Grow mates, I am surprised at how much quality bud I have from the last run. Not only are the top buds stella stuff, the 2nd tier pick is equally potent. I eeked out a win with damaged plants. Good genetics, undoubtedly. This time I am curious to try a Bros Grimm indica leaning strain. Given that I am having limited to no success reviving the clones from the deadly russet mite, while I am waiting for them to live or die here I am, planting for the next grow. Life goes on.

Grow Buds, All good. Trying out a new soil. Using char and compost in addition to coco. Let's see what happens. Adding Cherry Cookies x Mimosa to the mix. I tried vaping a nug a friend gave me. It was seeded. Planted those seeds immediately though. The flavor bowled me over. Unique and floral. This is not regular weed. Reminds me a little of Mac 1 which also didn't taste like pot. Symbiotics are on my radar. Relentless already were. A lot of people exclaiming on the ICmag the flavor and smell of Mimosa. I am intrigued.

Growfriends, Seedlings are doing ok. Their growth rate has picked up and they are becoming established in their new medium. I may put them under a bigger light this coming week. I'll dim it to 10%-20% I am very weary of mites as mite infected plants are in the area. I am not assuming I have killed them all. I have started preventively spraying with Smite. Thanks for the rec., T. I might add Neme cake to topsoil also. Another good rec., from H. I want to move past this defense stage of gardening and get back to having fun with growing. RE microclones. Looks like I'll be able to transplant a blood diamond and a chernobyl microclone. Let's see how that goes. Not having much success with the other strains. Both Mac clones have passed.:-(( I have 1 more shot left before I am out of material) Next phase. Buying a pressure cooker today. This is to sterilize equipment and test tubes and prepare the sterile agar rooting gel. This will improve my microclone odds of success. Washing and spraying tubes with alcohol may not be enough . I try to keep things simple and but here I am buying more shit to clutter my already cluttered space. It never ends. The trials and tribulations of an urban grower. The Durban Thai Cindy is this morning flavor. I am enjoying the synergy. lol It's a wonderful stone. So much so, I can easily imagine it being a good fit with the beach on a perfect day. Its that kind of bliss. Cheers all.

Grow mates. These plants are slow growing. I am using a new soil mix. They are finally getting established after transplant but russet mites are still causing damage to them all. I have removed most of the damaged leaves. Any bronzing you see is Russet mite damage. Applying Smite every 3 days seems to keep them in check but going to keep spraying for a while longer. Growth not affected by russets appears to be healthy. I have a lot of variation in the stages of growth as you can see. Mimosa being the most behind. I have topped the others. I'll go for another month in veg. probably. No signs of deficiency. Happy growing all.

Grow mates, Finally seeing some vigor in the leaves. Plants are growing nicely. Petioles are not showing the crimson. Given my previous set up, getting rid of pink petioles was never easy if you wanted your lights bright. Adding organics to my coco mix has finally made the difference I have been looking for. Leaf color is now lighter, all petioles and stalks are green. At day 12 since feed start, I think the microbial life is finally showing its benefits. When feeding, I keep my PPMs around 200 to motivate their development. I am also running Chernobyl, Tahoe White Cookies in a coco and perlite mix only. They look good but for the petioles which have turned purple. The only variable is the medium, one is amended, the other is not. Only after flower will I know the whole story. Hoping they won't suffer from too much nitrogen or some other overabundance. We'll see. Cheers.

Buds, Nothing much to report. Most of the girls have been topped for the second time. Stem rub is smelly on the G13's which is a good sign. Russet mites are inflicting only minor damage at this point. I have removed all damaged leaves. I keep spraying with Nukem every 3-4 days. Much easier to make healthy plants with the addition of organic amendments, I have found, but the plants don't grow as quickly. The leaf color is more even at the growth shoots and lighter overall. There are no pink petioles. Organically grown plants are smellier so I am hoping to evidence this in the budding stage. Much to look forward to. Upping light to 35,55,55 Topping slows down a plants growth quite a bit so I am expecting my plants to recover over the next week-10 days. I want to flip in about 3 weeks. Let's see how things go. Happy growing all.

Training the veg-lings to spread a bit. Everybody is looking healthy. The condition of the leaves is improving. Leaf color is not as flat in appearance as it was last week. The mycos and bio char must be kicking in. Setting up an auto watering system next week and will then flip to flower 2-3 weeks from now with trellising. There was a marked increase in water uptake this week. 3oz per plant per day, up to 4 oz per day. 1 gal pots are fed every couple of days no more than their uptake. I don't want to flush away the microbial life. Happy growing all.

Grow buds, Finally, I set up a watering system to replace my old water rings which I loved, but without a manifold watering unevenly across the garden was always a concern. Potted up to 3 gals. Soil mix 30/30/30/10 coco, perlite, bu's blend (cowshit), earthshine, a stinky bio char. I am holding back on adding amendments for the moment. Plant growth has compacted. Perhaps I overdid it? Lightened-up the soil mix this blend with additional perlite. 65 days Veg point is a week away. May not flip though. Canopy will not be full enough. It's going to be fun to flower these strains. Can't wait. Happy growing all.

Added a Blood Diamond OG and White Tahoe OG plant to fill the canopy. These plants were damaged by mites and I don't expect they will grow optimally. But the point is to I'll be able to taste what they to offer and determine how I wish to grow them in the future. All other ladies I am leaving alone. Waiting for the new tops leaves to equal up in size. No more LST from here out. Limited pruning. Let's see where they are in 2 weeks and hope the canopy is full enough to switch to flower. Feeding water with Cal Mag supplement. Killer Queen is showing signs of a Mag short. Happy growing all.

Growmates, Further tweaking and checking the watering set up. I am concerned about pots having dry spots. Looking to do a mini flush heading into flower. The leaf color is very intense because of the organics. Not sure what this means yet. No signs of Nitrogen toxicity otherwise. Last time I was looking at leaves like this I was using Photosynthesis plus and I made a mess of the run. It was claw city. Big leaves in the back on the Cherry Cookies Mimosa. One of the G13s is showing gigantism also. haha. Minor stripping this week. Flipping next week, gradually. Full 12 12 by the 22nd. Happy growing all.

F-7 Sept 29. Lots of stretch this week. One main cola grew 12". 2 weeks to go and I hope they don't keep growing at this rate. Strong limbs. Added in Chernobyl to replace Mimosa surprise male. She'll need a month to recover but this plant is the definition of vigorous. Hope to get a bud or two for tasting purposes. Blood diamond and Tahoe Cookies finding their feet. Tasting options also. I am seeing pistils on Killer Queen. Genius, not yet. Happy growing all.

We're almost at the fun stage of the run. Another week or two and these ladies will be strutting their good looks and smelling like a dream. Watering with 250ppm cal Mag. Nothing more. The newbie canopy fillers, Blood Diamond OG, White Tahoe Cookeis are showing mag deficiency but Killer Queen and Genius are not. Pistils started to show this week and came on quickly. These buds are showing good progress for week 2 of flower. I suspect I am further along than week 2. My slow passage into 12/12 probably means I am closer to 2 1/2 weeks. We'll see. Hoping not to see much more stretch but have at least a week to go before we're done. ppfd at 1200+ at high tops. I should be able to get plenty of ripe buds at that level. This is the most optimal garden I have grown so far. Holding my breath to see if I can finish optimally also. As an aside, I am still enjoying vaping the Bros Grimm bud from last run. Great stuff, clear and cerebral, no anxiety. Looking to try new physical effects this round with the indica heavy genetics. Happy growing all.

Pistils are accumulating like little white cotton balls, soon to be big white cotton balls hopefully. Weekly watering over a dry amendment called, Natures Pride - Bloom fert. started last week. Otherwise water only. I thought I noticed toxicity in a few of the leaves of a G13 even though I was feeding with only 250-300 ppm. It seems this is not necessary anymore if it ever was. The room has started to smell. A light frost has developed on Killer queen and a day later, G13. Both are a lot more pleasant to the nose than I was expecting. Blood diamond and White Tahoe were transplanted from Coco perlite medium to coco perlite and Bu's blend. They are still showing some stress but otherwise look healthy. I may have to take special precautions to ensure the neighbours don't get a whiff on my activities this run. Growing organic is smellier. Cheers, all.

What started as a fan leaf selective plucking morphed into full-blown defoliation. Oops. Girls are recovering. Slowed things down a bit. The pistilopilos is about to kick it up a gear, however. The calyces are swelling. I do like the leaf to calyx ratio of Bros Grimm genetics, btw. It's very high. And as they say, more calyces, the higher the density of trichomes. Cheers grow mates.

Grow mates, The clone only strains have been bred to produce large calyx's it seems. White Tahoe Cookies show it. Her swell is larger and coming on way earlier than the rest. Blood diamond is right in there with similar development, Killer Queen is showing abundant pistils. G13 is a week behind. She's oily. This run is organic and differs from other runs I have done. I expect top-quality shit and so far so good although I was expecting more pistil growth this week. Have I over nuted? I didn't think this was possible in an organic grow but all my tips are lightly toasted and this happened after adding the Natures Pride. The next few weeks are going to be the fun stage. Its candy land in here now. 4 weeks and counting. Cheers all.

Shooting photos under florescent this time. Not very representative but you get the idea. I need to buy lights and a camera but, like, where do you stop!! Enough equipment already! Lovely smells emanating from the grow room. Killer Queen is the most floral, White Tahoe Cookies is the woodiest spiciest and most appealing to me. Shit hot cookies genetics I would guess. a la Kush4Breakfast. Thanks. Too much nitrogen feeding WTC and Blood Diamond OG, the late additions. The soil is largely organic, been feeding low nutes. where did the extra N come from? Nature's pride flower blend is the likely cause. Will cut in half next run. I wonder if the excess nitrogen is the reason I have such puffed calyxes on WTC and Blood? Something more to investigate. Cheers and happy growing all.

The harvest window opens in a week but pretty sure going to run to F 63. Trying to use my diary summary run page photos as an analytics device.I am looking to compare key photos from each run to the matching week of flower or veg. of another run. There's a good idea for you, Grow Diaries. Code it up. WTC and Blood D. looking very overfed at this stage. Frost is below usual standards as a result. That said, the smell is long-lasting on the fingers and very pungent. I am guilty of sampling the G 13 this afternoon. I am happy to say, I am high a.f. Today, a day later, I tried the White Tahoe Cookies. I am high as fuck again. I could pick now and not be disappointed.. Not much of a body effect at this stage but mentally, I feel nicely out-to-lunch. What a beauty. Pretty confident this run, for all its faults, is going to produce my best bud yet. Nugs are hard. Hardest I have made. Nature's Pride products deliver. Didn't think I over nuted at any stage but I did. I have some research to do. Soil should be a better second run. Will lighten up on the amendments. No amber trichomes yet. Don't expect much of a fade given the N levels. Happy growing all.

Hard nugs to squeeze, tender to touch. Smelling lovely. Still a big fan of the White Tahoe Cookies, G 13 has a greasy feel and a more acrid nose, in a good way. I am seeing amber trichomes on most buds but not a lot of them percentage-wise. I'll go for another week and harvest. From my sampling, all ladies pack a punch so I don't need to run longer for potency, only effect. As I said before, not a lot of frost to be seen here. The ladies have been overfed. I will go lighter on the Earthshine next time and go another run. Looking forward to the drying and cure. Happy growing all.

I am about to harvest lots of chunky buds. Quality is there so I am happy. Nugs are tighter and denser than all other grows yet they are still tender and sticky. I am going to run another round re-using this soil. Loving the G13 pheno with the oilest ands stickiest buds. Killer queen has chunked up nicely, smell is much more fruity than the rest. Not my fav. but nice all the same. White Tahoe Cookies has the smell I like the most. Spicy kush without the earthiness. Love love love it. This must be my medicine. ;-) Much yet to discover. Will report back as I progress through the harvest. Dec 12, Killer Queen has a really pronounced flavor. She is fruity like a light version of a ripe banana with a little spiciness added. Her pungent nose has the same characteristics. I pollinated her with Banana Mac sperm and have collected a few matured seeds. This could be a fun project for the future. She is a vigorous grower and was the most productive plant, weight-wise.

What are your thoughts on the tissue culture? Is that your preferred method or do you continue to clone your plants as well? I found you because I just got some Capulator Mac n Cheese regular seeds in. I am debating if i should plant half of them and store the rest or if i should put half the seeds into tissue culture (or whatever it is called when starting seeds off). Do you do the tissue culture yourself or do you send them off to get done? I started following this grow so I can see your progress. I will let you know when i plant mine so you can follow if you want.

DD, you can see the original Cap's cut clone on my previous grow. She is distinctive to look at. The leaf color mid rib reminds me of silver beets and the smell is out of left field beautiful. I am hopeful some of these original terpenes will pop up in our hybrids.

DD, TreeStars carry good breeders but never heard of them before now. Thanks for the tip. TreeStars carry more seeds by Capulator than anywhere else from what I can tell. I bought mine at Neptune seed bank. They were generous to me. and gifted a Rebel Grown special selection called 5G which is a sour Diesel, chem dog, OG, C99 cross. Hats off to them. Rebel Grown's Lemon Sugar Kush I love. I have a few seeds sitting in water as we speak along with seeds of Banana Mac and Cherry Cookies/Mimosa cross. Looking forward to following your Mac and Cheese grow. Cheers.

@Mr_Positivo, I have never tried any of the mac strains, in fact I have never seen a plant or the bud in person. I have been getting my seeds from TreeStars for the last few years, I like dealing with them. The banana mac and mac n cheese look like the best ones of the latest drop. Based off grow pictures from Instagram anyway. When do you plan on popping some of those seeds?
