jujulien I germinated two seeds using the 24-hour glass of water method, followed by the paper towel method. One seed sprouted pretty quickly, but the other struggled a bit, so I carefully helped it out of its shell using nail clippers and tweezers. And then it was off! :)

jujulien One plant is about a week ahead in germination, but the one on the left, which sprouted first, looks very vigorous and is growing fast!

jujulien I wasn’t home for 7 days, so I don’t have any photos for the second week of vegetation. The automatic watering system is doing its job! :)

jujulien Big surprise when I got back from vacation! One of the plants, which is a week ahead of the other, has grown absolutely huge and quite dense. The smaller one is progressing at its own pace, and I’m looking forward to seeing if it experiences the same growth spurt as the first one.
This week, I added two BioTabs tablets to each pot, placed 5–10 cm away from the plants, along with 1 g of Bactrex mixed into 500 ml of water per pot, applied around the base of the plants.
I also took the opportunity to rotate the plant on the left to optimize the available space for its development. The light intensity has been increased to 80% of the 200-watt output. The reservoir was topped up with an additional 10 liters of water, bringing the total to 15 liters, and I also added 2 cm of soil to each pot.
Temperatures are staying around 22–24°C during the day and dropping to 18–20°C at night.
Beautiful little plants. You're off to a great start ;-) The seeds were too fresh and hadn't had time to properly cure. That's why they were tricky to germinate. I love the super broad leaflets!
They can be tricky to germinate, but the 24-hour soak in water (no longer), followed by the paper towel method in a warm environment with a little water and a tiny bit of BioBizz rhizotonic, is a technique I use almost every time. I very rarely have seeds that fail to germinate! :)
