DuschkabinenGrow ⠀ 🗓️ Day: 0, Week: 0, Date: 16 June 2026, Germination: 16 June 2026 📥 Water (base): Dechlorinated tap water, pH ~7.5, Ca ~107 mg/L, Mg ~21 mg/L, EC 650 µS/cm 📝 Notes The seed was first soaked for 24 hours in a glass of water adjusted to pH 5.8. After that, I placed it in a moist paper towel to germinate. Once the taproot appeared, it was transferred into a Jiffy for a short time. So far, everything has been calm and straightforward. Now it is just a matter of waiting for the seedling to establish itself and develop its first leaves. 📊 Excel sheet (full log with watering): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZzOFhRkeMzbzNMwsRgU6tikK327d4RQVsuh6pRR_ns/edit?usp=sharing

The weather has been extremely hot and sunny, but so far she seems to be handling it well. The mulch should help keep the substrate from drying out too quickly, which is especially useful under these conditions. For now, she looks comfortable and is settling in nicely. 📊 Excel sheet (full log with watering): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZzOFhRkeMzbzNMwsRgU6tikK327d4RQVsuh6pRR_ns/edit?usp=sharing

Overall, she is developing well and looks healthy. Soon, she will get her first neem oil treatment as a preventive measure. Over the next few weeks, I will also start tying her down. I am planning to keep the training very light and adapt it specifically to the conditions on my balcony. From now on, the light schedule in this diary will refer to the number of hours of direct, full sunlight she receives each day, rather than the total number of daylight hours. 📊 Excel sheet (full log with watering): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZzOFhRkeMzbzNMwsRgU6tikK327d4RQVsuh6pRR_ns/edit?usp=sharing

DuschkabinenGrow ⠀ 🗓️ Day: 21, Week: 3, Date: 09 July 2026, Germination: 16 June 2026 📥 Water (base): Dechlorinated tap water, pH ~7.5, Ca ~107 mg/L, Mg ~21 mg/L, EC 650 µS/cm 📝 Notes She has grown very nicely and already has several nodes. It looks like she is now getting ready to really take off. Next week, I will water once with nematodes and spray a little neem oil as a preventive measure. I have also already placed a yellow sticky trap to keep an eye on possible pests. You can clearly see how she is leaning toward the open side of the balcony, where she gets the most sun. This time, I do not only want to attach her to the bamboo stake. I also want to guide her slightly backwards, so she can grow a bit more open while still keeping the vertical structure. For my outdoor setup, that should work best. I also positioned the plant and the stake so that no shoot points straight toward the back of the balcony. Instead, the nodes sit slightly angled, which should be enough to guide the growth nicely toward the front. 📊 Excel sheet (full log with watering): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZzOFhRkeMzbzNMwsRgU6tikK327d4RQVsuh6pRR_ns/edit?usp=sharing

DuschkabinenGrow ⠀ 🗓️ Day: 28, Week: 4, Date: 17 July 2026, Germination: 16 June 2026 📥 Water (base): Dechlorinated tap water, pH ~7.5, Ca ~107 mg/L, Mg ~21 mg/L, EC 650 µS/cm 📝 Notes The weather has been nicely warm and sunny, with only a few cloudy moments here and there. So far, everything is going really well. I watered her once with a nutrient solution, but apart from that, I have kept it very simple. I also gently bent her slightly toward the back and removed the lowest rear shoot. The position is not absolutely perfect yet, so I might pull the stake out and adjust it again. But honestly, even like this, it already looks pretty good. The other plants on the balcony are also attracting more and more insects and pests now. Hopefully, the neem oil will be enough to keep everything under control. 📊 Excel sheet (full log with watering): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZzOFhRkeMzbzNMwsRgU6tikK327d4RQVsuh6pRR_ns/edit?usp=sharing

I am not sure yet if she will stay rather small or if she is simply moving incredibly fast, but I am really curious to see where this goes. The nutrient dose was a bit too much for her. Looking back, she probably would have been fine with around 0.5 ml/L. Her structure has developed quite nicely overall. I originally did not want to influence her this much, but so far the shape still looks good and should fit the balcony well. 📊 Excel sheet (full log with watering): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CZzOFhRkeMzbzNMwsRgU6tikK327d4RQVsuh6pRR_ns/edit?usp=sharing

@wolfvb, Thank you, I really appreciate that. I also checked out your diaries, and I have to admit I am a little jealous that you can grow such huge plants on your balcony. My neighbors would probably freak out immediately. That said, this genetics is completely stealth in terms of smell. In my diary “Balcony Plant #2”, week 6, you can see the side profile of the plant. It is pretty cool how she automatically adapts to the balcony and grows toward the open, sunny side. I am not sure if the platform allows links here, but this is the diary: growdiaries.com/diaries/308803-grow-journal-by-duschkabinengrow
