Germination

TrichoJordan13 Week 1/germination. Been running this every year for a while and the stock can no longer be replaced. As a result, the goal has been to find a keeper to pollinate with a cross we have because I really want to keep the profile around and our donor smells exactly like it. Its been 3 years of hunting this off and on but this journal will highlight the process and outcome this round. To start we soaked 3 seeds in RO for approximately 10 hours then switched to the paper towel method. 100% germination rate in 36 hours or less. Placed the seeds into rockwool under a dome for 24 hrs then switched to open air as the rH is is teetering around 65% or so. I had planned to run them all in DWC but cant locate a 27 gal tote we use for two plants at a time. So I will either run two in coco and 1 in dwc or run 2 in DWC and one in coco. I havent decided yet. One is already growing weird so it may be culled. I'll give them a few more days before placing them in the medium they are to go to. Updates to come.

TrichoJordan13 Some minor growing pains in the beginning but they are getting acclimated. I culled the weird seedlings after placing it in coco after examination. Will continue on with an ultra light feeding here. Roots for the first plant have just reached outside of the net pot and will likely be in the res this week.

TrichoJordan13 First week feeding. Was going to change res out but opted to just add a gallon of feed per res to take things more slowly bringing total EC for both at about .6. Plants were getting low on N and showing minor signs of Ca def but are coming around. Did minor LST on plant 1 using an LST clip. Hoping to get clones from plant 1 in the next two weeks depending on rate of growth.

TrichoJordan13 Plants are growing ridiculously fast and drinking quickly at this point. Took 4 clones from the first plant, 3 from the second and flipped to flower a few days ago. Forgot to take pictures of second plant though so hoping to update images etc now that we are onto the first week of flower. Feeding at 1 EC. Smell is becoming very strong and the first plant has huge fan leaves which were removed to make space for LST. The clips have had to be removed and readjusted every 24 to 48 hours so will forgoe those and switch to coated garden wire for control. Looking forward to working on this canopy

TrichoJordan13 Plants have shown a little excess N and some minor Ca issues likely attributed to neglect and pH drift. Hoping to dial them in a little better now that some priorities were addressed. Overall theyre doing really well for just a 3 week veg before flip. Roots are extremely clean on Cropsalt. The LST has also slowed down vertical growth and plants are slowly starting to align to fit the small space theyre in. Clones have rooted from each plant as well this week so hoping to see what the outcome of the mothers are as we go forward. The burnt rubber and cream profile is already beginning to roll off of these plants. Looking forward to their outcome.
