Bazooka_ Week 4 — Flower Week 2 (BT8–BT14):
Stretch Status:
Stretch complete — final height 102cm from 30cm at flip (3.4x). No room left above, light fully maxed out at canopy level. PPFD controller auto-regulating at 1150 µmol prevents burn despite minimal distance.
Light Changes (BT13):
UVA 365/385nm activated — running continuously during light phase. Slight leaf taco confirms correct intensity without damage.
730nm switched from EOD-only to continuous during light phase + 10min EOD — Emerson Effect now active. Safe since stretch is over.
Nutrients:
Tank change to bulking recipe at BT13. MR1 completely removed — no more vegetative N push. MR2 sole NPK base at 45ml/40L. Calgreen at 18ml maintaining 2.5:1 ratio per Metrop schema. EC measured: 1.76. Plant responding well, praying hard 30min after lights on.
Root Observation:
Root mass undersized for 102cm canopy — dried tips visible from previous off-time being too long. Off-time reduced from 480s to 400s. Roots healthy color, no rot, fine air roots present.
System:
PPFD controller set to 1150 µmol — auto-regulates regardless of distance. CO2 outlet relocated to canopy height for better distribution.
Environment:
RH adjusted to 55% day / 50% night. Temp stable 30°C day / 21-23°C night.
Defoliation:
First defoliation at BT12 — aggressive strip below SCROG net. All non-productive lower growth, shade leaves and small side branches completely removed (lollipop). Upper canopy left fully intact to maintain photosynthesis capacity for bud development. Plant showed no stress response — vigor continued immediately. Second defoliation of upper canopy planned for BT21 to improve airflow and light penetration to bud sites as they begin to swell.
Key Learning:
EC 1.4 at flip was too low for this genetics under CO2 1200ppm in HPA. Low osmotic resistance + hungry genetics = excessive cell elongation. Corrected to EC 1.83 during stretch. Next run: EC must reach 1.7-1.8 before flip.

Bazooka_ Week 5 — Flower Week 3 (BT15–BT21):
Bud Development:
Buds forming at every node, pistils everywhere, sites beginning to stack. Bud structure developing nicely across the canopy. Plant in top form — dark green healthy foliage, no deficiencies visible. Vigor remains extreme even in flower.
Height:
Final height settled at 102cm — no further vertical growth. Light panel completely maxed out at canopy level with minimal distance. PPFD controller maintaining 1150 µmol auto-regulated. No burn despite proximity.
Leaf Mass:
Plant producing extreme amounts of fan leaves — genetics combined with CO2 1200ppm and 1150 µmol driving aggressive vegetative output even in flower. Canopy became dense again within days after first defoliation at BT12. This vigor is a double-edged sword: massive photosynthesis capacity but constant risk of blocked bud sites and poor airflow. Requires more frequent defoliation than previous runs with other genetics under identical conditions.
Nutrients:
Same bulking recipe maintained: MR2 45ml + Calgreen 18ml (2.5:1 ratio). EC 1.76. Plant is happy — praying hard within 30 minutes of lights on, no signs of hunger or excess. Not changing what works.
Environment:
RH holding at 55% day / 50% night. Summer heat making night temperature management challenging but within range.
Defoliation:
Second defoliation at BT21 — upper canopy heavily thinned out. Extreme leaf regeneration since first defoliation at BT12 made this necessary. Large fan leaves blocking bud sites and restricting airflow between tops removed. Critical at this stage as buds begin to swell — dense canopy at 55% RH with summer temperatures is a direct Botrytis invitation. Productive sugar leaves near bud sites left in place. May need a third selective trim around BT35 if leaf mass continues at this rate.
UVA + 730nm:
Both running continuously since BT13. UVA producing slight leaf taco — optimal stress response triggering secondary metabolite and trichome production. Emerson Effect from 730nm boosting photosynthesis during light phase.
Root Update:
Off-time at 400s since BT13. Expecting improved root mass at next check (BT25). Shorter spray cycles giving dried root tips opportunity to branch and regenerate.
Outlook:
Bulk phase fully underway. Next 2-3 weeks are critical for bud mass accumulation. Possible third defoliation at BT35 depending on leaf regeneration. RH reduction to 50% planned at BT35. Tank recipe stays unchanged. Let the plant work.
