Tropical Jam 🍓 Silent Seeds

The_Kitchen_Raccoon Hi guys, and welcome back ! 😎 For this run, we’re taking a closer look at a very interesting release from Silent Seeds: Tropical Jam. And I have to say, I’m genuinely excited to try this limited edition. There’s something really intriguing about the genetics behind this one. Tropical Jam comes from a cross of Tropicanna Cookies and an elite Animal Face Mints selection, with Silent Seeds putting a lot of work into the selection process behind the cultivar. What really caught my attention is the combination of flavours they’re aiming for, passion fruit and guava jam, citrus, Kush and a touch of mint. That sounds like a seriously interesting terpene profile, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it expresses itself. And then there’s the Silent Seeds connection to Dinafem. For anyone who remembers Dinafem, Silent Seeds is particularly interesting because the company was founded by people with extensive experience from the old Dinafem team, and Silent Seeds describes itself as the successor to Dinafem, continuing part of that genetics and breeding heritage. So, for me, there’s a little bit of curiosity there too. I can’t wait to see what the people who helped build that Dinafem legacy have carried forward and what they’re bringing to these newer, more exotic genetics. You can give a strain a name, you can give it a lineage, and you can put all the numbers on the packet… but ultimately, the plant tells you the rest. That’s what I’m most interested in with Tropical Jam. I want to see how she expresses herself, the structure, the vigour, the flower development, the resin production and, most importantly, where that tropical terpene profile ultimately takes us. Silent Seeds themselves report that they observed three main phenotypes, with around 80% showing purple coloration toward the final weeks, so it’ll be particularly interesting to see what kind of expression we end up with. New genetics are always exciting, but a limited-edition release like this makes it that little bit more special. And with the Dinafem heritage behind Silent Seeds, I’m especially curious to see what’s been carried forward and what’s been reinvented for this new generation.
