LovelyTerps September 1 2026 - Blueberry Bastard F5 Germinated Successful.
-----------------
I will be pollinating her with Freakshow F9 pollen.
Note: I will need to take this crossing to F3, in order to lock in both mutations together. While it is theoretically possible to get a double mutant strain where both mutations are fully present, as both mutations occupy different genes in the DNA, I've yet to see a picture of one anywhere online. There have been a few who have tried and made it to F1, but I've not see anything beyond that yet. It may simply be very difficult, as the F2s need to be chain popped in the dozens to find double mutants that are healthy and capable of breeding, possibly hundreds if someone is unlucky, as the odds of an F2 being a full double mutant is 1/16.

She was topped this week, and around day 24 she started showing preflowers, and is now showing a few pistil hairs.

She was pollinated today, perhaps a but excessively lol. I'm not waiting until she has hundreds of flowers out, as I don't need that many seeds. Some of the pre-flowers are already a week ahead with visible seeds forming. That puts harvest day at November 16 2026, assuming today's pollination took.

The pollination seems to have taken well, and there are seed pods forming everywhere.
While she has zero aroma whatsoever thanks to the breeder selecting for pure stealth, a stem rub gives off that potent artificial blueberry candy aroma. 😋
I can't wait to see the F1s. In theory they should look normal, but even recessive traits can make for some wonky looking plants.

Most of the flowers have become seed pods at this point, except for one of the tops that I must have missed. A few of the seeds are nearly viable, but it's going to take another 3 to 4 weeks before they're all ready. Lighting has been switched back to 18/6 because I have a catnip clone and also some pepper plants growing in the same tent. It won't effect seed maturation, and it might even speed things up a little as new vegetation and energy production picks up. because of her size I'm not feeding her too much, just basic nutrients to ensure the seeds are healthy.
