start posting a daily pic like you are. Check it out if you want to see where my chinook haze is at
@majorlookboston, Appreciate the kind words. I don't think it is so much that I dislike the method, but the fact that I waited a bit extra each topping time, to try to take some clones (mine failed, friend got some), so it was a long process. If I had multiple tents, where I could veg in one, and just flower the manifolded plants, I think it would be better. Time will tell when it comes to harvest to see how well they turn out.
@Wachsemilian, Thanks, we are moving along, though there was the start of showing some deficiency before transplant, I think everything will work out fine now that it is in new soil.
@Wachsemilian, Sadly, it looks like both Haze might be males, one has been removed, the other preflowers almost look like they have little hairs, but I am not certain just yet.
