lolasher Good growth from the start

lolasher The plant is now alternating between the sunroom and outside to get used to the sunlight. As with all my autos, I remove the first two complete leaves so that the side branches can develop stronger. It's just bro-science, I know, but it has always worked pretty well for me so far. The clawing leaves are due to the soil being quite hot. But that settles down over time.

lolasher 6 out of 7 days were continuous rain. The plant doesn't mind... it grows wonderfully.

lolasher It rained almost the whole week again. So far, healthy growth, without any asparagus symptoms. The Tropicanna Poison FF next to it isn't handling the darkness very well.

lolasher And again, typical northern German weather. There was rain, storm, and hail. Today, on the last day of the week, the sun is shining again. I'm really positively surprised at how the plant is handling the weather. Since the SGA is just about to flower, I gave it a good dose of neem oil today to at least have a small chance against pests and mildew. Here in Emsland, you usually have 80-90% humidity at night - so mold is pretty much guaranteed.

lolasher Little weather update: Unlike last week, the sun hasn't been seen at all in the last seven days. The plants are forming their first small flower clusters. They are now about 80cm tall, and the side branches are huge.

lolasher Will this be the first cannabis plant that only knows the sun from stories? We will see. Unfortunately, the flowering is developing accordingly - but where there’s little hanging, there can only be little mold 🤣

lolasher The sun-free time is finally over. It's been summer for three days now, and the temperatures have shot up from 16 to 30 degrees during the day. I suspect this will lead to some serious foxtailing, but that's okay. Little by little, you can see where the journey is headed. The SGA is now 110cm. I'm really impressed given the catastrophic conditions!

lolasher Crazy weather… ONLY SUN! Every day over 30 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. The buds are swelling, it's getting frostier. Unfortunately, the heat has one downside: I have to say goodbye to solid buds - but whatever, as long as something is happening.

lolasher The tenth week is over. The buds are still growing nicely and forming a lot of new flower clusters. The lifespan indicated by the manufacturer has been reached, but visually, there are still a few weeks to go. I haven't checked the trichomes yet. The plan is as follows: Knowing that with this amount of flowering, mold will be a big risk, I actually want to keep them for at least another two weeks. As soon as I can spot any mold, they will be chopped down. Even if the buds are probably not fully developed yet. I live in the north near the Dutch border in a moor area. The humidity here is rarely below 60%, even in these current dry conditions. At night, it's always between 80 and 90 (it's super dry here right now). But who knows… maybe I'm worrying for no reason and they’ll last another month.

lolasher It's still standing, it has no mold at all, and it's still swelling nicely. On top of that, the buds are getting some color. A light pink/purple is spreading, and the appearance of the buds is moving away from the green tone of the rest of the autoflower. Every day, more and more leaves are getting frosty, and the buds smell more intense every day... and even though I thought all of this was just a silly marketing gimmick... this thing really smells like strawberries - quote: Mother-in-law! Crazy stuff... For me, it's actually done. All trichomes are milky, a few amber. But it just doesn't want to stop developing new flowers, so I'm going to keep playing the waiting game and let it sit for another week. You can't see it in the photos, but I never thought something like this was possible in northern Germany. Despite the dry phase, we have 80-90% humidity after 10 PM, completely without wind. I consider it completely mold-free because it's ready for my OUTDOOR standards. Everything that comes now is a bonus, or a gamble - depending on the outcome. :-)

lolasher She's still got two days left, then it's harvest time. Still no signs of mold at all, hardly any pests, brutal buds, and a smell that the neighbors five houses down can still catch with a good wind 😎. The Strawberry Gorilla was a three-year-old seed I found in my grow room. No expectations. That something like this comes out in the north... crazy. So I already know what plants will be outside next year. The trichomes are all milky, with a few amber ones. Even on the lower buds. The top hasn't really changed in the last two weeks. You can't really talk about early or emergency harvests anymore. Unfortunately, I lost my smartphone magnifier and only have my twenty-year-old retro magnifier, which is why there are no trichome photos. I'm really excited.

lolasher At the beginning of week 13, it was harvest time. No mold, no insect plague. A grow straight out of a picture book. Props to Fastbuds, great strain! Also, the first grow with Living Soil. Absolute recommendation. For anyone interested: Per 10l of soil: Lightmix or old soil 10l Rock dust 50g Mycorrhiza granules 200g Coconut soil 1.5l Chicken manure pellets 150g Pumice 0.5l Worm humus 0.5l Dolomite lime 20g Additionally, I added about 10 compost worms to 40l, which keep the soil nice and loose and significantly contribute to good growth in all my plant grows, making them feel much more resistant - caution: Bro-Science! You feed them with compost tea, straw as mulch, and all the leaves you take from the plant - chopped up. If you don't feed them, they'll gnaw at the roots. But no worries - straw alone is usually enough. The plant received two compost teas made from worm humus throughout the entire grow, that's it. As you can see, the little guys are doing great - the honeydew melon is already in the same pot - let's see how it feels about that. The buds are fluffy and a bit foxtaily, as expected. You can't avoid that in a greenhouse with consistently crazy hot temperatures. The inner buds are still nice and firm. I'm really satisfied - got a decent yield. They're now hanging in the net at 18 degrees in the cellar. And did I mention that there was NO mold whatsoever? In northern Germany? And that this wasn't a rescue harvest, but a finished auto? I'm already looking forward to next year… maybe an Apple Strudel from Fastbuds? (If you're reading this: get in touch 🤙😉😂) Just kidding. Really great strain!
