Huntablunt Here me grow again............Welcome and greetings!!!
So, after about a year of thinking about growing the LCG from Barney, its finally happening. And I can tell you folks, my guts say they will turn out amazing!! Not being willing to wait any longer I decided.........You know what, why not let the LCG germinate together with the gorilla punch?? Should I finish the gorilla punch with 12 hours of light, so I can send the gelato into blooming after maybe 5 weeks???? HELL NO!!!!!!!!
Why not finish the gorilla punch with 18/6 and TTHEN send the Gelato into blooming, after some lovely 10 weeks of vegetation:) Might this be a problem concerning the height??? Might be, so it would just take some more work I guess to bend them, top them etc.
I did not take pictures from the plants in the first week/started the diary with germination, so the diary is starting arround week 6. As always, I put the seeds into soil, water it, and let it germinate like mother nature intended them too. As always, germination rate is 100%, so I would recommend this bulletproof method to everybody.
The plants are doing absolutely fine, no problems at all.
This diary starts, whith plants being in week 6 from germination, so since I am not sure which photos were taken in which week, I just send a bunch of photos and then kepp the report uptaded weekly. Unfortunately it is not possible to edit the diary weeks, at least I dont know how this would be........please keep that in mind when reading this diary, so you are not confused.

Huntablunt So, now it is week 6 and the Gorillas started to bloom. I did notice that some of the photos are not in order.........but I just wanted to show you some lovely pictures of what happened so far, without me taking hours to sort them:) From next update on, everything will be in chronological order. 2 phenos will most likely turn out green, the other one already shows dark purple tones and wight look alike the purple pheno from the strawberry gorilla from the last grow. This time, I decided to give them smaller pots. I did this for 2 reasons......First of all I didnt have enough soil and didnt want to wait, not even 2 days:)
The other reason is, I wanted to see the difference in result, comparing to the larger pots I used before. I guess there will be a big difference in yield, but who knows........
So far everything worked easy, only that I did damage two of the gelatos lower branches........but I guess thats ok, because they are about to be a long time in vegetation, so.......
Concerning beauty in growth, I like the gelato in the back the most. She looks just so evenly, just stunning. If it comes to the gorillas, its the purple pheno that looks the most gorgeous to me.

Huntablunt So, here we are up to date, june 3rd in the beginning of week 6. What I could notice is, the gorillas demand lots of nutrients now. So I will adjust a bit quicker. Looking at the gelatos, they would like some more nitrogen and I guess, I also am thinking about giving them larger pots, but not sure yet.

Huntablunt High guys......
Its start of another week, and so here are some pictures. I โday by dayโ took off some leaves here and there from the gelatos, to let light in and allow better windflow. I also train them daily and bend the branches down as much as I can or it make sense, so the smaller sidebranches can develop further.
My plan is keep on doing that, so the plants will extend to left and right, so in the end the entire space of the tent is filled. Also I want to keep them as small as possible for as long as possible, since they still be vegging for at least 4 weeks. If they stay small enough I can let them just stretch once blooming, without having to bother about the height. And in a week or 2 I guesss I give them the larger pots, so they still have enough time to use that space before bloom.
The Gorilla punch develops and I am curious how looks/smell/taste turn out. Dont think they will still show me different, but I will never grow autos again in 11L pots. So far it makes the impression that giving them 20 insteas of 11L makes a huge difference.
Once I saw the leaves changing I first increased CalMag and Grow and observed. Then decided to increase again, this time even a bit more and now, it looks like the ammount is good for the gelatos, where as I am not quite sure with the gorillas. Thing is, that the purple pheno is the most generous, just grows and doesnt seem to demmand much. Whereas the 2 green phenos seem to be needing lots more nutrients. One of the gorillas was topped like the gelatos and, suprisingly to me, seems to react very well to that. The Gelato are approximately 25-30cm tall, 2 gorilla have 50cm, the other one i smaller, about 40cm.
When I look into my tent, I always like watching the plants closely and imagine their further growth and appearance. And I am SO ANTIPATING flowering of the gelatos even though I will have some problems with space I guess, lol. You can see they already fill almot the entire tent in depth and if I see all those still tiny sidebranches and imagine them in late bloom โ I might hope for a nice see of green.
Update Day 45
I decided its time for the gelatos to get bigger pots. Also took of some leaves...........They reaceive 2ml of calmag and 4.5ml of grow and look like they would take even more. I think I will increase further slowly.

Huntablunt So its start of week 8........
I guess the gorillas will be ready in 2 weeks. 2 of them develop ok, the pruple one bothers me. She looked fine and from one day to another seemed to have huge problems that I cant explain and nothing seems to really work. Same as the one strawberry from the other grow. Thats sad, because in my oppinion she was the plant I was most excited for. Well, she wont be yielding great, as the other ones too, but the quality might be quite good. At least the buds I see so far seem promising.
Dont have much experience with autos, but I will definetly never grow them in small pots again. Even if the Gorilla punch is not as productive as the strawberry gorilla the difference is too big. Looking at the plants, I think they might end up in between 40/50 dry per plant. THis strain will get another run in larger pots, if the quality of the weed is nice.
The gelatos look ok too, bu I would like to send them into flowering already:)
Update
Besides the Gelatos looking better now after increased nutrition and larger pots, the temperature as you can see on the lasst photo is very high. Cant do anything about that at the moment, besides running the light at 50%. They have two more weeks, and hen finally......:) Really want to see the buds

Huntablunt Hello to week 9!!
I started giving the Gorilla Punch plants just water, because during the last week they really fattened up and look close to finish. Must say that they performed better than I epxected and I love the different smells from the different phenos, and the optic too. Whatever happened to the purple plant, it decreassed her possible performance, but still shes going through. It is an interesting pheno with really rock hard, dense buds. She has the most intense smell that promises interesting aroma, but the other ones too. One pheno smells more "fruity", citrus note and with the other I notice some earthy notes.
I will put them in darkness for three days at the end of the week and I must say I am quite happy they finish a week earlier than I expected, because the Gelatos really start growing like crazy now. I know found out that an ec of 1.8 suits them. I couldnt believe what they swallow and was really doubting whether to increase nutrition to this extent in vegetation, but it seems to be just fine for them.
So at the end of the week I can finally switch to 12/12 and enjoy seeing these Monsters bloom. What will be a problem is the temperature right now when it comes to drying, but I hope it wont be too intense. So far I would say I definetly would grow the Gorilla punch again. If you plant them in 11L you could easily put 9 plants on 1.2*1.2m and adding that up you can expect a nice yield. I would rather plant them in larger pots next time to see the difference.
What I can approve already now is, that the Gorilla Punch seems to be quite reistant to stress. Some things were not ideal but still I couldnt find any sign of pollination. I could have given them a higher EC, but I stopped, because I thought ammounts would be too absurc. So I will keep that in mind for next time......
2 Gelatos got lollipopped a bit further and at the end of the week, I will cut the last parts, before moving them to the middle of the tent, applying the net. The Gelato in the back cant be reached to work on properly so I will do that when I get the Goraillas out and have some pace to move.
Huntablunt So, the work is done and Ladies got undressed!! I will let them in the pots until tomorrow and then hang them up for drying. Now my hands smell intense and I love it. I would describe it as a deep gasy note that first hits your nose. But the greener pheno has earthy/wooden smell behind it, whilst the purple just throws only gasy smell at you. The mixed pheno smelled a bit fruitier during flowering, but now it seems that this is more of the background, and also this (I guess typical for this strain) gasy smell is dominant.
From looking at the buds and smelling them I am sure the taste will be a good one. I will give another update in a few weeks when its cured and tasted. Must say the strain performed, even though I was careful with nutrition. Also the heat didnt seem to cause great stress and all in all I would recommend it so far. Concerning yield they did better than I first thought, but my experience from this grow is, to plant autos in at least 19L. I am sure this strain will deliver even better if given enough soil and ec is met.
The strain took exacly 9 weeks from seed to harvest, which is crazy short. The purple plant could have gotten another week, because due to stress she stayed behind, but I really had to switch to flowering for the gelatos now and needed the space.
Huntablunt Finally.........it time for the Lemon Cherry Gelato to enter flowering stage. When I got them out of the tent and watched them, they appeared to me both very beautiful in growth as well a quite big. If I wouldnt bend them down they would be having 65cm and I guess I might get some real problems if they stretch too hard, lol. But I hope it will be managable, as there is still a bit space to the sides. So far, everything looks absolutely great and I hope there wont be unexpected problems, because this Strain/grow is a very special one for me.........
So here are some impressions from different angles.......I really guess thats it with lollipopping and I will see how some of the lower branches do. What I will do approximately the next 2 weeks is, tieing the single branches to the net, to create an even canpopy, at least as much as possible. At the end, the 3 ladies will be occupying the entire tent and I guess it will look amazing.
When I saw the plants without the net I thought.....what a beatiful growth.......would be awesome outdoors too I think. EC is still at 1.8. I might increase it now, will see. After the first week I will drop nitrogen and adapt to blooming nutrition. Please let it look like my imagination in some weeks time:)
@RasendeRollo92, thx;) I fear it might be too early to give the gelatos larger pots. They might turn into total fucking freaks after further 5/6 weeks of vegetation๐ I will see if they are content if I increase nitrogen, if not I will have to change them.
