zorn_des_kinski Have been looking forward for this strain for a while now. I was looking for a sativa strain with a rather low THC level and stumbled upon Shaman. One of the two documented phenotypes will develop red buds and I hope my little plant friend is that one, but we'll see :) This is the fist time I reuse the soil from my previous grow. For this purpose, I removed all of the roots and flushed the soil a few times to get rid of leftover fertilizer that might be too much for the young plant.

zorn_des_kinski I noticed some slightly burned tips, so reduced the amount of fertilizer. Could also have been some other cause, it was insanely hot, 33°C in my apartment. Luckily, it will be much cooler this week

zorn_des_kinski I suspect the issues I had with this plant are related to a Sulfur toxicity. I've been feeding her a small amount of Epsom salt with every watering, so far, to prevent a Magnesium deficiency. But by doing so, I also fed her Sulfur. I knew this, but I didn't expect that this could turn into a problem. I'm of course not sure, this is what's actually going on here, but I carefully flushed her two times in the last week and she looks healthier.

zorn_des_kinski I decided to deploy a ScrOG-net for the first time. The two main shoots grew way higher than the outer ones, so I cut them at the height of the net. Another reason for topping them was to have more growth to fill the center. Also thinned out the bottom part of the plant. I'm curious to see the outcome of this project :)

zorn_des_kinski I flipped to 12/12 on 11.08.26 and I count the 12th as first day of flowering. Usually I would wait for the first white pistils to appear and take that day as the first day of flowering. Due to the long veg period, the plant already showed pre-flower pistils, so I can't use this as an indicator. I also tugged every top under the net and in a few days I will thin out the bottom part of the plant one last time.

zorn_des_kinski Plant looks healthy. I advanced to the next step of the fertilizer scheme. The stretch was very moderate, I expected the plant to grow way higher than that. It's also interesting that one side is growing higher than the other one

zorn_des_kinski Some of the lower leaves turn yellow and detach. I guess this is the beginning fade. I also noticed tiny mites on the soil, which emerge after watering. They don't go onto the plant and move fairly quickly, so I assume those are harmless soil-mites.

Great how you kept this plant low like that in a 12 liters pot, I know that Shaman stretches until 1,50 meters depending on the conditions but good job here with the light intensity!!! May I ask you the PPFD during vegetative?

@Hempanadas I used the DLI values from the table for photoperiodic cannabis on the photone website as a guide to adjust the PPFD. I actually didn't expect or intend the plant to stay that low but I also don't mind it. Makes everything more manageable :) I guess it's more likely related to genetics and the way I trained her.
