marcigrows It's been warmer for a few days now, and we were able to move outside.

marcigrows The week was hot and I think that growth has stagnated a bit because of it. Now it's getting a bit cooler, but also a bit cloudier. Let's see what happens…

marcigrows Über Woche 4 gibt es nicht viel zu berichten. Es war kalt und wolkig und über der Oberfläche hat sich nicht viel verändert. Mit der Rückkehr des Sommers und den ersten Sonnenstrahlen ging das Wachstum weiter. Hindu Kush ist nun 13 cm hoch, White Widow und Northern Lights bei 10 cm. Bis auf die Northern Lights zeigen die anderen drei die ersten Ansätze der Vorblüte.

marcigrows They are still growing, but they will stay small. (1) 24 cm (2) 15 cm (3) 28 cm (4) 22 cm. The cold in May probably took a toll on them. The Northern Lights is in pre-flowering, the others are happily blooming away :)

marcigrows The heatwave has hit us with temperatures up to 40 degrees. On top of that, there was a slight thrips infestation. Tomorrow, to be safe, I'll release lacewing larvae on the balcony. And still, they're growing: (1) White Widow: 27 cm, (2) Northern Lights: 27 cm, (3) Hindu Kush: 41 cm, (4) White Widow: 28 cm.

marcigrows The little ones keep blooming. White Widow at 31 and 33 cm, Northern Lights at 41 cm, and Hindu Kush at 47 cm. The second grow is on its way. This time with different soil and better pH control. The weather is also much better. Still, the growth is very low here as well. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?

marcigrows Small but fine. Except for the Northern Lights, all are heading towards harvest. The second grow isn't getting any bigger either, despite better pH value control and different soil... very strange.

marcigrows After the Hindu Kush was harvested over the weekend, the Widows will be up next in two to three days. The weather was mild and dry in week 11. Now it's supposed to get hot again, which isn't ideal for drying.

marcigrows Dry and mild weather in week 11. The trichomes on the Hindu Kush were slowly turning amber. That's why it was harvested this morning. The Widows will probably be next week. Northern Lights still need about two to three weeks.

marcigrows Only the Northern Lights is still left. It will probably be ready for harvest sometime this week.

marcigrows I harvested the first White Widow on July 29th, the second on August 2nd with a bit more amber-colored trichomes. The buds are very dense, sparkling, and super sticky.

marcigrows The last plant has been harvested. Northern Lights took a long time for the trichomes to mature, and then suddenly it went really fast. At a final height of 43 cm, it delivered fresh 22 grams (it'll be about 5 grams when dry). Until the end, even during drying, it hardly smells. Overall, I'm satisfied with my first grow. Everything went well from seed to harvest (even with strong temperature fluctuations, thrips, and very high heat). The only thing that concerns me is the low height. The drying in cardboard boxes worked great, although it went a bit too fast. It was still 23 degrees in the box, despite cooling. I'll check back in when the curing of all four plants is complete. The first three have been in Grove Bags for a while now, which apparently works really well.
