ElCapitol Here we go π Single 42fastbuds Purple Lemonade RF3 Auto from their new trial packs. I'm not overly familiar with autos so I thought I'd try a multi strain auto grow and have a look at what I've been missing. Last time I grew out autos it was Lowryders, the OG back in the day. They were terrible π Prone to rot and no real sophistication to the high.
So, I picked some Barney's Farm and 42fastbuds strains, I had intended on running some Royal Queen but they had no offers on at the time. Maybe next time. It's a multi strain grow but I've segregated them for clarity.
So, germination. I like to keep it simple. Root riot cubes, heated propagator and a chopstick for pushing the seeds down around halfway into the cube I wear gloves at all times and everything is spotlessly clean. Propagation is at around 28c and took 2/3 days. I put 1 down for 1 up, 100% germination rate. My light is currently on 50% and around 2ft away. The propagators lid is misted up so that diffuses the light nicely.

ElCapitol Hardened them off by slowly opening vent in propagator lid over a day or so. Then once that was fully open I leave the lid on but raise it an inch or so off the base to allow more airflow. This helps harden them off slowly and a little breeze hitting them stops them getting too tall too fast. Day 6 after sprouting they go straight into an 11L pot filled with standard garden centre compost. It's probably a little hot for seedlings but they'll get over it.
Once they're in the pot I water a ring around the seedling and leave a gap of around 6 inches in the centre relatively dry. That helps stop damping off disease. They're quite vulnerable to it at this stage.
When watering in I added a very weak Canna Vega solution, just so they've got immediately available nutrients to help put put good roots into the fresh soil. Lights are at 50% power. Added Calmag to next watering, I always get early calcium deficiency in this compost.

ElCapitol Strong healthy growth with no issues, showing a little side branching early on. Started with light dose of calmag agent as I've soft water here and this will probably continue most of the grow. It's not expensive and I find it eradicates most issues before they start. This is the RF3 version I'm growing next to the older version. Interesting to note the RF3 is shorter with tighter internodal spacing already.

ElCapitol Amazing growth from last week, really explosive. Very nice shaped plant too, I like this one already :) Maybe my favourite so far.
Pistils showing so she's maturing fast. Hopefully get a bit more veg growth before flowering.
