Joni2017 # PROJECT RESURRECTION: Sour Stomper (2018 Award-Winning Relic)
Hello GrowDiaries family! Itās a pleasure to be back. This isnāt your average grow journal; itās a journey through time.
š A Legend-Driven Change of Plans
Although my initial intention was to grow *Cream Caramel*, fate intervened. Tucked away in the back of my fridge, inside a sealed metal box protected by silica gel packs to control humidity, I found a treasure: an original pack of **Sour Stomper** by Mephisto Genetics.
These seeds were the official prize from the **"Diary of the Month - July 2018."** They have been preserved for **8 long years**. Today, in 2026, weāre going to see if this champion still has the fire needed to dominate the tent. The holographic authenticity seal is still intact!
š THE GENETICS: Sour Stomper (The Soul of Mephisto)
To understand this diary, you have to understand what **Sour Stomper** is. Itās the crown jewel of the *Artisanal Line*, a project that took years of breeding (F5).
-The Cross: Born from an elite collaboration, crossing a **Grape Stomper OG** (famed for its pure grape flavor) with a **Sour Crack** (Mephisto's fastest and most resinous auto).
-Yield & Size: A medium-sized plant (**60-90 cm**) with a highly branched structure. This isn't a "one-main-cola" plant; it produces multiple side branches that end up loaded with flowers.
-Aroma & Flavor: A complex profile. At first, it smells like **fermented red grapes** and sweet wine, but towards the end of the cycle, a touch of **gasoline and chemical funk** appears that will blow your mind.
-Effect: Boasting **22% THC**, it offers a balanced experience. An initial euphoric and creative "punch" that transforms into a physical relaxation, leaving you with a permanent smile.
šŗ THE CRADLE: Canna Terra Professional
Many of you ask why I use this substrate. If you've never tried it, hereās the breakdown:
Canna Terra Professional is top-tier medium. Itās a technical blend of black peat, high-quality moss peat, and perlite.
-How does it work?: Its secret is **oxygenation**. Cannabis roots are like us: they need to breathe. This substrate is so fluffy that roots expand at an incredible speed.
-Benefit: It prevents waterlogging, which avoids root asphyxiationāthe number one enemy of autoflowering plants.
"LIVING SOIL" (BioTabs: Substrate Magic)
For this grow, I wanted to "bring the soil to life" using the **BioTabs** range. Hereās what these products do for those unfamiliar with them:
-Startex (Conditioner): Think of it as "breakfast" for your substrate. Itās an organic fertilizer that improves soil structure and gives the seedling just the right amount of nitrogen to start strong.
-Microtrex (Mycorrhizae): This is the most important product. These are beneficial fungi that attach themselves to the roots.
-How it works: The fungus and the root become "best friends." The fungus seeks out food and water in corners of the pot where the root can't reach and delivers it to the plant. In exchange, the plant gives it a bit of sugar. **Result:** A root system 10 times larger and stronger.
š§ 100% ORGANIC DIET: Biobizz Pack
To feed this relic, weāre sticking with the **Biobizz** tradition, a brand based on respecting the original flavor.
-Philosophy: Instead of using chemical salts that can stress an "old" plant, Biobizz uses beet vinasse and organic extracts.
-Interaction: Biobizz fertilizers feed the microorganisms we introduced with BioTabs. Itās a perfect cycle: we feed the soil, and the soil feeds the plant. This guarantees a clean flavor and perfect **white ash**.
š GERMINATION STRATEGY & LUNAR CYCLE
With an 8-year-old seed, science and nature must go hand in hand:
-Waxing Moon: We germinated seeking the upward "push" of the sap.
-Hydration: 24h in water with **$H_2O_2$** (Hydrogen Peroxide) to disinfect and wake up the embryo.
Get on board for this journey through time! Letās see if the 2018 **Sour Stomper** reclaims her crown. šæš„š

Joni2017 š± WEEK 1: Early Vegetative ā The Awakening of a Champion šš
š Welcome to the first official week of growth! After breaking through the soil, this 8-year-old Sour Stomper relic šŗ is showing a level of genetic vigor šŖ that absolutely defies its age.
šø Looking at the daily progression in my gallery, the transformation from a tiny sprout š± to a fully established seedling has been incredibly fast ā” and seamless.
š ENVIRONMENTAL PARAMETERS & LIGHTING š”š”ļø
⨠This week was all about dialing in the perfect microclimate and lighting to ensure zero stress š”ļø and a compact structure during her first days.
ā° Light Schedule: 18 Hours On / 6 Hours Off āļøš
š” Lamp Distance: 68 cm š (Strategically set to prevent stretching š)
š”ļø Day Temperature: 27.0°C ā 28.0°C š„ (Perfect VPD range for early vegetative stage)
āļø Night Temperature: 22.0°C š (A smooth 5°C drop to allow metabolic rest)
š§ Relative Humidity (RH): 80% constant āļø
š§ FEEDING & WATERING LOG šæ
Nutrients Added: None (0.0 ml/L) ā
š° Water Type: Pure water, un-amended š (just a minimal amount around the base when needed šÆ).
šÆ Strategy: During this first week in the starter pot, I have applied absolutely nothing š«. No root stimulants, no grow fertilizers. At this stage, the cotyledons š and the initial reserves of the starter medium contain everything the seedling needs. Keeping the root zone un-flooded šļø forces the taproot š„ to actively search for moisture, laying down a solid foundation šļø before the big transplant.
š WEEKLY OBSERVATIONS & PROGRESS šµļøāāļøš
š± Days 1ā3: The seedling shed its shell effortlessly š„ and opened its cotyledons. Thanks to placing the lamp at a distance of 68 cm š, the stem grew straight, short, and strong without showing any signs of stretching š„¦.
šæ Days 4ā7: The first pair of true serrated leaves exploded in size š„, followed immediately by the second node emerging from the center šÆ. The photon intensity ā” at that height has been key to maintaining a very compact internodal spacing.
? Health Check: The leaf color is a vibrant, uniform emerald green š. The high humidity (80%) āļø has been a blessing, preventing excessive transpiration and keeping the leaves completely lush and stress-free āØ.
š The roots have successfully colonized this starter pot š. She is officially ready to move into her permanent 11-liter home šÆ with the BioTabs living soil and Orgatrex mix .
š Time to step up our game! šæš„š

šµ SPECIAL TECHNIQUES: SOUND BIO-HACKING (528Hz) š§āāļøš
This week, we formally launched our plant sound protocol: **30 minutes of daily exposure to a 528Hz Pure Tone**, played precisely at the moment the lights turn off š¤«š. Here is the pure science behind agricultural **Sonoculture**:
- Cellular Mechanical Stimulation:** Plants lack ears, but they are loaded with **mechanoreceptors** (cellular sensors that detect acoustic vibrations). The exact vibration of 528Hz acts as a micro-cellular massage, accelerating cytoplasmic streaming and significantly improving internal nutrient mobility š.
-š Stomata Regulation:** Acoustic waves within this specific range stimulate optimal opening of the stomata (the breathing leaf pores), boosting gas exchange and transpiration efficiency right before entering the dark phase š¬ļø.
-š”ļø Cellular Anti-Stress Shield:** Widely recognized for its cell-repairing capabilities, this tone helps the seedling bypass *transplant shock* seamlessly, reinforcing its cellular immune system š.
š WEEKLY OBSERVATIONS & PROGRESS šµļøāāļøš
-š± Transplant Response:** Mind-blowing! The plant didn't droop for even a single second after the pot change. Her **6 cm frame** stands firm, and the root mass is already actively exploring the fresh 11L Living Soil.
-šæ Internodal Spacing:** By locking the lamp distance at **64 cm** š, the canopy has stayed beautifully close to the ground. The new vegetative nodes are stacking tightly from the center, forging the perfect bushy profile we want.
-? Overall Health Check:** Uniform and incredibly glossy emerald green color š. The leaves display flawless turgor and are actively "praying" towards the light with their tips pointed straight upāa definitive sign that she is processing her environment at 100%.
š **Weekly Conclusion:** The transplant was a textbook success. With the BioTabs living soil system activated, the light footprint calibrated, and the daily 528Hz sound therapy running, the blueprint for an invincible structure is fully set.
