RooftopFarmer Week 1 – Banana Guava (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026):
Welcome to my diary. 😊 This summer I will grow the new Strain Banana Guava. It is a cross between Guava Auto RF3 by Fast Buds and Banana Jealousy Auto (Banana Jealousy x Banana Daddy Auto) by Ethos Genetics.
I direct seeded into 15L pots with BioBizz All-Mix, 1 cm deep, no pre-soaking. Popped after 5 days and the seedling removed the shell itself, so a clean and healthy start.
Spent most of the first week on a bright windowsill. From day 6 I began hardening off outdoors with increasing sun hours. Conditions were very good: sunny days with some clouds. Nights are still too cold, so the little one moves back inside every evening.
No major issues this week. Nice growth so far
😊 Update will follow

RooftopFarmer Week 2 – Banana Guava (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026)
She’s doing great! The little lady is sitting at a steady ~2 cm tall with a nice, vibrant green color and healthy-looking leaves. Overall, I’m really happy with how the Week went.
I started hardening her off outdoors from day 7, gradually increasing her sun exposure. We’ve had excellent conditions so far with bright sunny days mixed with some light clouds. Nights are still quite cold though, so she comes back inside every evening for now.
No major issues at all this week. Steady growth, no stretching, no deficiencies, and she seems to be enjoying the fresh air. Looking forward to watching her take off once the nights warm up a bit more. :)
Any experienced outdoor growers have tips for this early hardening-off phase? Especially curious about when to stop bringing her in at night and if I should start any light feeding soon? :)

RooftopFarmer Banana Guava – Week 3 (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026) ☀️
Perfect outdoor weather this week! She has been outside non-stop and you can really see her responding well to the natural conditions.
It got pretty windy at times, so I reinforced the base with some extra soil to keep her stable. She’s now about 5 cm tall with a beautiful, bright green color and strong-looking leaves. Really pleased with how she’s growing.

RooftopFarmer Banana Guava – Week 4 (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026)
Another week of great weather, which means Banana Guava is now living outside full-time, even through the nights. She’s getting as much direct sun as possible and responding beautifully.
I added some simple sticks to support the stem and keep her stable (still looking for an improved solution). She’s sitting at around 7 cm tall with a lovely, deep green color.
I also fed her lightly with BioBizz Fish-Mix and BioBizz Calmag. I’m staying ahead of any CaMg deficiencies this year after last season’s issues.

RooftopFarmer Banana Guava – Week 5 (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026)
Excellent weather continues, so Banana Guava is receiving maximum sunshine and consistent feeding. She’s thriving outdoors under these ideal conditions.
This week I got better sticks for support and secured her nicely. She’s now well over 15 cm tall with a gorgeous, deep green color and strong-looking leaves.
