PapaTerps New Money - Compound Genetics
SUMMER is upon us and grows that were started around March are a week or so away from harvest - so that means I'll have an empty tent pretty soon! So I've decided to start another grow for this Summer and into Autumn. π
For this grow, I've selected New Money by Compound Genetics - I chose this strain for its Diesel and Menthol flavours, Happy/Creative effects and for the breeder - I've only every grown great things with Compound Genetics, I think they're one of the best around. I will be vegging her for about 5 weeks and I will be using a mixture of growing techniques which I have used before, including topping with some low stress training. You're all more than welcome to follow along, I will try to detail my process without overloading each week with "Too Much Info"π
Day 1 (16/06)
- Seed dropped into a small metal screw tin filled with RO Tap water pH'd to 6.3 and stored in a dark warm room - she will remain here until the seed pops and a taproot appears; I will check the progress of the seed every ~12 hours.
Day 2
- The seed has already popped and a taproot has appeared, so I've filled a small 0.3L paper starter pot with some All-Mix and dropped the seed in!
Day 3
- The seedling has already appeared from the soil, with her two starter leaves already searching for light. π
Day 5
- She has a nice long stem and her first leaves have started to develop ππ»

Day 9
πΏ Watered every three days with 1L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually and in order, finally I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I have upped some of her nutrients as she will need it during this phase ππ»
βοΈ I've removed two of her top most fan leaves to improve light penetration to the lower nodes, this will encourage lower stem growth.
π± Week 2 of Veg, and shes working on stretching, strengthening her main stem as well as producing lower side stems πͺπ»

Day 17
πΏ Watered every three days with 1L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually and in order, finally I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I've upped her root juice nutrients to help with her root development, and from next week she will get a complete nutrition overall; switching fish mix to BioGrow ππ»
βοΈ I've removed a couple of her lower fan leaves to improve airflow and I've also topped her main stem to allow the lower stems to grow up and form a consistent canopy. I plan on topping her once more, but for now I will let her recover and grow more πͺπ»
π± Week 3 of Veg, she recovered quickly from her first topping and has started to grow out her lower stems and supporting fan leaves! Compound Genetics has never failed to impress me, she is growing so well!! From next week, I will begin some low stress training, I will also be moving all these girls into a larger 5x5, so watch this space π»

Day 27
πΏ Watered every four days with 2L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually and in order, finally I ph'd the solution to 6.3. No alterations to her feeding.
βοΈ This week I've lollipopped and defoliated her to improve airflow and to encourage her to grow up and that's it!
π± Week 4 of Veg, and she's worked really hard on stretching and developing her stems! She's been very consistent in her growth, keeping a nice growing pace and is recovering quickly from stressers; Compound never fails to impress! I've moved her into a 5x5 tent now along with all of the other plants in this grow, I will also be setting up a drip feed system from next week to streamline the feeding process ππ»

Day 36π‘ PPFD: 540
βVPD: 1.25kPa
πΏ Watered every four days with 3L of RO water, with nutrients mixed individually, in order and then finally, I ph'd the solution to 6.3. I've reduced her root nutrient as she no longer requires it and increased her CalMag because some of the plants were showing signs of magnesium deficiency. From next feeding, I will start to introduce her bloom nutrients.
βοΈ I've given her a good defoliation and I've lollipopped her up to about the third/fourth node from the canopy, I've also attached a couple of 90 degree training clip to her tallest stems to bring it down to match the canopy! She will be left alone now until her stretch phase of flower has completed.
π± Week 5 of Veg, she has the perfect shape and structure, nice strong lateral stems and a nice even canopyππ»she's showing all the signs to suggest she's reached maturity, so another week or so of veg and she'll be switched over to a 12 hour schedule and flower ππ»
