The lineage for this strain is as follows: Gold Star x Snow Leopard F3 (Both Bodhi genetics). The number 5 line is the Indica leaning F3 cross.
We moved these clones outside in the middle of May. They are of our Snow Angel #5 line, second phenotype. We are excited to see her in action outdoors after being selected during our indoor season.
Our grow medium consists of about 25 gal of medium, plants are allowed to root into the ground as well. The medium consists of sphagnum moss/perlite mix, worm castings (our own), seabird guano, langbeinite, fish bone meal, and lava rock.
We (this is a team of two growers looking over these) are happy the way the second phenotype of Snow Angel #5 is looking outdoors (open air greenhouse). We haven't been keeping track of water yet. We just hooked up a water tank to a drip line this weekend. They smell pleasant, are beginning to become more resinous and fruity. The branching isn't delicate, but it isn't what I would consider "strong". This week we will do some low stress training in hopes of getting her a little more stiff.
Snow Angel #5 is growing well. We are pleased with her rate of growth. This picture is of our 2nd Snow Angel #5, phenotype #2. This was done by accident, but you can see that they are both cloned from the same plant. The flower sites remain very close together, but are far enough apart to allow good airflow. John De Bong and I are both disabled, so we have decided to begin topping (2nd round) to make a total of 16 tops (goal). We will 'lollipop' everything below the 3rd flower site on each branch. We plan on scratching a mix of our own worm castings (light) and down to earth seabird guano, and langbeinite, followed by tea of the same.
The height is an estimate- I will be looking at it this weekend and doing an update for week 5. Got a little behind- pain condition and all. This week there is not much to report. The growth looks really good and we are noticing more red tips near the flower sites. We also scratched nutrients into the soil on 7/2.
Sorry I have not been keeping up. There has not been a lot of changes this week. On 7/9/19 we added bat guano fert and a little worm castings. We also did a soil test. The growth is great, this one is a little greener than the other. We are very happy with the growth considering we only use organic fertilizers (scratch).
Sorry for the delay! I haven't been able to journal as often as I would like to, but until now, there has not been a lot of changes (growth). We are pleased with it's indica height at this point and the internode length. It allows for just enough airflow but still giving a good tight bud structure. She is expressing red veins on the branching (soil tested, not a nutrient problem). She is still expressing a fruit smell, little on the rotten side :)
