poloq 2026_06_18 _Germination Started the germination of 2x Blue Monster Auto from Zamnesia today. ___________________________ _Learnings Blue Monster Auto is a super beginner friendly strain. Not even because of its resilience, but because you can clearly see the stages of its cycle and with that, learn to identify said cycles better in other genetics.

poloq 2026_06_27 _Environment We got the highest temperatures ever recorded in germany, so the plants didn't perform to well (one oft them actually died). _Plants *I acidentally damaged one of the cotyledons (can be seen in the last picture).

poloq 2026_07_18 _Plants Unfortunatly snapped a branch, so now its 3 shoots. But besides that, everything's doing well. _Preflower Preflower started too, so about 2-3 + 2-3 weeks left to adjust the branches for the next phase.

poloq 2026_08_01 _Plants Still, just growing a lot. Seems like I have a slight imbalance in nutrients but cba to even look up what it might be since everything's going super nicely. I also turned the plant by 180° because my light (and reflection) is not 100% symmetrical. _Flower The plants shifted into flower around the 4th of august. I might do a slight defolation within the next few days but will definitly do a bigger one in about 2 - 3 weeks.

poloq 2026_08_08 _Setup I rotated the pot again (back to its original position) because the plant is actually growing 'too vigorously' and is already touching the wall. This gives it more space and makes it easier to shape it into a more even canopy. _Living Soil I got a little weevil! _Plants Although there were some slight imbalances in recent weeks, there are no longer any signs of a deficiency. Even the tips of the leaves are completely green.

poloq 2026_08_15 _Plants The plant really is maturing more and more every day. It’s already getting darker, more colorful, and - to be honest - smells pretty strong already. I also got another rosecomb mutation (a little leaf coming of a leaf). ___Smell = Overall mild and smooth. From strong to weak: + creamy o cheesy o berry o herbal - spicy. ___Defoliation I decided to do the big defoliation on the 18th of august - exactly 2 weeks in flower (4 including preflower). I tend to do this when the plant has clearly been into flower for about 2 - 3 weeks (and as mildly as possible), starting from the bottom and just taking out crowded and intensly overlapping areas in a way, so that every potential bud gets direct light/ can be seen from the persepctive of the lamp... ___Topping ...In fact, I topped the plant once more. I wouldn't normally do this to spare the plant stress, but I had to do it because these shoots were growing significantly taller than all the others and would have posed a problem in terms of optimal light distribution. My goal is to grow flowers that are as uniform as possible, about the size of a golf ball... ___LST ...With that, I also did a little LST to use the new spaces better/ even out the canpoy. All that training led to a plateau that lasted about three days, until I noticed new growth again. [Edit.: ~ 3 days where nothing happened, ~ 7 days 'till the growth went back to 'normal'.] _Environment After the last two months, during which it was hot almost nonstop, autumn now seems to be setting in in my region: rainy, mild weather with temperatures between 18 and 25 °C - which is actually quite pleasant for the flowers, since the flavonoids and terpenes are less likely to break down due to the heat. I decided to turn the pot again and repositioned the lamp, because the most dominant shoots are getting to strong.

poloq 2026_08_22 _Plant Aside from the resumption of growth, the plant has also already begun to get some new colors: the stigmas are turning brown (while new white ones spawn every day) the resin production is becoming increasingly evident the leafes start getting a little bit of discoloration (yellowing (nutrient shift) and purple (light + genetics)). ...all together indicating that we're definitly within the 'mid-flower'. _Environment Had some colder and more moist days, but still in a good range overall.

poloq 2026_08_29 _Plant Not much to say - just getting bigger and more mature. (I expect the plant to be done between the start of week 12 and the end of week 13.) _Flower It looks as though the plant is entering the “late flowering” stage. The trichomes are about 20% clear, 79% milky (different stages), 1% amber. Based on a combination of observation and knowledge—and organized into a system here for the first time—I classify the plant’s stages as follows: Germination: The seed absorbs water and forms a root. (approx. 2 days) Seedling stage: The seed develops roots and cotyledons. (approx. 2 days) 01: The plant forms its first 2–3 pairs of leaves. (approx. 2 weeks) 02: The plant begins to grow (+ side shoots). (depending on genetics (incredibly short for autos)) Pre-flowering: The plant reveals its sex. (approx. 2 weeks) Early Flower: The plant begins to form flower buds. Vegetative growth starts to slow down towards mid flower... (1/3 of the flowering period) Mid-Flower: The flowers show the first signs of maturity (resinous, denser, discoloration). Little new vegetative growth (mostly sugar leaves) + completion of already formed structures. (1/3 of the flowering period) Late-Flower: No vegetative growth / onset of 'deficiency symptoms.' The flowers become significantly more mature. (1/3 of the flowering period) Please add your thoughts!
