Kali_flauer Hello again and welcome to an unexpected journey with a few random crosses. First, some background regarding what's going on.
After my previous diary creating several crosses, I had a ton of seeds that seemed like they were not likely to germinate. About 50 by my best guess. Just to see what would happen, I put all 50 on a wet paper towel on my seedling mat. Within 24 hours, about 8 were showing taproots, which was completely unexpected! They all got mixed so I don't know who is who, but I picked the 4 healthiest looking seeds and put them into small pots under a low powered light. Somehow, all 4 made it, but it gets a little crazier from there. I'll continue in the next journal entry.

Kali_flauer Hello again and welcome to the first week of updates! I'll continue from the previous entry.
There isn't much documentation during the germination process, because I simply did not think they would survive part 2; the 100F° heat wave combined with complete neglect for 4 days. The pictures are from when I came home and was shocked to find 4 very healthy plants still thriving and growing. The journey is far from over however.
Next week, they will have slightly better environmental conditions, but they will be neglected for 5 consecutive days instead of 4. If they can survive the second of these two challenges, then they have certainly earned their right to life 💪. Hopefully this is a journal I continue to update, but we'll see what happens next week. Thanks for checking this out, and hopefully I have good news at the next update!
