purpleme CuttingsFirst time growing with cuttings and also took some. Since it got way too big, I had to top it and put the shoots in a coco coir pot for 15 days. They both took a bit, but without any additives, they rooted super well and have become big and strong. Ultimately really simple.
Flowering day 16, which is why I activated IR at the end of the day and am switching to bulking. I’ll also do some deleafing in the coming days since it’s gotten quite full in the tent. I really notice that the strains grown from seeds are significantly more stable and have a bit more power, especially with the stems and branches. The guys from faven are cutting their BZ on day 48, which is very early, leaving only 32 days to go. Let’s see if I can manage that with my setup. I'm still on a 6-18 hour rhythm and will be heating for the next 5 days. I might slowly switch to 4-16 hours if necessary.
It's really terrible to grow right now. Too hot + too humid. Even when drying and curing, I currently have to help out with Vivi Cure. If it holds up to its promises, it could be a game changer with the current temperatures.

purpleme Bt 24 the Crippy is starting to smell strong. Everyone has handled the heat well, with temperatures reaching 32°C. Mimozz seems to be light-sensitive. Everything else is under control. Side and undercanopy are running at 11 and 11.5 hours respectively.
Bt19 has been defoliated.

purpleme Mimozz & Jack Murphy are a few days behind. Bz and Crippy are doing well, but BZ is already starting to turn the first pistils brown (if it really only goes 48 days, that would be okay, but I'm worried about the weight then). Crippy x Bluenerds looks the best in terms of bud size and morphology. Everything else is still unusually small. Otherwise, way too much biomass. It was last this full with double the number of plants in the tent. I'm curious how much this will affect the quality. I expect slightly reduced bud size down below since the light doesn't penetrate far, despite undercanopy and side lights. We will see.

purpleme The drain must have been too low in the last 3 weeks. My reference plant with the sensor wasn't well chosen this time, and I definitely should have forced more drain. In the last few days, I've adjusted quite a bit + equipped the driest plant with a soil sensor. So now, I'll be managing the last 2 weeks very generatively and then it's off to the finish.

purpleme Bt 44 : Mimozz looks like it wants to finish next so i give it a Dead strip right after this entry. The other 2 strains go strong and i want to push little bit more weight before they finish.
🪓 BT43. Finished extremely fast with post light ir. Fucked up the Bulking phase, why both skittle crosses in my tent stayed small. Don't need a ton of light. Needs support.
Waiting for harvest to update nug shots + nose.
It's done and I'm surprised. It brought more weight than expected + the smell has improved significantly. At its core, it's funky kush with sweetness, mint, and a bit of fruit that leans towards blueberry. Everything is quite densely intertwined so nothing stands out clearly. During the grow, it smelled one-dimensional and flat. It lives up to the hype. Interesting strain.

Bt 47 Not harvest and could probably have gone another 3-4 days, but I couldn't manage the climate anymore. I was satisfied with the strain. Very tasty and sweet peach that started to stink nicely from week 4 or 5. It also has bag appeal. The weight wasn't particularly impressive. That was mostly due to my mistakes. Estimated medium(-) yielder. Update after cure.

purpleme Not harvested and could probably have gone another 2-3 days, but I couldn't handle the climate anymore. Either way too warm due to the heatwave or way too wet from constant rain. Next few years going outdoor again in the summer.
Bt50 Not harvested as I couldn't handle the climate anymore. It could have definitely taken another good week.
Good yielder, good growth, average bag appeal, and the smell is also okay.
Top note: Light sweetness + citrus, paired with acidity that then transitions into a restrained OG note that forms the core.
With ️, we have both a strain that's heavy on the blue sherb and smells like glacier ice candies, as well as a typical skittles-heavy strain that's sour, zesty sweet, and leans towards sour apple rings.
I can easily imagine that during the curing process, some OG will join in, as it was already noticeable on the plant.
Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised here as well.
Update after cure.
