First attempt at a coco bed SOG with UGRO Coco/perlite mix at 70/40%. All clones from the same Black Berry OG mother.
Tub has 4 holes drilled for drainage with a 2" expanded clay pebble base, the coco/perlite mix is 8" thick.
Initial plans are to veg for 2-3 days then flip to 12/12.
Plants look strong and healthy. I have bumped up base nutrients by 0.3ml per litre. Still using the H&G Nitrogen Boost for this week only. Just because of work commitments and time constraints, I mix up 15 litre of nutrient solution to get me by for a couple days, checking pH and EC before each fertigation.
Smells started to come thru, buds forming up nicely. On another note, I am in the middle of a big change and eagerly waiting for this to be harvested so I can get into the change to 100% NoTill organic.
All round I can say that Coco SoG beds are really efficient for space and practicality, only downside is if you needed to move plants to be able to get to the others for a little defol. Going from such a short veg cycle, I can say this method can turn your crop over faster than you can blink (exagerations extreme LOL). I will be moving to NoTIll organic gardening, and don't think either the grow bed or the short veg would be viable with NoTill as its about building soil rather than growing a plant.
@BlackOpsGrow,
Thanks man, this is first time in Coco bed. I've usually SOG on ebb n flo table in RW cubes and this just made more sense both practical wise and money wise. So far I'm over the moon with the performance except hand watering is becoming a bit of a pain
Very interesting grow! I’ve grown several in the same container before and I got pretty good results. Nice grow, also growing this strain right now.
Hoping to have at least 3.5 ounces off one plant.
Really like emerald triangle seeds.
Look forward to seeing your future grows!
