I learned quite a lot this week. My adoptee has been under light 24 hours. I was told to do that where I purchased it. I began LST this week as well. I bought another plant of the same strain 5 days after the first plant. Great harvest? Of course it will be a chain of experiments and results. These are my first to grow. Today the bud tender told me to use the buckets from Home Depot or the local hardware store. Great idea!! No need to worry about the size of the bucket. The bucket is 5 gallons!
I'm at that jumping off point. What next? When I repot, what type of soil do I use? Is miracle grow flowering soil a good choice? One of the leaves on the newest plant is curling and dry. I didn't notice the curling until I bought it and looked at it in my home. What can I do about this?
I have a CO2 bag hanging in my grow tent. I don't have the exact dosage, sorry. We are in the flowering stage now. They are growing and looking ready. Bring on the harvest!! Okay, I'm not that silly. I know it will take awhile. Within the past three weeks they have been moved from closet to grow tent. They are also growing in a 5 gallon bucket now. I'm using Happy Frog soil by Fox Farms. I read on here during flowering they need more red/warm lights. I changed that over today. I also have a single full spectrum bulb above them about 18 inches.
I love watching these girls grow. It's exciting to see the progess. My granddaughters love the plants and call them pretty. I think they like the purple light most of all. I'm looking forward to letting them flower for about 4 more weeks. Is that too long? Does it really matter?
