Day 110 since being cloned. Eight weeks of flowering complete, one week projected left. I’ve decided to pull the plug on Strawberry Cough. I’ve been monitoring the buds closely, they did swell this past week, but they are not really gaining quality at this point. For the amount of yield I am losing out on I’d be better served rotating another plant into my flowering tent. You can see I was beyond a good size, the branches stretched too much, and were scrawny and too heavy to support. To be honest, this plant in general is a bit disappointing looking at the size of the buds. Believe me, they are dense, frosty, and veeeeery smell (just amazing smelling, actually) but there is not much flower. Ahh well. I respect Dutch Passion’s Strawberry Cough too much not to do one last photo preview before chop, I just took it outside my basement, outdoors in natural light. I am also noticing red stems, deficiency etc. Obviously the plant uses up nutrients as it gets close to harvest so I’m not concerned about the yellowing and such, but I’m still tweaking the feedings for Cough, as I suspect maybe a better nutrient regime would have boosted yield. I have been giving the same schedule to three other beauty plants, so I’m not way off in left field depriving the plants. I will get many ounces off of CBDutch Treat, Laughing Buddha, White Widow, etc. Strawberry Cough is still a favorite strain - but it is a low yielder. I gave it a good flush and put it into darkness...

I think you would get alot more weight if you treated this strain like a sativa dominant strain and flowered for an extra two or three weeks. I've had the same thing with my sativa base strains they need alot longer to pack out and chunk up but i have never grown strawberry cough so It could just be that the strain is a really light yeild.

Does it really have a typical strawberry flavor when you exhale ?

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, yes. Very fruity. It smells really good while growing, and the final product is very fragrant. It has a very distinct taste on the first two hits through the vape. I haven’t grown a huge variety of strains, but I’ve purchased and vaped a huge variety in my time and if you are into flavour - believe me, buy some seeds from Dutch Passion.
