Sejanus21 # OUTDOOR 2026 | Week 1 — Seedling Stage
**Day count:** 11 days since germination (May 6)
**Date:** May 17, 2026
**Environment:** Basement under SanLight EVO 3-80, 18h photoperiod · 22°C avg · 62% RH · gentle fan running continuously
---
## ENVIRONMENT & CARE
The seedlings spent the entire week in the basement. Outdoor temperatures dropped to 8–9°C mid-week — far too cold for this stage — so the plan to transition them to the greenhouse was postponed. No regrets: the controlled basement environment delivered consistent warmth and light, and the results speak for themselves.
Watering: approximately every three days, 100–200ml per pot depending on plant size. No fertilizer additions beyond the Multicote 6M slow-release depot already incorporated into the substrate. Occasional Fulvital Plus Liquid remains the only option at this stage if a gentle push is needed.
---
## PLANT-BY-PLANT ASSESSMENT (Day 13)
**Mendocino Skunk** — *Group leader*
The standout of the week. Second true leaf pair well developed, broad five-fingered leaves, strong stem. Clearly ahead of the pack and showing exactly the vigorous, compact growth the Skunk × White Widow × Critical 2 lineage promises. The Tommy Chong Edition appears to be more than marketing.
**CBDRelax** — *Close second*
Second true leaf pair unfolding, rich dark green colour. Keeping pace with Mendocino Skunk and confirming the solid performance already known from the indoor winter grow 2025/26. The indica-dominant structure is showing in the broad leaf shape.
**Mellowz** (Compound Genetics, Spritzer × Grape Gas) — *On track*
First true leaf pair fully developed, second emerging. Solid, healthy-looking growth for a first-time outdoor Compound Genetics plant at 51°N. The Spritzer lineage tends toward vigorous veg — so far confirmed.
**Runtz Carlton** (Compound Genetics, White Runtz × Eye Candy) — *Pleasantly surprised*
Was the most compact at transplant; has caught up well. First true leaf pair fully developed, symmetric and clean. A good sign for a strain that will need all the veg time it can get before the season turns.
**Tropical Fruit Cake** — *Resilient*
Smaller than the others but stable, green, and clearly developing its first true leaf pair. Considering this seedling lost its seed shell and part of its taproot during transfer to the Jiffy, the recovery is impressive. Strong genetics from a brand-new Paradise Seeds variety.
**CBDelight** — *Recovering as expected*
Smallest of the group, with a structural handicap from the Jiffy detaching at transplant. However: first true leaf pair now visible, stem stabilising. This strain delivered nearly 200g outdoor last season — the slow start is circumstantial, not genetic. No concern at this point.
---
## WEEK HIGHLIGHT
Six seeds. Six plants. Zero casualties — including one with a broken taproot and one with a detached Jiffy. The germination rate and early seedling resilience confirm why Paradise Seeds is a premium genetics supplier. The two Compound Genetics strains (Mellowz, Runtz Carlton) also showed clean, problem-free germination on their first outing.
---
## WHAT'S NEXT
Outdoor temperatures are forecast to improve next week. The plan is to begin gradual hardening — short daytime sessions in the greenhouse — once nights stay reliably above 12°C. Final container transplant (12.5L and 20L Airpots, Mendocino Skunk into the garden bed under the quince tree) follows once the plants have filled the 1L Airpots sufficiently.

Sejanus21 # OUTDOOR 2026 | Week 2 — Early Veg & Hardening Begins
**Day count:** 18 days since germination (May 6)
**Date:** May 24, 2026
**Environment (week avg):** Basement · 22°C · 66% RH · SanLight EVO 3-80 · gentle fan
**Since May 23:** Daytime hardening sessions in greenhouse (30°C outdoor temps)
---
## ENVIRONMENT & CARE
The seedlings spent most of the week in the basement under the SanLight EVO 3-80. Yesterday the hardening phase began: plants move to the greenhouse during the day and return to the basement at night. With outdoor temperatures hitting 30°C, no complaints on that front.
Watering: every three days until May 23, then daily as the greenhouse heat demands it. No fertilizer beyond occasional Fulvital Plus liquid. The Multicote 6M slow-release depot in the substrate continues to provide background nutrition.
---
## PLANT-BY-PLANT (Day 18)
**Mendocino Skunk** — Dominant. Seven-fingered leaves, strong main stem, clearly the largest plant in the group. Ready for the final container as soon as conditions allow.
**CBDRelax** — Excellent. Third true leaf pair fully open, broad and dark green. Running close behind Mendocino Skunk and exactly on form for a strain that already proved itself in the indoor winter grow.
**Tropical Fruit Cake** — Surprise of the week. Has caught up significantly; narrow sativa-type fingers, second/third leaf pair visible. Elegant growth habit for a new Paradise Seeds variety.
**Runtz Carlton** — Solid. Compact and symmetric, second leaf pair well developed.
**Mellowz** — Characteristically wide and flat growth pattern, consistent with the Spritzer lineage. First leaf pair broad, second developing.
**CBDelight** — Has almost fully closed the gap left by the Jiffy incident at transplant. First and second leaf pair now present, stem stable. No further concern — this strain delivered close to 200g outdoor last season and the genetics know what they're doing.
---
## WEEK HIGHLIGHT
The jump in growth between Day 11 and Day 18 was striking across the board. The combination of consistent basement conditions and — crucially — no overwatering or premature fertilization seems to be paying off. The Multicote depot does its job quietly in the background.
First impressions of the Compound Genetics strains outdoors at 51°N: both Mellowz and Runtz Carlton are developing cleanly. The real test comes in late summer.
---
## WHAT'S NEXT
Final container transplant approaching — Mendocino Skunk first, directly into the garden bed under the quince tree. The remaining five follow into their Airpots (20L for the CBD strains, 12.5L for the THC strains) once the 1L pots are sufficiently rooted. Active fertilization begins with the final transplant.

Sejanus21 # OUTDOOR 2026 | Week 3 — Veg in Full Swing
**Day count:** 25 days since germination (May 6)
**Date:** May 31, 2026
**Environment:** Greenhouse full-time all week · 22°C avg · 12°C min (night) / 31°C max (day) · 63% RH
**Watering:** ~100ml ground water per plant per day · Fulvital Plus liquid added regularly
---
## ENVIRONMENT & CARE
First full week in the greenhouse. The temperature swings are significant — 12°C at night, up to 31°C during the day — but the plants handled it without complaint. No fertilizer beyond Fulvital Plus; the Multicote 6M slow-release depot and the pre-fertilized substrate continue to do the heavy lifting.
---
## PLANT-BY-PLANT (Day 25)
**Mendocino Skunk — 39cm** · Dominant. Strong stem, broad multi-fingered leaves, clearly a class above the rest in size. Ready for the garden bed. Topping above the 4th node planned imminently.
**CBDRelax — 25cm** · Upright, healthy stretch, good colour. Running second and developing exactly as expected from a strain already proven in the indoor winter grow.
**Mellowz — 24cm** · Wide and flat growth pattern, consistent with the Spritzer lineage. Dense canopy developing.
**Tropical Fruit Cake — 18cm** · Narrow sativa-type fingers, elegant structure. Still one of the most visually interesting plants in the group for a new variety.
**Runtz Carlton — 16cm** · Compact, symmetric, clean. Taking its time but building a solid structure.
**CBDelight — 13cm** · Smallest of the group, still carrying the deficit from the Jiffy incident at transplant. Developing cleanly and closing the gap gradually. No concern — this strain knows what it's doing.
---
## WHAT'S NEXT
Topping Mendocino Skunk above the 4th node this week, then transplanting all remaining plants into their final containers on Thursday: 20L Airpots for CBDelight and CBDRelax, 12.5L Airpots for Mellowz, Runtz Carlton and Tropical Fruit Cake. Mendocino Skunk goes directly into the garden bed under the quince tree. Active fertilization begins with the final transplant.

Sejanus21 # OUTDOOR 2026 | Week 4 — Final Transplant & First Month Complete
**Day count:** 32 days since germination (May 6)
**Date:** June 7, 2026
**Environment (week avg):** Greenhouse · 17°C avg · 10°C min / 28°C max · 84% RH
**CBDRelax:** outdoors under canopy since June 6
---
## ENVIRONMENT & CARE
A week of transitions. All plants spent most of the week in the greenhouse, with CBDRelax moving permanently outdoors under a covered canopy on June 6 — the first plant to leave the protected environment for good.
Watering: tap water with Fulvital Plus Liquid throughout. Dynomyco Spark applied at transplant. No active fertilizer program yet — the Multicote 6M slow-release depot in the final substrate handles background nutrition for now. Full fertilization starts next week.
---
## FINAL TRANSPLANT COMPLETE
The last transplants happened June 5–6. All plants are now in their final containers:
- **CBDelight + CBDRelax** → 20L Airpots
- **Mellowz + Runtz Carlton + TFC** → 12.5L Airpots
- **Mendocino Skunk** → 12.5L Airpot (intermediate; garden bed under quince tree to follow once slug protection is in place)
Roots were well air-pruned in the 1L Airpots — exactly what the system is designed for.
---
## PLANT-BY-PLANT (Day 32)
**Mendocino Skunk — 37cm** · Topped above node 4 on June 1. The slug that attacked the fresh cut damaged one of the two shoots at the topping site — it remains uncertain whether it will fully develop. The two shoots from the node below are growing well, so a minimum of three strong colas is the realistic expectation. A fourth is possible if the compromised top shoot recovers.
**Mellowz — 35cm** · Wide, lush, characteristic Spritzer growth pattern. The largest untopped plant in the group.
**CBDRelax — 31cm** · Strong multi-node development, healthy and vigorous. First plant permanently outdoors.
**TFC — 30cm** · Slim, upright, narrow sativa-type leaves. Developing elegantly for a new variety.
**Runtz Carlton — 25cm** · Compact with good node structure. Taking its time but building a solid base.
**CBDelight — 19cm** · Still the smallest, still carrying the deficit from the Jiffy detachment at transplant. Developing steadily — no concern. The 20L container gives it plenty of room to close the gap.
---
## WEEK HIGHLIGHT
Month one complete. 6/6 germination, 6/6 plants in final containers, first outdoor placement. The only unplanned event was the slug attack on Mendocino Skunk post-topping — manageable and partially resolved.
---
## WHAT'S NEXT
Topping CBDRelax, Mellowz, TFC and Runtz Carlton on Tuesday or Wednesday. CBDelight depending on status. Active fertilization begins: Plagron Alga Grow as base, Calcinit and Fulvital Plus as supplements. Mendocino Skunk into the garden bed once slug protection (Ferramol) is secured around the planting area.
