CandyBud Hey green friends,
Welcome to week 1 of this experimental grow diary featuring the Dwarf XXL by Super Strains Seeds.
This strain is currently still in the testing phase and is expected to officially release in 2027. This grow will focus on observing how this experimental dwarf genetic performs compared to other dwarf varieties under identical environmental conditions.
Unfortunately I do not have photos from the germination process itself, but all seeds successfully germinated within 36 hours.
The current setup for this grow is:
Tent: 120x120x200cm
Light: Champions LED 720W
Light intensity: 40%
Lamp distance: 35cm
Schedule: 18/6
Day temperature: 25°C
Night temperature: 20°C
Humidity: 67%
Inline fan with carbon filter: 100mm
Air circulation: 2x 6-inch fans
The medium used is:
70% Plagron Light Mix and 30% Plagron Premium Coco.
Currently she receives:
400ml water daily together with Hy-Pro Root Stimulator.
Early observations:
The Dwarf XXL currently measures around 4cm in height and 3.5cm in width, making her the most vigorous seedling in this comparison during the first week.
Compared to the other dwarf genetics, she already shows stronger horizontal leaf development, a more open structure, and noticeably faster early growth. The influence of the Skunk mother genetics already appears visible in her vigor and overall seedling energy.
Despite the stronger growth, she currently remains healthy with no visible signs of stress or instability under the current environment.
I would also like to thank Super Strains Seeds, Hy-Pro, and everyone following this experimental grow journey.
I hope you enjoy this grow diary and I will see you next week with another update.
And remember:
the future is always green.

CandyBud Hey green friends,
Welcome back to week 2 of this experimental grow diary featuring the Dwarf XXL by Super Strains Seeds.
The Dwarf XXL has continued to live up to her name throughout the second week of growth. From the very beginning she displayed exceptional vigor compared to the other dwarf genetics in this comparison, and over the past seven days she has successfully maintained that advantage.
She currently measures approximately 23cm in width and 8cm in height, making her both the largest and tallest plant in the comparison at this stage. The most noticeable characteristic remains her strong horizontal development, creating a broad and vigorous canopy while still retaining the compact stature expected from a true dwarf variety.
The influence of her Skunk heritage appears increasingly visible as growth continues. The plant displays excellent vigor, strong leaf development, and an overall energetic growth pattern that immediately stands out when compared to the other genetics.
Water consumption has increased from approximately 400ml to around 600ml per day, reflecting the rapid expansion of both the root system and above-ground growth. She has responded exceptionally well to the current feeding program and continues to show healthy coloration, strong structure, and vigorous new growth throughout the canopy.
At this point she remains the growth leader of the comparison and will be fascinating to follow as this experimental genetic continues to develop.
I would like to thank Super Strains Seeds, Hy-Pro, and everyone following this experimental grow journey.
I hope you enjoyed this update and I will see you next week.
And remember:
the future is always green.

CandyBud Hey green friends,
Welcome back to week 3 of this experimental grow diary featuring the Dwarf XXL by Super Strains Seeds.
The Dwarf XXL has continued to impress throughout the past week and remains true to the vigorous growth pattern that has characterized her from the very beginning. While the other dwarf genetics are developing nicely, she continues to maintain her position as the largest plant in the comparison.
She currently measures approximately 29cm in width and 23cm in height. Over the last seven days she has expanded significantly, developing a broader canopy, stronger branching, and a noticeably thicker main stem. Despite the rapid growth, she continues to maintain the compact stature expected from a dwarf variety.
One of the most striking developments this week has been the overall structure of the plant. The branching is becoming increasingly pronounced, creating multiple growth points across the canopy while maintaining excellent balance and symmetry. The vigorous growth observed during the previous update has not only continued but appears to be accelerating.
The influence of her Skunk heritage remains visible through her strong growth, healthy foliage, and energetic overall appearance. The plant displays excellent vigor throughout the canopy and continues to stand out within the comparison.
Water consumption has increased dramatically during the past week. From approximately 600ml per day during the previous update, she is now consuming around 3.4 liters every two days. This substantial increase reflects the rapid development of both the root system and the above-ground growth that has taken place over the last week.
Another interesting development is the appearance of the first noticeable aroma. While still relatively mild, the plant has begun expressing her scent profile, adding another sign that she is continuing to mature rapidly.
At this stage she remains the growth leader of the comparison and has successfully maintained that position through another week of strong and healthy development. It will be fascinating to see how this experimental genetic continues to perform as the grow progresses.
I would like to thank Super Strains Seeds, Hy-Pro, and everyone following this experimental grow journey.
I hope you enjoyed this update and I will see you next week.
And remember:
the future is always green.

CandyBud Hey green friends,
Welcome back to another weekly update featuring the Dwarf XXL Auto.
Over the past week she has continued to demonstrate exactly why she carries the XXL name. She currently measures approximately 49cm in height and 55cm in width, making her the largest plant in this comparison grow and one of the most vigorous performers so far.
What stands out most is her impressive overall structure. The plant has developed a broad and evenly distributed canopy with multiple flowering sites spread throughout the entire plant. Her combination of vertical growth and strong lateral branching has created a very productive framework that should support significant flower development in the weeks ahead.
Flower development is now clearly underway. New pistils are appearing across all major tops and the transition into early flowering is progressing rapidly. The stretch phase is still active, allowing the flowering sites to separate nicely while maintaining an even canopy.
Another impressive characteristic is the strength of the plant's framework. Beneath the canopy, thick branches and a sturdy main stem have developed, providing excellent support for future bud production. The branch structure remains open enough to promote airflow while still maintaining a dense and productive profile.
Water consumption continues to increase as the plant expands and flower production accelerates. The root system appears highly active and is supporting vigorous growth throughout the entire canopy. Overall health remains excellent and the foliage continues to display a rich healthy color.
Although the Dwarf XXL remains compact compared to many traditional autoflowers, she continues to showcase remarkable vigor, structure, and growth potential. At this stage she combines size, strength, and flower development in a very impressive package.
Overall she remains healthy, vigorous, and full of potential. It will be very interesting to see how she develops as flowering progresses and the buds begin to stack.
I would like to thank Super Strains Seeds, Hy-Pro, and everyone following this journey.
I hope you enjoyed this update and I will see you next week.
