foulous Just started my first diary here on GrowDiaries. Picked up some Zkittlez Auto from The Seed Pharm. Germinated 5 out of 5 in under 36 hours really impressed. All seedlings are looking strong and healthy. Using soil and keeping things simple with an FC 1500 EVO light. Will update every week. Anyone else running Zkittlez Auto right now?

foulous Week 2 and the Zkittlez Auto from TSP are doing really well. All 5 seedlings have pushed through nicely and are starting to show their first true leaves. They’re looking healthy and growing at a steady pace. Still keeping things simple with soil and the FC 1500-EVO. No issues so far. Will keep updating weekly

@Tippo thanks mate, do you think the place where you buy the seeds actually makes that much difference, or is it just luck? cuz i tried Zkittlez before from another seed bank under pretty much the same conditions, but the results were pretty bad, weak plants and low yield

@foulous, Yeah, I'd say they are, autos from TSP seem pretty straightforward and forgiving, which makes them a solid choice when you're still learning the ropes.

@foulous, Really? In the BOGO Summer Grow Sale? Nicely done, the buy 1 take 1 promo really gives us higher yields

Nice start mate, if i can jus advise you with a little tip, with the fc1500-EVO in a 2X2, try to keep her around 40-50cm from the light in early veg so she doesn't stretch too much, and all i can say i assume ur a lucky man TSP germination is one of the best l've seen

I’m not even gonna wait to see how the germination goes, 5/5 is a win i guess I’m just gonna order directly from The Seed Pharm. I had a bad experience with Zkittlez from another bank last time, so I’m done messing around

@Will_jack, Fair enough. A bad experience can definitely make you want to switch things up. Hopefully this time around the experience is smoother, but I’d still wait and see how everything turns out before calling it a win.

Nice start bro, 5/5 germination that fast is always a good sign, curious to see how the Zkittlez Auto stacks up once flowering kicks in.

@Tippo, 5/5 is definitely a solid start. Interested to see how things turn out over the next few weeks and keep us updated on how they progress.

@Genta, I'm checking it, and I'm very much excited for the next update. The week 2: Vegetation looks lit as well

Have you tried switching your germination method (paper towel, solo cup, or pre-soak) to reduce issues? Any lessons from that Zkittlez run you’d avoid next time?

@foulous, , That’s a solid lesson and overwatering is probably the most common early-stage mistake. Letting the medium stay just slightly moist and not saturated really helps roots “hunt” and develop faster. And yes, that 24–26°C range is pretty much the sweet spot for germination and keeps metabolism active without stressing the seedling. Good catch on both.

foulous commented9d ago
@Genta, Yeah exactly, overwatering is probably the n1 killer of seedlings. Letting the medium dry back just a little forces the roots to search and grow stronger. I also noticed that keeping it right around 24-26°C really helps with consistent germination.

Genta commented8d ago
@foulous, Yeah, that balance is key and slight dry-back + stable warmth usually makes seedlings way more resilient.
