The girls are now settled into their pots, looking healthy, happy, and ready to begin the journey. Current environment: 🌡️ 24°C 💧 65% RH 📈 VPD: 1.05 kPa 💡 LED: 40% For the coming week, they’ll be kept on water only while they establish themselves, no need to push nutrition at this stage, the priority is a smooth transition, healthy rooting, and steady early growth. The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Week 2 of the Barney's Zillions grow ! Another smooth week in the books. Everything has been progressing exactly as planned, and the girls are looking happy, healthy, and full of vigour. 😎💚 I’ve now introduced root booster to the feeding regime to support continued root development and help build a strong foundation for the vegetative phase ahead. The girls are now under the Lumatek Zeus Pro 1000w. Current environment : 💡 LED: 25% intensity 💨 VPD: 1.05 kPa The plants are responding really well to the conditions, with healthy growth and plenty of vigour. At this stage, there’s not much else to report and honestly, that’s exactly how I like it. When the plants are happy and the environment is doing its job, there’s no need to overcomplicate things. Next week should be a little more interesting once they’ve settled into their new home and started taking advantage of the additional space. The_Kitchen_Raccoon Welcome to Week 3 of the Barney’s Zillions grow ! 😎 Another week completed and everything is progressing nicely. The girls are looking happy, healthy, vigorous, and full of life, with steady development across the board. They’re still receiving Root Booster at 4 ml/L, which has been working well as they continue building a strong and healthy root system. This week brings the next important stage of the grow: the girls will be transplanted into their final 10 L pots, filled with Soma’s Sacred Living Soil. From that point forward, the plan is to keep things as natural and soil-focused as possible, providing water and compost tea only and allowing the living soil to do the heavy lifting throughout the remainder of the cycle. I’m looking forward to seeing how the Barney’s Zillions responds once fully established in the living soil and given the opportunity to really stretch her roots. - LED intensity: 25% - VPD: 1.05 kPa Everything is looking nicely balanced at the moment, and the plants are responding accordingly. The_Kitchen_Raccoon Week 4 | Barney’s Zillions Grow 😎 Welcome to Week 4 of the Barney’s Zillions grow! 💚 Everything has been progressing smoothly, and both ladies have now been transplanted into their final pots, filled with Soma’s Sacred Living Soil. As the transplant took place only yesterday, they’re showing a slight, temporary droop while adjusting to their new environments. This is not unexpected following a recent transplant, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on them over the next couple of days as they settle into their new homes. Current environment: 💡 LED intensity: 50% 🌡️ VPD: 1.04 kPa With both ladies in their final pots and everything progressing as planned, we’re moving into the next stage of the grow. The_Kitchen_Raccoon Barney’s Zillions | Week 5 — Final Week of Veg 😎 Welcome to week 5, the final week of vegetative growth for the Barney’s Zillions run ! Another week of steady progress, with the girls looking healthy, vigorous and full of life. The plants are responding well to the Living Soil, showing great vitality and what looks to be a promising start to the next stage of the grow. This week, they received an additional round of compost tea alongside their regular root booster, continuing to support root development and overall plant health as we approach the transition into flower. The plan is to flip to 12/12 next Wednesday, marking the beginning of the flowering phase. Until then, we’ll keep things steady and let the plants continue doing their thing. For this run, I’ve deliberately kept the approach as natural as possible , no topping, no LST, just allowing the plants to express their natural structure and genetic traits. The goal is to observe how these genetics develop without training or major intervention. Sometimes, letting the genetics speak for themselves is the most interesting part of the journey. LED intensity: 50% VPD: 1.04 kPa Everything is looking on track as we prepare for the transition into flower. Excited to see how the girls develop over the coming weeks ! The_Kitchen_Raccoon Week 6 | Barney’s Zillions 😎 Welcome to Week 6 of the Barney’s Zillions grow ! Another week of smooth progress, and they’re looking fantastic. Vigorous, healthy, and full of life, they’re responding beautifully to the Living Soil, developing a lovely structure and showing all the signs of happy, thriving plants. 🌱 Last Sunday, they officially made the transition to 12/12, marking the beginning of the flowering phase. The first signs of stretch are already appearing, and it’s time to watch their structure evolve as they enter this exciting next chapter. I’ll be back in a few days with the first dedicated flowering update, so stay tuned ! 👀 Current grow parameters: LED intensity: 75% VPD: 1.19 kPa Everything is looking dialled in, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they develop over the coming weeks. The_Kitchen_Raccoon Day 1 of Flower | Barney's Zillions 😎 Just over a week since the flip, and they’re officially showing their first pistils ! The transition into flower is underway, with the initial stretch kicking in and the canopy looking vibrant, vigorous, and full of life. 🌱 This week was all about fine-tuning the environment and keeping things dialled in: LED intensity set to 75%, with lamp height adjusted to suit the canopy. Watering frequency reduced to encourage a more effective dry-back between waterings. A fresh serving of compost tea to support soil biology and overall plant vitality. Dehumidifier introduced to bring relative humidity down slightly and maintain a more controlled environment. - LED intensity: 75% - VPD: 1.4 kPa So far, they’re looking happy, healthy, and full of potential. Now it’s all about maintaining environmental stability, observing their response, and letting the flowering cycle unfold. The coming weeks should be an exciting part of the journey !
