iirky day 72 Gorilla Z is in the front. Huge yellowing in upper part, looking like sensitivity to light, high vpd, or Ca bottleneck ...or something different :D Long, skinny, hairy colas, but they smell fantastic!

Happy Harvest Day!

Freebie seed. Kind of a sensitive plant, but also vigorous and very stretchy. I was lucky to get an oldscool Grapefruit pheno with sharp terp profile. 100% nostalgia. Very smelly. Very addictive Unfortunately, the buds are hairy, airy and skinny..

iirky Day 95 Gorilla Z was a big disappointment for me. She started off really well and was my favorite early on, but the buds ended up looking underdeveloped and airy. They never really bulked up. I wanted to let her go a bit longer, but the trichomes were already amber and starting to degrade. In my opinion, Gorilla Z has nothing to do with Zkittlez. Years ago I grew the "original" Grapefruit from Dinafem, and this plant reminded me of it quite a bit. Grapefruit also produced long, airy, hairy buds, tons of pistils and very little calyx development. Despite that, it yielded well and had a truly unmistakable aroma. Somewhere between citrus, grapefruit and maybe pineapple, very sharp and intense. It was such a specific terp profile that it’s hard to compare it to anything else. Ever since then, I’ve just called that smell ā€œGrapefruit,ā€ even though it doesn’t really smell like the actual fruit to me. As far as I know, the true origin of that Grapefruit is unknown, but it traces back to a clone-only genetic from British Columbia in the ’90s. Grapefruit is one of the grandparents of the Gorilla Z. And terp-wise, Gorilla Z is 100% Grapefruit to me. Or better say, upgraded autoflower version of it. It’s actually the most aromatic autoflower I’ve grown so far. Grapefruit has been on my bucket list for years, so I definitely didn’t expect a freebie Gorilla Z seed from Fast Buds to randomly tick that box for me. :)
