Grimgrows OK folks here we go again with a new genetic, Gary sherbert! If you've been following along last grow was the lemon paya and lemon mandarine which was absolutely beautiful however the veg was longer than I liked to fill the 4x4 so this time we are trialling 3 plants per bed. To get the bed ready for sowing i chopped the previous girls removed existing mulch added fresh fan leaves to mulch, topdressed with 300g of ecothrive regen and 1 pint of worm castings with white shark mycos added then covered with the mulch and watered in with an aerated water I a pump sprayer. The moisture was kept consistent for 2 weeks then I made my planting pockets of biobizz lightmix which where dug in and mounded up to the hight of the mulch as its a thick old layer now consisting of past cover crops, barley straw, cammabis fan leaves and mulched cannabis stems. Seeds where added and watered then covered with domes. 3 days later and 2 beautiful seedlings germinated, 3rd is alive and has a 4mm root but after a week I've planted another seed as I no longer trust in the vigour of the one I Initially planted. Shouldn't be to much of an issue as we are trellis growing and doing at least one round of topping so everything will get balanced out. Thanks for joining me again on another soil growing journey πŸ™

Grimgrows After one week we are where we need to be, we finally have 3 plants! I sowed another seed on Saturday morning so 3 days later (yesterday) I could finally feel on track with this experiment. Vpd is kept around 0.7 kpa and I've just been misting the mulch layer to keep the microbiology happy. I won't be running cover crops this time as the mulch is too thick and it has prevented me from going low till rather than no till. Basically I prefer the freedom to pull up mulch, scratch in topdress and then replace mulch layer. Unfortunately cover crops stop this and the dense scrog type grows tend not to allow enough light to penetrate for decent cover crop growth. Here's hoping our little one has her dancing shoes on and plays catch up with her sisters in a timely manner 🀣 never mind if not all things will be equalised in the first top and subsequent training. Grimgrows Not much to report. I'm daily filling humidifier to acheive vpd of 0.8kpa. Apart from daily misting the mulch layer the bed has gotten 2l of water from the pump sprayer and the soil probe sensor is reading 37% moisture at 8 inch depth. Dli is 16 and plants are responding well. Thanks for reading πŸ™

Grimgrows Topped yesterday and just been riding out at 36% soil moisture with little dry backs. Vpd 0.95. Not sure if I'm keeping the small one will decide after another week. Had some heat issues due to fault jn exhaust and was riding high (29Β°c) which stressed them but we are all good now and where we need to be. Thanks for reading πŸ™

Grimgrows What a week in the grow. One of the girls started starving for magnesium and another curled right up so I had to get thinking. I foliar fed ome algamic amd activera from biobizz for stress at lights out. They perked up but the leaf curl qas the same amd the other was still starving for magnesium. I started looking around in the bed and realised I'd planted her inches away from the recent stump harvested 6 weeks earlier, that was the culprit! So I went in at night removed the stump an and did something that felt violent, I dug her up and moved her into a hole dug further away dusted with white shark mycos. She spent 4 days under a cheese cloth recovering in the shade looking droopy but she's finally coming round despite losing a good few roots. Now for the leaf curling in the other. I had thought heat but since it was only her showing symptoms and she was closest to the fan I guessed she was sensitive even though the fan was on the lowest setting. I moved the fan to blow from above and she flattened out. I set up the drip system and it runs 1 l per day at lights on and ive topped up watering with pump sprayer. I administered 5l of myco tea with 1m/l of biobizz algamic, activera and bioheaven yesterday and the girls responded well. I feel we are getting somewhere finally. Smallest plant got topped acidentaly while dealing with a ventilation catastrophe but I was going to do it anyway. Once in awhile a grow like this comes to test us 🀣 Thanks for reading πŸ™
