jellyjelly Pretty fat seeds - germinated seemingly eagerly too! Everything looking as expected for germination week. Hoping one of these two plants is female!

jellyjelly Mistakes were made :( For some reason I neglected how LITTLE moisture these seedlings actually need. I think they have been severely stunted by overwatering conditions. Very slow growth and some leaf discoloration - began to grow a bit again after a moisture drawback! I’ll try to be more cyclical in my watering moving forward - yikes!

jellyjelly It’s been a while!! The plants have since been transplanted to a 1 Gal pot and have been topped (likely prematurely) after photos were taken Growth is a bit slow on these but slowly but surely we’re making progress. Trying my best to water cyclically! 💪🏼

jellyjelly Welp - I encountered watering issues again. The plants weren’t being deeply watered and I was perceiving the pots as heavy. One (female) was transplanted (5Gal pot) in hopes of making it recover better.. one’s thriving more than the other, and of course the unhealthier one was identified as Female 😭.. the healthy one remains unsexable for now. Making a comeback though! Also silly me, I forget I have a light meter, this helped me further dial my PPFD, which was a bit on the lower end for mid-veg

jellyjelly Slowly but surely these two are recovering from the stunted growth due to poor watering conditions. Both have responded great to transplanting! For one, it is incredibly clear that it’s a female while the other remains ambiguous to leaning towards male. Unfortunately the male is the healthier one; I’ll likely cull this one once it’s even more clear. Thinking of sending to flower in about two weeks

jellyjelly Sadly, only one of these plants ended up being female. However it looks like we’re back on track to healthier growth in week one of stretch in flower. This girl is already giving off such promising, tropical guava like aromas. I’m looking forward to defoliating and lollipopopping this girl in the upcoming days.

jellyjelly Been a while! In the meantime, she received quite a defoliation as well as lollipopIng and a healthy dose of compost tea. The smells of this one truly are incredibly unique. Primary notes: guava, then citrusy forward. Secondary (base) notes: overwritpe fruit and less Warm dumpster Healthwise the plant is still continuing to struggle and seemingly to start fading quite early. Fortunately, it hasn’t stopped it from continuing to stack trichomes and expressing more complex, terpenes.

jellyjelly Sad sad sad - she’s killing herself. She’s been so stressed and lost so much of her canopy by aggressive defoliation and lollipopping. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE SMELL: Incredible tropical guava forward then slight funky warm fruit with dank ness at the end. It’s crazy She just gets water now and I will likely harvest early once the sugar leaves start to also dry and wilt. Shame - I was super stoked about this strain - Next time!!

jellyjelly Praise! She hasn’t totally killed herself! She still gets only water. Despite fan leaves and sugar leaves hurting bad, the flower is still developing normally - stigmas and pistils are browning now too The smell is insane and honestly I avoid it touching me at all or my clothes. It’s so terpy and sticky and hard to get off your fingers. The smell is the same tropical/guava forward funk however a GMO smell crept in totally, leaving a sort of onion/garlic after smell - gnarly!

jellyjelly Rough finish for this one 😭 I removed too much foliage during lollipopping/defoliation, and she never really recovered. The canopy senesced early and now the sugar leaves are starting to necrose too. The flowers are still resinous and the nose is incredible! tropical guava, warm funky fruit, then dank (slight gas) on the back end. I’m harvesting early after this update rather than risking dead tissue turning into botrytis inside the colas. Big lesson learned: leave more functional leaf mass through stretch and mid-flower. Next run, much lighter hand in trimming!
