Specnetwork September 15 Update – First Week of Flowering (Day 8 since 12/12 switch) Quick video update from September 15. We’re about one week into flowering after the flip to 12/12, so this is the early stretch phase. The girls are happy and praying to the light. Roots are thick, white, and healthy. Bucket #2 is the Double Black G13 – the beast with the massive root mass. The other three are Killer Kush F1. Environment is stable: water at 19-20°C, pH 5.8, VPD around 1.2 kPa. Defoliation is coming soon to open up the canopy. So far, so good for my first DWC run!

Specnetwork "Early veg update: These first photos are from August 1st, and veg officially started on August 17th. We're now in Week 2 of Vegetative. Bucket #2 is the Double Black G13 (the one with the thickest stem and biggest root mass). Buckets #1, #3, and #4 are Killer Kush F1. They are building a strong foundation before the real growth begins. 🌱"

Specnetwork Strain Mutation Update – Foliar Bud Phenomenon! Found a rare and super cool genetic mutation on this run! A mini bud/calyx complete with pistils and trichomes is growing right out of the center stem junction on one of the fan leaves.  In the growing community, this is commonly referred to as a "Foliar Bud" or "Epiphyllous Bud" mutation. It happens when the plant’s meristematic cells miscommunicate during growth, directing flower/trichome development onto leaf tissue instead of nodes.  Trichome Coverage: Packed with trichomes along the central vein and edges of the leaf blades.  Pistil Development: Healthy pistils emerging right from the petiole center.  Always awesome to catch rare genetic quirks like this in action! Leaving it alone to see how frosty this leaf gets by harvest time.

Specnetwork "Quick update on my first DWC run. The girls are happy – the roots are thick, white, and healthy, and the leaves are praying to the light. I'm really happy with how this first run is going so far. Defoliation is coming soon to open up the canopy and let light reach the lower buds. Bucket #2 is the Double Black G13 (the big one with the massive roots), and the other three are Killer Kush F1. Water is stable at 19-20°C, pH 5.8, VPD around 1.2-1.3 kPa. Let's see how they react after the trim. 🙏"
