MrLahey Today is day 7 after germination. Had some troubles getting seeds to germinate and my first two failed. I tried sowing those directly into soil at field capacity but I don’t think I had it warm and humid enough to ensure germination as neither seed popped after a week. Third time I put the seed between a couple of soaked cotton make up pads in a sealed Tupperware jar in my folding bread proofing box at 78 degrees and a taproot developed after only two days. I think going forward for future grows I might try that method again. Looking forward to this famous cultivar and I can’t wait to taste the terps eventually. This’ll be my fourth season/plant with this soil and the strong terps it made my chicken n’ waffles express I’m super excited to see how strong these blueberry terps will be in this soil!

MrLahey Today is day 14 after germination. I just finished pulling out some clover and transplanting the plant from the solo cup into the 20g fabric pot. I was fascinated and ecstatic with how much life is in this soil. It’s more like a terrarium almost than a garden or just a plant. When I pulled back some leaves to expose the top of the root ball there was a healthy population of different insects consisting of little itsy bitsy mites and more red wiggler worms than I was expecting. And there’s clearly a good fungal/mycelial network in the soil as evidenced by the coprinus (ink cap) mushroom. I thought it was a dead clover at first so I touched it and then felt the gel like ink transfer to my hand. So fascinating! 😀😀😀 This is my fourth grow cycle with this soil and I’m super excited for this grow with it because every successive grow has produced terpier and terpier results. I’m gonna let her grow for another week, probably top her then and then onto the scrog.
