ODNT first trick

Wow! Could not ask for a better introduction to autoflowering cannabis. It was fascinating to see it grow. I had a very mild run in with some inchworm type caterpillars, but other than that it was some good organic in the potting mix, some liquid kelp and molasses. I waited for a nice day to harvest with some good mild dry breezy days in the forecast. I hung it up after a plain water soak just to loosen any dust or remnants of insecticidal soap I had sprayed three weeks before. Once it was dry to touch I covered the hanging plant with a large paper bag to keep any dew off at night and to give some protection from drying too quickly. It hung outside for five days. Rain threatened on day six so I took the buds off the stem and brought it in to a humidity controlled area and kept it in the bag which I left open for two days and then folded close for five more. I opened the bag and gently stirred the buds once a day. Trimming was a bit more challenging than other varieties I’ve trimmed dry because the sugar leaves were incredibly sticky. Got a nice little ball of scissor/ finger hash to try eventually. Final weight going into the jars was 75 grams of bud and 37 grams of leaf and popcorn. The smell has evolved a bit but is still a sharp green fruit smell. But as I was trimming I kept getting some woodsy tones as well. Most of this will go to tincture and maybe some brownies. I plant to try a dry ice extraction as well . This is medicine for my wife who has never used pot until recently when she was diagnosed with a serious illness that comes with a number of painful side effects from the medication. She has tried some 1:1 store bought weed in a tincture but the taxman in Canada gives us a nice incentive to try growing. Anyway if it works for her I am sure I will be growing this strain again and will likely try some other Sweet Seed strains as well. I’m truly happy with the plant.
