Still no smell, rock hard buds. Got a couple clones off of her to super crop at beginning of this week. Pulled her out today to put the clones in. She sat for two days in dark then cut down. Had almost no smell until now (3rd week of curing) and has a unique smell like a strong sweet musk, sweet earthy taste. And almost two different buzzes, a nice cerebral euphoric high for an hour and then nap time. Very smooth smoke but expands so much it gives you that tickle and makes you cough if you take large hits. Overall very happy, strain was as advertised. Just wish taste was more fruity.
Growing went better than expected, very tough plant, can handle lots of stress well. Buds are the densest I've ever had, if I drop one in a plastic container it sounds like a rock. Trichomes are so large when I was trimming my fingers didn't get sticky but looked like there were salt grains all over them. Smoke is smooth with sweet earthy taste, no smell on this strain until after curing, then it's a sweet pungent musk that is totally different than anything I've had. Buzz is also unique, almost like two different highs, first hour is cerebral and euphoric, more talkative and after that it's nap time. But a great strain. I have started a new diary with my supercropped clone from this plant which is growing pretty quickly. Hopefully it's half as good as it's mother.
So this is my first photo period plant grow only done autoflowers for past few years consistently got 4oz every 2.5 months with autos. I was hoping for quite a bit more for almost 4 months grow time. Is that average yield got good grow or can I expect yields to be higher once I get better at growing photoperiod plants? Will a clone yield higher? Will find out soon enough.
i think the most important factor determining the yield is the vegetation time, maybe you switched it a little bit too early? and.. by looking at the trichome pictures, which are very nice, maybe you could have let it stand a week longer, when I look at the first picture I would say.. maybe even two weeks.
the clone should yield identical to the mother plant, depending on training techniques and vegetation time.
Enjoy your smoke 😋
@@@Spaceman, thank you for your advice. I will make sure to let the clone veg for a while, just can't go too long as my grow area is quite small, 2x2. And I think you're right I could have let it go a little longer, at least a week or more but there were just a couple of trichomes turning Amber on the top buds and I was told to cut it down as soon as you see any Amber but after further research I found that to be false. Already another diary going on the clone and she is already almost the size that this plant was when I switched to to flower, hopefully bigger yield, with the same nice dense buds!
@GreasyLuigi, i used a 400 watt hps on 50% power for a 2x2 grow box. Used to run it full power but it was just too much, started getting light burn on the tops.
