This little lady is here because the free seed I attempted to grow did not start when my others did. After a few days I gave up and started this one. She is about a week behind the others I am growing.
The Critical Mass ladies seem to have an issue with the peat pods they were started in. Both sprouted with yellowing leaves and were better after a touch of nutrients. The other strains I started did not do this. I hope that putting her in the pot with super soil will give her the nutrients she needs right now without me having to keep giving her bottled nutes.
Day 11 - She's looking a little better. Colour and size are improving.
Day 13 - Growing little by little...
Day 17 - I had to spritz my ladies with water to wash away any possible pollen that may have been around from a hermie in a previous grow😥. Then I gave her a wee bit of RO water with a touch of nutrients.
Day 19 - Watered with 1 cup RO and nutrients. She's doing good so far.
Day 21 - The roots were starting to show through the holes at the bottom of the pot. She was transplanted into a 3 gallon fabric pot, given some RO water and nutrients and 3 hours later looked better already. 😀
Day 24 - There is a little upward growth, even more outward growth. Watered with 2 cups straight RO.
Day 27 - She seems to be growing well and showing no sign of deficiency or other issues. Watered with 2 cups RO and some nutrients.
Day 33 - This little lady has been doing well with very little interference. I decided to FIM her because she is a week younger than my other plants and I'm hoping she will recover quicker with FIMming than with the main-lining I've done on my other ladies. Hopefully they will all be ready for flowering in a few weeks.
Day 36 - Some decent growth up and out. She has been recovering from the FIM so far.
Day 41 - She continues to grow well with no obvious difficulties.
Day 42 - She's thirsty so she got 4 cups of RO water and a trim. Just 4 fan leaves taken off to allow the light to get to the rest.
Day 44 - I'm seeing some decent growth. I have no idea how to tell if the FIM worked. I hope I will be able to see the results soon. She's thirsty and getting straight RO water every few days. I think I will transplant her into a bigger pot soon.
Day 46 - Side branches have been FIMmed. Now to wait and see if it makes any difference.
Day 48 - She's growing well and drinking a lot so I transplanted her into a bigger pot. Still waiting to see what happens with the FIM.
Day 52 - So far she is doing well. I did some LST to try and get a bit of light to the lower branches. Watered with 1 Litre of RO water with some light nutrients. Hopefully it helps her grow a little faster.
Day 57 - This little lady seems to be doing well. I don't see any issues. I'm just waiting for my other plants to grow a bit more and then it'll be time to send her into flower.
Day 60 - She seems to be slowly growing upwards and out. She was watered with 4 cups of RO and some nutrients as she is drinking quite a bit.
Day 63 - She continues to grow and fill out. I watered her with another 4 cups of RO and no nutes.
Day 70 - this little lady is getting big and drinking regularly. Still waiting for her sisters to get a little bigger and then I will flip her to 12/12 lighting and get her flowering.
Day 73 - This will be the last week of vegetation. I watered her with 6 cups of RO with some nutrients in preparation for the change over. She growing well and pretty thirsty.
Day 78- First week of flowering. This lady is still filling out and showing some upward growth. She was watered with 6 cups of RO and no nutrients.
Day 82 - She's still growing. Some light defoliation to help with light penetration. I watered her with 4 cups of RO and nutes.
Day 84- She hasn't grown taller, since defoliation, but seems to have filled out some. No signs of stress from the defoliation. Week one of flowering is done.
Day 86- The flowering has begun. She has grown a small amount taller this week but continues to fill out and has several bud sites forming. The FIMing I did early on seems to have worked. I will be interested to see if this girl produces as much as the other Critical Mass I am growing that was topped and mainlined. This girl is a week behind the other one, as far as vegging time, but is flowering at the same time. Only RO water this week. The leaves are dark on all of my ladies and I'm not sure why, either the nutrients or my soil mix. They have always been dark and so were the ones on my last grow. 😠
Day 89- I have adjusted the pH of the RO water because the medium was registering at 7.0. I just lowered it a bit to see if it makes a difference. She was pretty dry because I wasn't home to water her sooner. She got 8 cups of RO this time. I think she would have filled up a 7 gallon pot pretty easily. Next time I'll know better.
Day 90- This young lady seems to be doing well. Still some upward growth and the flowers are starting to grow nicely. She's a little younger than my other Critical Mass that was main-lined. This one was FIMmed and then FIMmed again. She seems to be doing better than the older one so far but it will be interesting to see which one produces more in the end. I watered her with 2 litres of RO with nutrients.
Day 92- Watered again with 4 litres RO.
Day 95 - Watered with 2 litres of RO.
.
Day 104 - Four days after defoliation and she seems to be doing well. The flowers are bulking up and the leaves are filling in again. She was watered with 6 cups of RO and some nutes.
Day 117 - I can't understand why all (including the last grow) of my plants are dark green from very early on in their growth. The leaves are also slightly curled downwards around the edges. I don't feed much for nutrients, nowhere near the recommended doses. Today I have flushed them all in hopes of getting rid of any excess nitrogen. I'm wondering if I may have been too heavy-handed when mixing my soil and amendments. I thought that using organic amendments would be safer. Next time I think I will start with a basic, tried and true soil like Fox Farm and forget mixing my own until I figure this out. Newbie mistake! 😤
Day 112 - The plants are still recovering from being flushed. She seems to be filling out well and, so far, even though she is the youngest she looks like she might end up with more bud than the plants I mainlined. It will be interesting to see the final result.
Day 116 - She seems to have recovered nicely from the flush. Filling out okay so far. I gave her a litre of RO with some nutrients to help her fill out some more. The pistols are staring to turn orange and the trichomes are coming along. 😋
Day 122 - She was watered with 4 cups RO and a few nutrients. Still needing time to bulk up but she is easily the biggest of my girls.
Day 125 - Some of the pistols are orange but there are still a lot of white ones. The trichomes are fairly cloudy but not amber yet. Hopefully she'll be ready for harvest in a couple of weeks.
Day 127 - I decided to remove some of the leaves to get light down to the lower branches. She also got 4 cups of RO; she's always thirsty. 😉
Day 129 - She is recovering nicely from the trim. There are a few amber trichomes so we are nearing the end. Only watering with RO until the harvest.
DAy 133 - She has been flushed and is waiting for more amber trichomes.
Day 138 - Still waiting for more amber trichomes. There are a few so far and I hope to get some decent pictures soon.
Day 139 - I tried to get some decent photos of the trichomes.
Day 141 - I flushed the ladies again as they weren't showing any colour changes or using up the nutrients in their leaves.
Day 146 - The leaves are starting to yellow quickly now. There are several amber trichomes and the pistols are all orange/brown. I think she will be ready for some darkness in the next couple of days.
Day 148 - Time to go into the dark.
Day 151 - Harvest day. She had a decent amount of bud on her. I hope to get a good amount of dry bud and will report back with the final weight and smoke results.
One hell of an impressive plant you have there. Incredible bulk and trich development. Can't wait to see the last few weeks of her development. Great Job👍
