Blackbird_diary These pictures cover the last few weeks, one part is harvested already but most is still on and doing fine! What an excellent year here to grow in western Europe, I have no mold so far, resin production is super high and the buds are thick, fat and the smell is really amazing! I grow 25 years this year and i never had a summer like this. The only bad thing about is that it’s difficult to slowly dry the buds… And what about these genetics… I already smoked from these, and its a true Jack with all its power and smell. The taste is already amazing, it’s that kind of strain you want to puff on every minute off the day. Vison seeds really kept the classic strain in this auto version. This strain still stands out and makes me think about the good old days in a Dutch coffeeshop somewhere late 90’s. Even when the wind blows in my garden and takes that wonderfull aroma with it, it reminds me on those days.. About the soil and feeding: I used soil form last year that was a mix off DCM soil for vegtables, bionova cocos, worm castings and perlite. This year I added worm castings and DCM organic fertilizer pellets. And just water… Only in week 6 I added some biobizz to give it a boost. 2 times.

Blackbird_diary A few weeks ago when it became humid again, I harvested these 2 ladies. 1 was ready, the other could have stayed a bit longer but it was the smartest choice to harvest them anyway. With these hard buds, I had very little left and now I haven't discovered any rot and I was ahead of the rain. The taste is delicious and the smell is increasingly citrus and pine but with the dominance of citrus. The smoke is rich and very complex but still needs to cure to become truly top-notch. The other plant was this one in the large pot and was actually finished. I harvested it in 2 parts with 1 week in between. The smell is heavy and fills the whole room immediately, it reveals her skunk background but the taste leans more towards a sweet silver haze. A scent and flavor that is strong and complex and will only get better in the curing process. Both plants are undeniably Jack Herer and come very close to the original and the clone that circulated in the Netherlands in the late 90s, early 2000s. A true old-school strain that does not fall short compared to contemporary strains! At least not for me ☺️ It takes me back to my youth and especially that is what I appreciate the most. Her effect can blow you away and bring you to a very trippy and active level until you are completely stoned. Worries slide off you and it brings you to a happy place until you are comfortably lying in bed asleep. It still lets you dream and stay in touch with yourself and even after a heavy day of smoking, you are back to being sharp in the morning after a cup of coffee. Something that can sometimes disappoint with modern strains or homemade hash. 🤪 The conclusion is that this was a real top summer that brought out the full potential of this genetics and rivals or even surpasses most indoor-grown weed in appearance, smell, and taste 🍀🌸🍀🌸🍀
