Kali_flauer Hello again and welcome to an unexpected journey with a few random crosses. First, some background regarding what's going on.
After my previous diary creating several crosses, I had a ton of seeds that seemed like they were not likely to germinate. About 50 by my best guess. Just to see what would happen, I put all 50 on a wet paper towel on my seedling mat. Within 24 hours, about 8 were showing taproots, which was completely unexpected! They all got mixed so I don't know who is who, but I picked the 4 healthiest looking seeds and put them into small pots under a low powered light. Somehow, all 4 made it, but it gets a little crazier from there. I'll continue in the next journal entry (no pics from the germination process. I didn't think any would make it đ)

Kali_flauer Hello again and welcome to the first week of updates! I'll continue from the previous entry.
There isn't much documentation during the germination process, because I simply did not think they would survive part 2; the 100F° heat wave combined with complete neglect for 4 days. The pictures are from when I came home and was shocked to find 4 very healthy plants still thriving and growing. The journey is far from over however.
Next week, they will have slightly better environmental conditions, but they will be neglected for 5 consecutive days instead of 4. If they can survive the second of these two challenges, then they have certainly earned their right to life đŞ. Hopefully this is a journal I continue to update, but we'll see what happens next week. Thanks for checking this out, and hopefully I have good news at the next update!

Kali_flauer 10/13/26 - Somewhere in the middle of week 2.
Today, I said see ya later to my 4 brave little troopers đ All but 1 look perfectly healthy so far đŞ. We shall see what 5 days of neglect and 90F°+ weather does to them. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I also noticed some early stages of thrips on them. Seems I can't escape these no matter what. I treated each of them and their topsoil with Essentria ICPro so hopefully their conditions improve by the time I return.

Kali_flauer 10/18/26 - Somewhere near the beginning of week 3.
I came home from my trip and was pleasantly surprised to find all 4 still alive! I am fairly certain that one of them is already expressing male traits, but I will wait a little longer to confirm. Of course it's the big healthy one at the bottom of the photo đ. Either way, they have survived the gauntlet and will live to grow another day! Thanks for checking this out, and have a wonderful harvest đ¤

Kali_flauer 10/23/26 - I am pretty sure it has been 21 days now since germination and we are at week 4.
This will be my last update with all 4 plants present (most likely). I am fairly certain one has already chosen "male" at the character creation window and will not be kept to completion. There is still hope for the other 3 and I will find out this week.
Thanks again to anyone following along. This diary will hopefully have more interesting updates moving forward. Have a wonderful harvest! đ¤

Kali_flauer 10/28/26 - Week 5.
I hit the same issue every grow with autos, where I can tell flowering is going to start the day after I update this as another veg week đ. Minor inconveniences.
2 out of the 4 have been reassigned to feline entertainment due to unwanted pollen sacs, but I am 100% certain at least 1 remaining plant is female. The other I'm almost certain is, but the pistils aren't clearly visible yet so I won't say for certain until I know. Funny how I keep hitting the 50/50 M/F ratio with regular seeds đ.
Thank you for checking this diary out, and have a wonderful harvest đ¤
