This plant is a clone of my original candy kush that I just moved out doors, she begged for just over a month before having the space to move her into flower
She has been getting fed all in I've grow from npk industries along with calmag, b vital, enzymes and amino acids
Finally got cyco nutrients for bloom she got 1 feeding of it on day 6 flower
Will be feeding week 2 some time this weekend
Ph to 6.5
Recently got blue lab ph pen and reset media to find it was around 5.3
Increased ph to 6.5 and flushed with diluted nutes, measured 24 and 48 hours later to see media climbing back in range
First feeding was a 50/50 of the week 4 grow and week 1 bloom following the npk industries grow chart ratios for individual products
Second feeding 2 days later was with week 1 bloom ph high (as I tested inbetween this time)
Finally got my cyco platinum base, along with organic stimulants from npk industries
Officially part of the grow team and using a secret recipe so I will only be giving my base nutes
Enjoy the flowering process ! Be sure to follow for more upcoming plants in the next few weeks
She's increasing in size incredibly! I wanted to out another plant into flower but looking like we're running out of rooms
Media ph still too low for my liking
Typical increase in ph for feedings letting her dry out completely
Awesome bud development this week!
Ph hasn't gone up of the media, temporarily it did but after my last feeding the media was 5.5 24 hours later which isn't what I want to optimise this grow
Target of 6.0 2 days after feeding is still in the process
Did a good defoliation and lolipoping on 06/21/19
Some awesome growth so far this week everything's looking nice and green bug fan leaves taking in the light
Giving her 6.5 ph feed still to raise media ph
Slight defoliation and lolipoping when needed
Wanted to strip the plant this week but due to deficiency or toxicity I didn't want to effect the nutrient and water uptake
Gave a good flush at the beginning of week 4, she recovered nicely, media ph has gone back up, and buds continue to pack on weight
Defoliation once a week to get them lower buds in the light
She's Kickin ass can't wait for week 5
Had to transplant these girls on the 12th felt like they needed some new root growth with all the bud development
Into 7 gal fabric pot they went added some bloom microbes from npk To help
Brown dry roots when I transplanted.. could explain why ph was so low in the coco, hoping for some better Groth soon
Light feeding on transplant, will water with cal mag next
Dark green shiny leaves with rust spots developing.
Same problem with leaves continues, completely dry from last transplant,
fed her with some extra potassium and dialed base back to 3/4 strength
Looking forward to week 6 to see if anything changes
I'll be watering with cal mag, amino acids and enzymes only next watering when dry
Rust spots continue to develop turning into yellow blotches while a few lower leaves die off
What will happen next..
Stay tuned
From the looks of the progression I have a boron deficiency...
Cause.. I believe due to underwatering
Other deficiency due to insufficient run offgave her a good flushing last night with nutrients and microbes/enzymes/amino acids
This should cure her up giving her what she need
I will be watering every 2-3 days, if it doesn't need to be watered I will reduce the amount and use 50/50 tap and RO water
With added cal mg, amino acids, and enzymes to break down and chelate the calcium in the soil, perhaps add a bit of B vatimin / magnesium sulfate
SOLUTION AT LAST
Well after further research it seems like I may have been adding slightly too much calcium to the feedings along with in sufficient run off causing salt build up
Locking out primary nutrients but uptaking plenty of calcium ph properly for calcium uptake
Too much calcium eventually aided in the boron deficiency as boron is a micro nutrients only way to not have enough is to lock it out...
So much better ! Finishing week 6 strong heading into week 7 going with 50% strength nutes with the enzyme/amino/fluvic top waterings in between
Gave her a final defoliation to let all the buds get some lights and remove all over lapping leaves
Going to start a alien orange Congolese diary shortly I'm very happy with her and wish I started back in veg
She's putting on lots of weight, buds are starting to flop may have to tie them up shortly
Been giving her 50% strength nutes lately to reduce salt build up
Going to start the flush on Thursday for her as she should be finishing up rather quick being an express pheno
Didn't want to switch to flush right away and starve the plant so tapering it off
On other note the Alien orange congoley is just taking off, super excited to do a journal on it when I get time
Flush has begun, giving her microbes and molasses ph to 6.0 for the next 2 weeks
Gave her one last dose of 25% strength nutes fluvic, cane molasses, and yucca +microbes
From now till harvest she gets just plain ph tap water
Amber trichomes are already showing so count downs on and fade begins
Gave her a good flushing with the 25% strength nutes, then watered with that regiment 2 more times
Just waiting on the fade to happen she's holding off and trichomes are turning amber pretty quick, don't want a bad taste so will probably flush with 10 gallons straight ph water when she's dry to get rid of all salt build up so she can eat her leaves
It will probably flush out microbial life but no need for them at this stage as they go dormant by now in nature
They have done their job with the finishing stage of this grow excited to get to harvesting soon
She hasn't drank much which worries me at this stage where she should be packing on the stank and getting even more dense but been slow drinking
Little top watering before lights went off to keep the top wet
She's taking a while to finish up, start of flush was good now near the end it still hasn't faded quite the way I wanted to
I know deficiency occurs at this time but not happy with necrosis
It should be a slight fade all around, instead staying rather green and dieing in spots
She hasn't gotten any nutrients in well over a week now but only watered a few times since
Final week! she will be harvested day 65 not much difference in growth but the smell gets better and better every day !
Really dense buds and lots of weight
Excited to harvest and smoke
Chopped down on day 65 ! Just before lights came on
Seeing super dank can't wait to cure her up
Few days into the drying period now and she just smells better and better and better every, unfortunately i wont be able to get a dry weight before the competition is over nor true taste on the buds but so far so good
popcorn buds taste a little green still but really sweet, and a very sedative effect after exhale
Hmm they do look good and transplanting so far into flowering seems harsh to me but root issues are also no good ..good looking plants I love the company's strain list royal queen seeds ,I've tried to get some here but they won't ship to Canada lol ,mind if I ask where do you call home..
@Cannibalgardens, that's the way to look at it :P anything is possible! , and unfortunately sometimes you gotta pay to get the strains you really want lol ... always love freebies tho
@Shugz_Nugz,ya u would obviously know better I was just shocked but I'd handled properly anything is honestly possible really.. it sucks when they have an issue and you can't figure it out completely I know .. true both seed bank I'll have to try them out was gonna get some freebies but they won't ship to Canada directly I guess oh well one day lol thanks again
@Cannibalgardens, it felt harsh transplanting but i just couldnt get the root zone to increase in ph, was a easy transplant and they haven't stopped growing, although candy kush keeps getting rusty spots and brown spots on the leaves
the other plant I haven't been doing a Diary on but she was looking much better in the root zone, week 3 of flower for transplant so far so good
Im from ontario, Try True north SB they have royal queen seeds
@Cannibalgardens, Right! lol thanks for the comment brotha! 👊 i could easily train the plant to the entire 4x4 she just took off even with low soil ph, buds have developed so much better then the last grow! love it
@Cannibalgardens, I sure hope so! I have the Mother outside at a friends house and its 3 times the size lol Crazy Strong Genetics in this one Im curious to see how this Express gene Really works
curious if anyone else has had rusting happen in late flower? i had calcium toxicity which lead to other deficiencies in my opinion... what do you think from weeks 5 - 10
