Strawberry Cola Sherbet

Blackbird_diary Seeded somewhere in may I guess, planted in the open ground in June and she took off like mad. If she had the space she could be bigger but in this short time I’m satisfied . The only feeding she got were some worm castings to start with and some DCM organic pellets for vegtables. She really stands out with 2m+ now and is just happy!

Blackbird_diary This week it rained quite a bit, unlike the dry months before. At this stage of flowering, it's not a disaster yet, but I'm hoping for a bit more sun in the upcoming month of September. The good news is that the soil is well soaked again and the plant looks very happy 😍

Blackbird_diary The weather was changeable this week, beautiful moments alternating with rain. The advantage is that I don't have to water and that we are only in week 3. What I do notice is that the flowers are really starting to change now and day by day you see them getting thicker. They are also already beautifully purple inside with a lovely red color from the outside. They are just doing fantastic 🤩

Blackbird_diary Week 4 is almost over and I'm happy with how everything is going. The flowers are developing nicely and are getting more purple. There's also a bit of resin starting to form in the flowers. The weather could be better, but it could also be a lot worse. We're halfway through flowering now, the crucial phase is coming up 🍀🙏🏼

Blackbird_diary I'm increasingly impressed by this strain. She's a sight to behold, the colors are beautiful, you can see them getting thicker every day, and while they won't be the biggest buds, they're already rock solid. Just 2 to 3 weeks to go after this week, hopefully she'll stay healthy and rot-free! The smell is subtle, a super sweet scent that sometimes reminds me of those little cola bottles. The aroma isn't overpowering and is anything but the typical weed smell so far. But that could change quickly once the resin production kicks into high gear…🍀💚🌸

Blackbird_diary Week 6 en ik ben nog veel meer onder de indruk van deze soort. Het is waanzinnig hoe goed ze het doet. In mijn 25 jaar kweken heb ik een soort als deze nooit tegengekomen en ik heb al pareltjes gehad. Nog 1, maximaal 2 weken te gaan zo lijkt wel en tot hiertoe ben ik nog maar 1 klein beetje rot tegengekomen die waarschijnlijk door een worm werd veroorzaakt. Ik hou mijn hart vast voor de laatste dagen van haar leven want het is al behoorlijk vochtig geweest maar voorlopig blijft ze zeer goed bestand tegen de regen en de wind. De harsproductie begint ferm toenemen, de toppen voelen keihard en plakkerig aan, de kleuren kan je niet vatten op een foto. Diep paars en rood-roze bloemen, om van te watertanden bij het zien alleen. De geur blijft echter zeer subtiel en uiterst discreet. Een geur die niet aan cannabis doet denken maar wel een zeer gelaagd en zoet terpenen profiel wanneer je over de toppen wrijft met vooral cola die de boventoon haalt. Een geur die zich niet verraad momenteel en met nog 1 week te gaan volgens Sweet zal dit dus wel nog meevallen. Ik had deze soort vorig jaar binnen en dat was heel mooie wiet met ongeveer hetzelfde geur en opbouw maar ze komt pas echt tot haar recht onder de zon in volle grond. Alle lof voor de veredelaars bij Sweet seeds van deze soort voor de uniforme zaden en de mooiste kleuren die ik ooit zag.
