El-Ecko Here’s my second report.
I decided to go with the “Frostbanger Auto F4” and hope I got the dark phenotype.
I germinated the seeds in a peat plug, which I transferred to a 15L fabric pot immediately after germination.
For this grow, I’ve chosen the “Sonnenerde” living soil.🌞
Immediately after germination, it will be placed outdoors on my balcony (southeast-facing).
And it will stay there.
On cold nights, I’ll cover it a bit.
Otherwise, it will remain exposed to all weather
Wish me luck 😆
Day 1 Germination
The seed was placed in cold water for about 40 hours and covered. 💧
Day 2 Germination
💦🌊
Day 3 Germination.
The seed has sprouted and was planted in the peat plug.... and now it’s time to wait. ⏱️
Day 4 Germination
⏱️
Day 5 Germination
Things were already happening early in the morning, and the Frostbanger popped out of the coconut coir🌱.
😀
Day 6 Germination
Today, the fresh seedling was planted in the living soil. To prevent the fresh roots from getting burned by the “harsh” soil, I filled a larger pot with soil that’s lower in nutrients. (approx. 500 ml Tks 2).
Then I placed the little one, along with a cover, on the balcony. 🌞🌱
Day 7 Germination
Conclusion:
I can’t really say much. Just that it worked absolutely wonderfully.
Germination went quickly and without any problems.
I’m curious to see how the 🌱 does over the next few cold days here in the Sauerland

...oh man, what a week.🤧.
On Monday, the weather was still halfway decent.
But what followed was just classic “Sauerland weather.” It was cold and rainy. I have to admit I moved the plants back inside onto the windowsill for a few more nights. I hope the next few days will be much better. Otherwise, this is starting to feel like a full-time job.😆 Saturday was finally a ray of hope. And the little ones🌱 could finally soak up some sun again.
Conclusion: Growth looks stable, but you can tell the plant is lacking warmth and light. But that’s just how it is, and I’m sure it can only get better.
One of the first serrated leaves is slightly deformed, but I don’t think it’s a problem.

El-Ecko Week 2: VEGETATION
There isn't really much to report this week.
The little Frostbanger is growing slowly but surely.
The leaves look a bit deformed. Probably because of the nutrient-rich soil.🤔
But I'm not really worried about it. By the end of the week, it should have adjusted to the soil's nutrient content... at least that’s my hope. On the last day of this week, I sowed garden cress to create a protective layer for the living soil, and the clippings will serve as a mulch layer. At least that’s the plan. And another positive note: the weather forecast is slowly looking better 🌻☀️

I’m absolutely thrilled with how things are going.
It has a rich, lush green color.🌱🌿
The cress I used as a mulch layer has grown beautifully and still looks really nice.😍
It handles full sun more than just fine... and the little Frostbanger seems to have adapted very well to the nutrient content of the Living Soil.

El-Ecko Week 4 of Vegetation
It was a wonderful, sunny week.☀️
And the Frostbanger really enjoyed it to the fullest. I didn’t add any extra nutrients. I don’t have any experience with this, but I think the Sonnenerde hemp soil works very well in terms of its composition. It also retains moisture extremely well.
Unfortunately, the coming week will be a bit cold and wet, and temperatures will drop below 10 degrees again at night.
I’m still looking forward to seeing how it develops.🔝?

El-Ecko Week 5: Vegetative Growth
Not much has happened this week, but it’s growing steadily and has turned a beautiful, rich green🌱.
Since the sun only shines on my balcony until 2 p.m., it’s all the more tragic that it isn’t shining at all right now. 😅 It shouldn’t be long before it enters the flowering phase and hopefully takes a big step forward.🌸⬆️
Two leaves are deformed… and look very interesting 😁.
