Fall 2026 Grow

InsideAz Time to get growing again, I’ve taken a 3-4 month break over the summer and feel focused on what I’m doing again. I’ll be changing the way I feed the plants, previously I used “organic” powder slow- release fertilizers. I’ll be changing to bi-weekly teas that are more focused towards the microbes and nutrient replenishing. Hoping to improve my knowledge about how microbes affect and run the show when it comes to living soil. Before it was what I would call “guess work”. This way I know exactly what is going into the plants and hopefully improve the smoke flavor. Only 4 plants this grow I want to maximize each plant without overcrowding the space. I’ll be paying close attention to the environment and KEEPING THE TENT CLOSED. First week went very well with environmental conditions. Germination: Paper towel in open ziplock bag 8/28-8/30 Week1: 8/31-9/6 Planted in soil 8/30 Soil mixture: FoxFarm Ocean forest Potting Soil (1.5cu bag) Fox Farm Happy Frog Potting Soul (2cu bag) Wiggle Worm Earth Worm Castings (5%-10% soil) All seeds popped out of soil by themselves within 2 days. No added fertilizers during the start this grow, FoxFarm soil should have plenty to get these seedlings going and then I will be top dressing with Gaia Green in a month unless I find more natural nutrients. Ultimately I would like to phase out fertilizers whether they be “organic” or not. The best/ most flavorful buds I’ve ever smoked were made from all natural nutrient sources. Environment is as described in notes and will be updated weekly. Dechlorinated water for 24-28 hours Ph between 6.5-6.8 ish using citric acid before watering Light is at 30%

InsideAz Week 2: 9/7-9/13 *GENERAL PLANT NOTES* It was a slow week in the visual growth department as the plants start spreading their roots throughout the soil. ——-The Pineapple UpsideDown Cake and Dante’s Inferno strains have had the slowest start with the shortest visual growth so far but they look a nice happy green color. Towards the end of the week they started catching up. ——-The Trop Cherry had some fast growth this week but started to look a lime green color towards the end of the week. As of 9/13 (picture day) it’s regaining some normal looking color. No tea this week, I figure it’s too early to try and feed. The plants are still working into the soil and have stems about as thick as toothpicks. I’ll take week 1 as a “germination” week in my mind since not much growth has changed and that’s realistically what’s happening under the soil..germination. That’ll probably push the veg cycle back a week, goal is 7 weeks total now. Next week I plant to start giving all natural organic teas on a 2 week regimen. It will be a gradual feeding regimen so I don’t overdo it because this is my first time using this method as their only source of food. Ingredients will be listed and easily attainable. In the future I hope to swap some of these ingredients for more locally sourced sources of nutrients or just make my own compost. These the results will also be documented, I need to check the ph of the runoff water throughout the week when the plants need heavier waterings. *ENVIRONMENT NOTES* Light still at 30% 52” above leaves Environment has been updated in notes/conditions Water every 2-3 days with dechlorinated tap water Ph to 6.5-6.8 before watering with citric acid. Just watering them enough to keep the soil wet, not much bottom drip. *VPD NOTES* Towards the end of this week I realized I was falling out of my vpd range. Even with the temp at 73f and 65%humidity the VPD was approaching .8 when the ideal range would be about .6-.65. Looking at my options, either changing temp or humidity I decided to up the humidity because only a 5% change in humidity would give me a .14 change in VPD which leaves the VPD at .65 in the tent.—(More power friendly option) Alternatively, I could’ve lowered the temp to 68f and kept the 65%humidity to achieve a .66 VPD—(not power efficient). Next weeks environment conditions will reflect this change if I can manage the humidity consistently through the week. *FINAL WEEK NOTES* No wonder the Pineapple UpsideDown Cake and Dante’s Inferno were having a slow week, with a VPD range closer to late veg than propagation/early veg I’m sure that’s stressing their cycle. Sure, root growth is happening but you can just tell one or two plants is stunted for a couple days. I’m looking forward to playing with the feeding regimen I have planned and testing the results. -Really going to be tweaking on the vpd this time

InsideAz Week 3: 9/14-9/20 Tea given on 9/20: *36-38hours max brew time* —4 Gallons Dechlorinated tap water —Wiggle worm Organic Worm castings- 4cups —Organic Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses-2 tablespoons —Down To Earth Kelp meal- 4 tablespoons ish Ph was 7.2 before giving to plants—no citric acid used. I will be measuring the runoff water ph next week and adjusting the water ph if necessary *GENERAL PLANT NOTES* The plants did well this week, growing a few nodes taller and thickening up the main colas nice (: . I’m implementing some low stress training towards the end of this week with the hopes to strengthen those colas a little more before they get some more height. —Pineapple UpsideDown Cake is still a short but is keeping up with the node count. I think she’ll just be a shorty, definitely will take it easy on the low stress training to avoid stunting this plant in any way. Don’t want it to be too small in comparison to the rest of the grow later on. Also had the first set of “3-leaf nodes” grow with one fan leaf having 4 petals. Never seen this before but it happened on this plant and the Dante’s Inferno. —Dante’s Inferno is keeping up height wise and showing some farther node spacing, this is obviously just an early veg assumption but I like to keep track of these characteristics so I can catch environmental and growing needs for different genetic early on based on their behavior and see if that tracks as the plants get older ——Trop Cherry Og R1 is going growing fast! She got a bit more of an aggressive low stress training this week in comparison to the other plants. The lime green color from last week has faded into a healthier looking green. Maybe it found the nitrogen it needed haha. This strain says it’s a regular seed in the diary but its packaging says they are feminized. —— Sinmint cookies is looking just fine, not a lot of notes for this plant just waiting to see how she does. It’s my last Sinmint cookies seed, first harvest it was an amazing smoke and big producer. 2nd harvest messed it up and it hermaphed. Crossing my fingers for this last one. *ENVIRONMENT NOTES* Light increased to about 30% towards the end of the week. Roughly sitting 48-50” above the tops leaves. Forgot to gradually increase through the week. But I will next week, hoping to jump up to about 40% this week and close to 50% the following week Fans are still halfway up in the tent, trying not to cause any wind stress on these young plants. Just watering them enough to keep the soil wet, not much bottom drip. *VPD NOTES* Got the vpd dialed in this week. Mostly holding 72f and 70%rh with slight variations. I’ll try to keep this pretty consistent throughout veg and allow the humidity to drop to about 65 at the lowest. *FINAL WEEK NOTES* Excited to see how the plants react to the tea given on 9/20. No other nutrients have been given except the natural stuff in the formfarm soil. The tea this week is intended to feed the plants for 2 weeks and they will be given another with similar but ingredients. Hope I can dial this way of feeding in and get the end result I’m looking for. Next week should be light work
