AlterKiffer In the summer, I had the chance to try Dante's Inferno (the Miles High Dave #8 Cut) and was thrilled. So, I went on the hunt for seeds. At some point, I stumbled upon Enigma Genetics' version of the DI and spontaneously decided to go for it, even despite the note that their version may differ from the "original." I'm curious, especially since I can find very little information about the breeder online. Grow reports are also hard to come by, not just for the DI, but for the other five genetics that Enigma offers. Enigma Genetics isn't even listed in the breeder list, which only piqued my curiosity even more! After I placed the first seed to germinate in a damp kitchen towel, nothing happened for four days. Impatient as I am, I thought it would be a good idea to put the nut in a glass of water, and just in case it was a "dud," I added a second, fresh seed for safety. After two days, both seeds showed minimal signs of cracking the shell, and to protect them from drowning, I took them out of their pool and placed them back in paper towels for another two days. The photo shows the first little nut. Since I had prepared a 55L felt pot with a substrate/HolidayGrow mix, as well as an initial inoculation with nematodes for fruit fly prophylaxis, I decided to plant both seedlings in the pot. We'll see in the next few days if both will take. If they both develop well, I might fill my square meter sooner than expected. Right now, the pot is still under a smaller lamp (320W at 50%) in the grow tent. Once my autoflower run in the big tent is finished (in about two weeks), the Inferno will move in, and the net will be installed. Until then, I'll think about whether and how often I will top and train the plant(s), with my goal being to utilize the area of my 1x1 meter grow tent as effectively as possible.

AlterKiffer I added some BioTabs "Startrex" and "Mykotrex" as a starter aid when watering after planting the seeds since I still had some left. It definitely won't hurt. Since the substrate is pre-fertilized, I now have a good 14 days to decide on a fertilization program. In parallel runs, I'm currently testing the BioTabs scheme; I've used BioBizz so far. I think I'll test a third product for comparison, possibly a mineral fertilizer from a friend's stash that I still have here and with which he achieved very good results. I mixed the substrate again with about 20% HolidayGrow Hydrogel, which has proven itself in the parallel grows. I could easily stay away for 4-5 days without worrying too much about watering, and with larger and sturdier plants, even up to a week. And with my tried-and-true Floragard substrate, it creates a fluffy, loose, fragrant mixture, with which I, unlike the BioBizz LightMix, have no problems with waterlogging, dry spots, and fruit flies. In combination with a felt pot, it's an absolute "No Brainer" for me, especially since both the substrate and HolidayGrow are enriched with Trichoderma, and the gel is additionally supplied with CalMag. According to DryFerm, the gel lasts up to 6 years before it breaks down into naturally biodegradable substances, so it can be reused over and over again. Additionally, it stores not only water but also nutrients and oxygen, which is supposed to save both water and fertilizer. I can say more about that after completing my ongoing test runs. Edit: I just finished sharing the entry and went to check again, and lo and behold: No. 2 is also stretching its little head out! I'm excited!

AlterKiffer Towards the end of the 2nd week after planting the germinated seeds, the little ones are slowly picking up speed, currently measuring about 4 cm. In the last 2 years, I've mostly grown Autoflowers, so I need to get used to the photoperiodic speed again and make sure I don't get too impatient...😂 I haven't found the tab that you need to pull to speed things up yet. If anyone knows where it is... I would appreciate any tips! 😉😄 The "HolidayGrow" gel seems to be amazing; aside from occasionally moistening the substrate surface, I haven't watered yet. When I feel a few centimeters into the substrate, it's still loose and fluffy and moist. But only at the end will I draw a line under it, and then I'll be able to make a direct comparison between the product's promises and reality, but I'm pretty optimistic.
